Welcome to madventure, we're MADison and iVEN (okay it is spelled Ivan, but pronounced like VENture) a husband and wife living the adventure we have been dreaming of, despite the fact that it makes us sound completely mad. For us that looks like traveling full time and starting our own businesses.
For Madison, a former reality TV producer, the dream is the madventure community, connecting people through travel, experiencing new cultures, and trying the best foods from carts, stands and restaurants all over the world. She hopes to encourage others to follow their maddest most adventurous dreams, whatever they may be!
For Ivan, a former NASA engineer, it is creating an engineering product that will change the world!
Travel and food are two of our biggest passions, so on this channel we will be traveling the world, and staying awhile to experience what life is actually like living other places. We're excited to have you on board for the delicious, culture filled, madventurous times that will ensue! Let's madventure! xoxo

We just moved to Colorado. We have been skiing a couple times before (past 2 years) at Keystone and Breck. I don't recommend Keystone for first-timers. Once you're proficient at skiing greens, Keystone is a fun mountain - although limited green runs. Breck is a better all-round resort. We have Epic passes this year, so looking forward to hitting the slopes more than a few days.

That is amazing! I definitely want to visit Keystone and Breck! I've tried skiing in Vermont and California, but truly nothing beats that Colorado snow!!! Thanks for the recs! I've heard the snow should be amazing this year, have and EPIC season!

Great video! Thanks for posting! If lessons weren’t so expensive, we’d all take one…but that would be over $500 for 4 of us :/ Skiing is crazy expensive for a day or two. Clothing, boots, goggles, gloves/gear you wear once, rentals, lift tickets…eek!! We’re looking forward to it though, can hardly wait!!!

Thank you so much! You're right, they are so expensive! We hope to go one day during the less busy season when they are doing one of the cheaper, multi-day learn-to-ski workshops, but it is only during certain times of year. The snow looks amazing this season, have a great time!!!! ⛷❄️

While lessons are expensive, I think they are required _because_ skiing is so expensive. What you learn, even in a half-day lesson, will make skiing so much more enjoyable. So many folks give up after spending a day on the bunny slopes, but lessons will generally get you skiing at least easier green slopes - which makes the experience so much more fun. If you get a season pass or multi-resort pass (Ikon, Epic, etc), they typically have discounts. Alternatively, many resorts will give you a discounted same-day lift ticket when you book a lesson (for example Breck only charges $50 for a lift ticket when purchased with a group lesson). Or, you can go to a less expensive mountain to learn to ski (Loveland Ski Valley is only $50 for adults - which is a fraction of the big resorts).
