DD were the first band I saw live. It was 19 December 1983 at Wembley Arena, and was my 13th birthday. I was a member of the fan club so had really good seats in the second block from the front.
I just cannot believe those guys from the 80's are still performing as they are, they have millions and they still want to entertain, God please bless them all
When I saw this on The Graham Norton Show and heard Duran Duran sing, Black Moonlight, I thought, WHAT A SONG! I loved it so much that I started to boogie to it. Thanks Duran Duran. Fabulous song! 😁💃🏻❤
These guys still look and sound great for being in their "gulp" mid 60's now. Man, I'm feeling old myself knowing I was listening to these guys over 40 years ago. Time flies!
Ironic isn't it. One of the most successful and long lived bands of all time can be so underrated. No other band (other than may be U2) is cracking out as good music in their 60s as they were in their 20s
DD makes me feel like I am 20 again. So many great pieces of artistic mastery and each of them shines in their own right. Talented musicians and I loved them in the beginning and even more today. Happy birthday Simon! ❤
It's Simon's birthday?! Happy birthday, Simon! I concur with you, but I discovered them in '82. Hearing the song makes me want to fix my hair, out on makeup, and get kicked out of the club for dancing too long!
@@persephone2296 I do as well, especially some of the more obscure tracks like "Michael. You have a lot to answer for", "Nice", "bedroom toys", and "Northern lights".

DURAN DURAN is a world treasure and we must all appreciate their craft and presence! They are ageless throughout the decades and will forever live in our hearts and mind! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
Can we please stop with this “ageless” crap. They’ve aged and there’s nothing wrong with that. Also there’s nothing wrong with being old and there’s nothing wrong with looking the age you are. I swear, our obsession is youth is so real and so normalized that even old people hate old people

I'm the same. First got into them in the early 80s with hits like Rio and Hungry Like The Wolf. When they did A View To A Kill, I was hooked completely. I'm 47 getting on for 48 now, but listening to this makes me feel so much younger - it's like been 14 again lol!
Me too! I’ve loved them since I was 10ish and am almost 51! They weaved their way into my tender, young heart when I first heard Hungry Like the Wolf. I am eternally a Duranie! ❤❤
The same with me. I started listening them at age of 11, the time of Wild boys/Arena live album. Still following every new music they make and having all their albums. A lifetime fan. Welcome back lads!
I have been a long time fan of Duran Duran since 1982, they are the greatest band ever in my opinion, they have produced some of the most greatest music ever, songs like planet earth, girls on film, careless memories, the reflex, save a prayer, Rio,a view to a kill, skin trade, vertigo, orderly world, come undone, do you believe in shame, all she wants is, right up to all their recent albums, they are legends of the music world
One of THE biggest and most talented bands , musicians on the planet for decades! They have successfully stayed on top of the charts, on top of the music industry game where many other bands of the same genre, & different genres that started out in the 80’s have failed to do . They topped out in the 80’s then found it hard to stay relevant, change up their music enough to keep current , sound fresh but still like themselves to stay current with the changing music scene … Duran Duran are masters of reinventing their sound , themselves to consistently stay on top in the music world! 40 years of absolutely incredible music album after album- along with always pushing themselves to be better and better… while even creating new genres of music like they have with “ Danse Macabre”!
I can't knock it when you see lighting in a bottle you just have to sit back and enjoy it. This will be played for many years to come and be one of their songs in their line up. I think in the writing of this song it took just two days and the combo of Andy Taylor , Nile Rogers on this track took it to another level it almost brought the magic back. Big up Dom Brown for playing so well on this track live never been keen on his playing but he has been there for many years and has been respectful to all guitarist coming in and out over his tenure I give him a big thumbs up.
Wise words and beautifully spoken 😊. Dom really enjoys playing with DD, these years on the road with them are going very well. Despite being very dedicated, he is respectful towards the guitarists (Andy, Warren and Nile). Dom Brown is sensational and played very well, honoring their work, which was also part of Danse Macabre.
This whole album is their best in ages - and that's really saying something, because the last couple were really great. This song is just brilliant- I hope it hits because it definitely slaps.
So far this is the best tune I've heard from the new album. Great band and Rock n Roll Hall of famers for sure! Masterful songwriting and musicianship.
Thrilled to see Simon looking so amazing and happy on his birthday - here's to many more for a truly lovely gentleman! DD forever! They make their live performances sound even *better* than the studio versions, they are so underrated as the excellent musicians they are.
I don't know how they keep getting better with age, but they do! Phenomenal song and they look great. Saw them twice this year and both shows were beautiful.
