The sad thing is there are plenty of Father's like this especially in the Black Community. Its just they get don't get the recognition. Remember Michael Jackson had Joe Jackson that made sure his family was going to make it. In less than 10 years he moved them from Gary, Indiana to Beverly Hills, California.

Amen Darryl. I'm Ethiopian in Montreal, single mom of a beautiful 5 yr old boy. I just had to cut his father coz I realized my son would be hurt and disappointed in life by a man that just didn't give a damn about by a Father to my boy. Sometimes kinda biological father. N verrrryyy abusive to me. It hurts. However, I know any male who leave a beautiful strong African lady pregnant, alone, no family, n 5 yrs later, show same shit???? Naaaaahhh.

I love hearing stories about good people who have great people holding them up. His dad was a REAL ONE! He knew from the beginning that his son was special and nurtured his talent and made sure it was valued. No hesitation, even under tough circumstances. There are many great black fathers similar to his father. They invest in their families, respect women, and actively participate in their children's lives by supporting them with love and protection with the best of their abilities. Media promotes the ladder side of the spectrum so often we think it's one-sided. It's not. My Dad wasn't emotionally or spiritually well enough in this life to be the father he was meant to. But the few gems I got from him I appreciate. I had wonderful grandfathers and uncles who went out of their ways to show me their hearts. It wasn't always perfect, but they were good to me and my siblings and covered us when my dad struggled. Because of them and the women in my life I can love and forgive. Imagine if all of our children had someone to invest and value them...imagine a world filled with people putting out their best out into the world all the time. It's worth imagining and investing, don't you think.

Reid, but Reid was stealing from Babyface. I can understand stealing from artists, but stealing from your business partner is dirty.

Can yall stop with the whole FATHER in his life story line... who many successful people we have seen that was raised by a single mom??? This is a story about simply knowing your worth... doesn't matter if it's a mom or dad or aunt or cousin or grandparent... we as a people need to know our worth IN GENERAL!

We need those Michael Jackson Darkchild tracks... Maybe one day but it has to be right along with the family. Because he knows it is disrespectful without Michael being here since he was such a perfectionist the same with a gone the same with will I am the same with T pain. None of Want to bring out anything without disrespecting.

@@Lessons4Life BS!!!!!!!!!!!! Rodney worked with more artists in the first 4 years of his career than Teddy worked with in the lifetime of his career, including up until now. If Rodney wouldve signed with that mother%$%#$$, the tracks wouldve said "Produced by Teddy Riley" in big bold font. Then at the bottom, in small font, it wouldve said "additional production by Rodney Jerkins." If anything, Rodney wouldve made a lot less money and worked with less artists directly.
