I feel the image of "Otaku" has been changing as anime or manga have been having better image and bigger influence to us, public. Now that almost everybody has their favorite anime or manga, we don't need to feel embarrassed or hide the fact.

I'd be speaking as one of the Japanese, but I like people who can immerse themselves in one thing and know a lot about it.
Also, I wouldn't classify them as extroverted or introverted.
Personally, I find it hard to have a good relationship with someone too extroverted 😓
