The Sedona Method: How It Works

  • There are five ways to approach the process of releasing, and they all lead to the same result: liberating your natural ability to let go of any unwanted emotion on the spot, and allowing some of the suppressed energy in your subconscious to dissipate revealing your unlimited potential.
    The first way is by choosing to let go of the unwanted feeling. The second way is to welcome the feeling, to allow the emotion just to be. The third way is to dive into the very core of the emotion. The fourth way is by dissolving the opposing polarities we all carry, and the fifth way is by seeing through the feeling to the effortless Awareness that is right behind it.

    13 gentle and urgent reminders from your soul:
    1. You're ALWAYS exactly where you are supposed to be
    2. Self-esteem is measured by you (nobody else gets to decide your worth)
    3. Get rid of fear: FOREVER
    4. When things are tough, change the way you see things
    5. Don't dwell on/in the past (come back to this present moment)
    6. It's only temporary (all of it!)
    7. You have what it takes
    8. You don't need to change
    9. Release your need for control
    10. Accept. Allow. Breathe. Deep.
    11. Remember where you came from
    12. Remember that you are not alone (not ever!)
    13. Remember who you are

    Letting go of recurring thoughts and the feelings that arise is not the same for me at all. For one thing, once I drop an object, that object doesn’t jump back up into my hand and make me keep dropping it over and over. But my experience with thoughts is they come back over and over and over. The feelings in the body don’t go away quickly for me either. Now I do admit that if I am suddenly in a different situation that moves my attention, things can change quickly. But I admit I have not been able to manufacture that. I will keep it as an aspiration and forgive myself.

    • @TheSedonaMethod
      @TheSedonaMethod  2 года назад +9

      Dropping an object is only used as an analogy to point to what letting go is like. We get better and better at letting go as we continue to practice. Eventually the habits of the mind and the sensations in the body release fully and no longer have any charge.

      @@TheSedonaMethod not for me! I was so sedated my emotions had flat lined & it was like being the living dead. I was a shell of my former self! They are not helpful at all long term & the damage done to the Central Nervous System over 20-30 years should be a crime against humanity, because it is! There are very few MDs who know how to take people off these neurotoxins! Almost none! Except for the now passed Dr. C. Heather Ashton, Psychiatrist, Psychopharmacologist from the UK! At the end of her life, she questioned if any of these drugs were really helping anything or just doing damage! They act as neurotoxins over many years of use, for which, I now know, they were never intended! It’s a hell of an experience! It even makes it difficult to be put under anesthesia for an operation, depending on what is used! The only fun part of withdrawal, if one lives through it, is after the sensory overload, one can become hyper intuitive & experience messages & the ONENESS of all things for a time, which I wouldn’t trade...but the recovery has been hell! There’s very little support. And only those who are withdrawing are allowed & I have witnessed the hell of other’s withdrawals as well! It was great to feel emotions again & even to feel some bodily pain, which meant that poison was leaving my body! Long-term...these drugs can cause organ failure & early-onset Alzheimer’s. Buy that is denied, unless you know how the FDA works with pharma. (This info did come from prescribers of this Med & those who studied withdrawal in Canada with pharmacists & other professionals.)

    Then clearly trauma symptoms like intrusive thoughts, overwhelming feelings, (nightmares) and PTSD reactions are all a lie! People just choose to stay in pain, so therapy and therapists are obsolete because all we need is to ask ourselves are we willing to let it go or do we choose to be in pain. Wow, that's not insulting and over simplified at all.

    • @TheSedonaMethod
      @TheSedonaMethod  5 месяцев назад +2

      It's true that letting go is central feature of TSM. There is a process of welcoming that allows for everything that needs resolution to come up and release. There is no bypassing of uncomfortable or difficult material like intrusive thoughts or overwhelming feelings, or nightmares or PTSD in TSM. It will go as deep and as far as one chooses to go.

    • @whatbringsmepeace
      @whatbringsmepeace 19 дней назад

      You can *choose* to be insulted, if you have a victim mentality, or you can look at the solution offered and see if it will work for you. Some people prefer to hang on to their 'treasured wound' and the sympathy that accompanies it rather than heal. Your journey through life is guided by the choices you make, the places you put yourself, the people you surround yourself with. As a child you might have had to endure things but as an adult you can let that go and choose to live without the burden of rehashing the past. Trauma can be healed, but only if you're motivated to let it go and seek a different life
