Everyone out here talking about how beautiful and cool Rachel is (rightly so), but I haven't seen one comment that says how cool it is that Ed built her a TRIKE out of a c90 in a bloody scrap yard in the desert. Lol

It is easier to build a tricycle in the desert then it is to find a women who will ride an adventure like that.
I'm by no means putting him down, I'm just saying that almost every guy I know would do all of that to keep his love going whereas I don't know a single women who would even do that trip in the best of circumstances much less when everything seems to be going against them.

@@CoreyBrass yeah which is basically my point; no one here was commenting on how great it is that Ed (or most guys as you say) did that for Rachel. It was all just about how beautiful she is

@mad ass that's very cool. Maybe the world is full of them but I rarely come across them. Finding a women who will ride with you isn't that hard but I've not had good luck finding one that wants to ride their own bike. The few I do know of are fair weather riders at best.

Thanks for the great videos. I have watched a few of them now, I'm 65 years old and been riding for 48 years. The longest trip i made was was one year and five months. It started from Hamilton Ontario on a 1978 Honda 350. I left home with $300 a lot of money back then and traveled all over the USA. When I ran out of money I would work on farms or pump gas for a week then continue on. I would go fishing or pick clams and have beens on toast most of the time. Watcthing your videos reminds me of my trip and the life long memory that have I from taking it. I'm still riding but keep my trips to a few days now.
    Best regards.

Ed I am simply gobsmacked by what you two achieved crossing the Rockies on those C90's. I know just how steep and difficult those passes are, unfortunately video does not do them justice. A week or so after I bumping into you and Rach in Oklahoma I was doing them on my KTM690 and found that hard enough. In fact I split my 6mm thick alloy bash plate in half coming down a steep track from Engineer Pass despite 10 inches of suspension travel so God knows how you two got over them.
You are so right about GPS Kevin, I got into quite a few nasty situations following his route including getting lost in the Moab desert when the route just disappeared and the same thing in a massive forest in Oregon where as a result I nearly ran out of petrol. On an earlier occasion the route sent me through the centre of a private power generation facility guarded by people with guns. Luckily they looked at my GPS and believed my story. I came across some Kiwi riders using GPS Kevin's route who had also experienced serious problems. I do not recommend anyone to follow GPS Kevin's route, get the real thing from Sam. All the best to you both in your travels! Charles.

This is an amazing film/video you've made here, Ed. It was my favorite by far. I am taken aback by how great your skills are to have created a working trike that could go that far, and even more impressed with your decision to finish what you started. Congratulations to you and Rachel on an amazing trek back and forth across North America! Pretty amazing.

Ed I'm impressed the time you spend on making those movies and also the rough trails you take. Seriously I rode from Malaysia to The netherlands myself on a brand new 150cc dirtbike and I know how hard and tough it can be sometimes..but this is absolutely hands down amazing! Also to Rachel ever dropping down but still continuing and now solo! My full respect! I'm surely gonna make a donation I definitely would like to see you finishing the journey! Hopefully will meet you or you and Rach somewhere in the near future! Cheers from Spain - Wiljen

Ed, thanks for the simply fantastic videos. A week or so ago I watched “Long Way Up”, and I really enjoyed it. Then I spotted your videos on RUclips after apparently searching for something about long trips on the American continent. Well, what an absolutely rip roaring adventure it has been watching you and up to now Rachel riding through the harshest conditions you can imagine. I know my big overweight ‘adventure’ bike would have been a liability on many of the sections you rode.
Thanks again for the videos that I'm trying not to burn through too quickly!
