- Tolle gets Full at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. The 94th will be shutting its doors for good this June so I had to get there and give it a final look.
Living by Bexley, we used to go there quite often. My parents lived on base on Lockbourne/Rickenbacker AFB & we celebrated many family events there. We used to go to hear the big band music, do the happy hour, & New Year's Eve Parties. Sadly, in these past years we stopped going there due to the bad service & high prices.
Cool 😎 place to eat and watch the planes 👍
Unique location for sure!
Oh wow, very cool and the food looked good too!!!!!!!!
Just need you to put together a model of the plane that was out front!

I thought you were ready for your escape on that plane. So sad that many restaurants are closing. Love the look and feel of this place. Tolle got get his big bite! The plane view is unique.
Like the whole theming of that place.
Shame it's closing Tolle. Brunch looked delicious! Interesting farmhouse and memorabilia. Any reason why their closing? Thanks for bringing us along.
I heard lease was up and they just decided it was time to move on.
Wow, I didn't know it was closing, we ate there in the 80's. The 94th Aero Squadron was the unit Rickenbacker, a Columbus native, flew in. I suppose they closed because the building needs work and with their lease being up it was a good time to get out. Too bad...I guess I better get over there quickly, or miss out for good.
Yeah, everything I read was that the lease was finished.
Looks like a Jamaican Air Force plane in the beginning.
Darn!! Must get there fast. Estate sale with awesome finds!
“Yeah, made for a better story.”
Probably gets LOOOOOOUUUUUD there.
Looked like they were selling everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink.
Such an amazing place! That walkway in the back looked so cool!! It's so sad that it's closing. I'm glad you got a great documentary of it before then.
Glad I didn't fall through any boards!
looks like an awesome place! Taking a peek upstairs was cool! love the views of the flightpath
Agreed, placed is pretty well themed.
Flying Tigers was a cool reasturant in Buffalo.
Did that one close too?
Cool looking building, nice ambiance and food looked good. It’s a shame they are closing down next month
I would've brought you down some leftovers but was afraid they'd get cold!
Sucks it is going to close, but man those views of the airport from the VIP area is awesome! Thanks for sharing this with us and keeping the memories of this place around for after it closes!
Everything comes and goes... we just have to enjoy them while we can!
Pretty cool place. Sad it is closing down. Lynn and Danny
I always like places that are out of the ordinary.
Cool place to watch some planes while eating! There used to be a restaurant very similar to this up by the Akron/Canton airport.
Oh wow, I didn't know about the CAK restaurant.
@@TheTolleRoad The restaurant was called 356 fighter group
Cool place. Unfortunately looks like it will close down before I will be in town in July so this is as close as I’ll get. Thanks for sharing
That’s a shame.
Guess where we went after watching this video 🙂. Took Brigette out for an early Mothers day Dinner. It had been decades since either of us had been there. Last day for this place will be on Fathers Day. So everyone get out there before the place is gone.
Nice! Do you have a video of your ride there coming out?
@@TheTolleRoad nope 😕 I have pictures but did not do a video 😕
Big Bite beef chunks! 🦾🛩️
It did have a WWII vibe at the end there...🧐
You could've turned the upstairs into a sweet video game room.
ha my mom works there and was in a clip lmao😭
Too cool! Hope she found a new job since the 94th closed down.
