A good song - a fun video - from a 'boy band' that has been together longer than BSB & N'Sync, and even the Beatles combined! Only one 'boy band' has outlived them, the one that "gathers no moss". Congrats, Duran Duran! I truly enjoyed this.
@@MrModel--CAPTURED-ON-FILM no. maybe we are not talking about the same thing here?. boy bands are groups of guys that don't play instruments, just dance coreographies. they don't write their own songs, and they are made up by producers, based on looks mor than anything. they are a product manufactured for teen girls and usually the music is the least important thing and made by producers appealing to current trends. boy bands don't play a single note on their songs, they just sing and dance, and they usually never sing live for real. the earliest boy band I can think of could be "new kids on the block" in the 80s. maybe we could say the "village people" were a boy band. rock bands like the beatles or the stones were friends that made a band, played instruments, wrote and performed their own music both in the studio and live, and the music wasn't made the lowest common denominator on purpose. they always tried to do different things. the only thing in common was the screaming teenagers but the rest is the total opposite both in intention and execution.

This don't sound nothing like their original vibe.
Wow...Hammer Song...
Brought me back to the 80's!! I LOVE Duran Duran! Fun Video, wonderful ahhhh doo doo dooo dooo dooo dooo, the best part!!
Love the Andy (Platinum hair) nod. Great Job! Awesome.
Duran Duran have been the most beautiful artistic influence through every single decade of my life!
Can't wait for the next 4 decades!
While I join in your enthusiasm, Simon is 63 years old, so sadly he may not last all the way through the "next 4 decades".
The greatest band of all time!!!
They truly were!

Classic Duran song and video
Mega song, mega video duran duran is back
53 from Nj. Been a fan of Duran since the early 80s. Thank you for great and inspiring music to listen to. Rio will always be one of my favorite albums.
Duran Duran still sounds sooo goood 🥰.Simons voice hasnt aged. I loved them from the first second I saw them as they participated as an quite an unknown band back in 1981 on the tvshow Måndagsbörsen. They are just brilliant 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
I AGREE HE'S SUCH A SOPHISTICATED YOUNGER MAN I SURE LOVE TO DATE HIM ONE DAY XOXOXO
@@rosemarywage9917 Simon is too old for you.
Wow sounds so duran duranish still! After so long.
The voice of Simon ... STILL AND EVER AMAZING !!!!
It's so cool to feel yourself young again, like it was 20 years ago! Real doppelgänger competition, i didn't realise that it's not real artists at first sight )))
Du Du forever in our hearts!!!!!!
There is SO much goddamn epic-ness in this video. The Queen, Daniel Craig, Elton John, some dead ringers for 80's Duran Duran? This video was worth every last damn penny.
If anyone get's sad, just hear and watch this song/video in a strange way energizing.
Duran Duran is still hands down the best band EVER!❤
agreed 100%!!! professional and artistically the best ever!!!!
you can definitely say they were a great band in the 80s, but to say the best band ever when there existed The Beatles and Pink Floyd..... Let me go out and take some air...
Agree!!!
@@habs I can most definitely see your point lol
Duran Duran are like oporto wine... better is old...This last album is terrific...
This is a great song. Simon sounds awesome.....great video as well but then again DD always did have great videos.
happy birthday,Simon.great timeless Party
This is their catchiest/most commercial song in thirty years. An Instant Duran classic
Hi there! Well, to me it is the catchiest tune after "pressure off" :-) :-) :-) Nile Rodgers and DD have always been a Dream-team to me, I wonder why he didn`t turn up in this video! :-) :-) :-)
Best.
Concordo contigo!! Vida longa a Duran Duran!!
Excelente banda, sem mais palavras!
Muito legal seu comentário.Sempre fui Duranie.Abraço
Concordo contigo brother, os caras são foda, conseguem se manter atualizados,são megastars,Duran Duran forever
Saudações Duranies!!! Vídeo maravilhoso!!!!!!
A good song - a fun video - from a 'boy band' that has been together longer than BSB & N'Sync, and even the Beatles combined! Only one 'boy band' has outlived them, the one that "gathers no moss". Congrats, Duran Duran! I truly enjoyed this.
you mention the beatles as a boy band? what???????????? the beatles are not a boy band, they are the opposite, a rock band.
@@pelgervampireduck The Kinks, the Stones, The Hollies - they all began as Boy Bands at one time.....
@@pelgervampireduck Well then, I guess Duran Duran were never a 'boy band' - my apologies....
Oy, they're not a boyband, please dont ever call them that!
So funny love it ! Classic Duran Duran
My fav group from school days now I'm 51 still duranie forever n from malaysia
I am so happy. I can't imagine my life without duran duran as part of my journey. Always lifting me up, always that powerful deep connection. Love you then, now and forever!!
Decadent and incredible as always. Life long Duran fan here. You guys never disappoint.
Decadent and incredible. Well said!
You nailed it!!
DD FOREVER
Brilliant video and song - perfect DD
This captures the essence of Duran Duran perfectly. That young Simon LeBon is a perfect replica of early Simon.
I love this video! I’ve been a fan since I first heard them with Planet Earth way back in the 80s and they have still got it. The boys are still going strong. Love all the look alikes and Simon playing poker with “the Queen”.
I got turned on to Duran Duran because of "Planet Earth" as well, especially when I saw them in the Planet Earth MTV video. They looked so unique and different with their Renaissance style shirts and gorgeous lion mane hairstyles. Their music sound was also very different and otherworldly at that time, for me being a pre-teen girl in the Midwest USA. (Anyone from England to me was kind of otherworldly! Ha ha)
I feel very fortunate to have seen DD from the beginning and watch them evolve musically over the past 4 decades. They never disappoint. Always interesting! :)
A much needed tonic after the year everyone has had, well done Duran Duran ❤
For me hitting arcadia or 'big thing' with 5 gin and tonics MIGHT erase the year!
the best duran duran
Simon le bon is the best male vocalist of the eighties and now love you too much Simon
Duran Duran saved me when I was a kid and I will forever love them.
Me too.
I would have gone stark raving mad without them when I was 14 back in 82-83. They really captured my imagination and I adore. They saved me from loneliness and boredom. Such fun, to this day. Energy, enthusiasm and smarts. And talent!! Love
@@dond6433 I was 14 as well when I found them, 83-84. And there are things I wouldn't have come out the other side of had it not been for them. Music has power and theirs gave me something to hold onto and look forward to when everything else was pulling me under.
Thanks for the invite. What a great idea 😁 Looking forward to it! Anniversary is such a tune - and so recognisable as DD.
Their voices and sound...can not be mistaken for anyone else....
My daughter, 13, pointed out the same! She thought it significant that they still have their sound after 40 years!!!
Fuuck!!!
Is awesome, Duran Duran is my fav band forever, is amazing.
Sempre i migliori … the best always
My favorite song on the new album!!!!
The company I work for has the yacht Drum that RIO was filmed on I’ve sailed on her being a Duran Duran fan it made my day and something I’ll never forget greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 I’m nearly 60 now
Happy birthday to the best frontman ever, Simon LeBon! My first love, still making music that makes me so happy all these years. When I was a kid, when I was down for any reason, I just put on music and always felt better. That means more than words can say.
slb 63 anniversary, thank you that reat voice, lyrics and music
I won a competition with Heart Radio once many years ago and got to sit on Simon"s knee! I'm not an Evil Woman, just a massive fan of both Duran Duran and ELO. Great cover guys! 😊
I'm excited for this! A fan for 40 years and counting!
Duran Duran is, musically-speaking, the band U2 wish they were - still relevant, while constantly challenging themselves. For U2, that ended after Achtung, Baby.
You've never listened to Original Soundtracks 1 by Passengers then...
I love the Marc Massive cameo
Yup that's the tune I'm looking for :)
this is how the beautiful people from the 80s party, on repeat...
A proud duranie til my last day
this song is up there with their best...chorus for days
Nick’s vampire cape at the end > everything else
This video is genius!
Style. Content. Duran Duran will never ler me ver old.
