▶️ ABOUT THIS VIDEO: The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (C199 / R199 / Z199) is a grand tourer jointly developed by German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz and British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive and sold from 2003 to 2009. When the car was developed, Mercedes-Benz owned 40 percent of the McLaren Group and the car was produced in conjunction between the two companies. SLR is an abbreviation for "Sport Leicht Rennsport" (Sport Light Racing), a homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR which served as the car's inspiration.[5] The car was offered in coupé, roadster, and speedster body styles with the latter being a limited edition model.

I remember when these SLR's were released and that video of Clarkson driving it around Europe on a road trip and I have fell in love with them ever since.
I even got to drive one from Gotham Dream Cars here in NYC.

McLaren SLR was the first car that I seen in a magazine and thought that it was a rendering until i watched a video and fell in love.. The car looks like it's doing 100 mph sitting still.

I fell in love with cars when they came out, wanted one so bad... originally $492,000 MSRP.. They were elegant and powerful, German sound in the stride of the vehicle.. I have two in GT6...LOL ne with 1005 HP custom paint (darker Grey) Enkei rims (not five star but multi blade thin painted match ) and carbon fiber front splitter, flat floors and rear diffuser with the body shaped wing ( also painted to match )... very high top speed, still beats most cars even when raced against the AI at Circuit De La Sarthe.. not to bad for simulator.. Got a good deal on these cars especially at what they are appraised at these days.. excellent car to have in any collection, very desirable...
Only seen an SLR once here in the UK. They sound awesome!!
the heritage edition something about the carbon makes the interior and the whole car in general feel like the coolest SLR out there

On my mercedes keys, I actually colour them with vinyl on one side, so I keep them on a box with a colour, and on the inside mirror, I have like a valet parking hanging thing with the same color 👍

I know the heritage scheme just seems like mclaren rinsing rich clients for a few shiny bits but that exhaust does sound great.
Advice from Manny
1. Make sure you have good tires
2. Make sure your breaks are warm if they're ceramic
3. Make sure engine is warm
4. Make sure tire is warm

the mclaren edition (white one) was burning oil on startup. the smoke was noticeably blue
Get a tagging machine. Stick a number on the key fob. And a number on the corner of the number plate.
You can upgrade your G class to RDB to install automatic lifter to make your entrance very easy in & out.
Manny, no 722 edition yet? You definitely need to add one in the collection.
