Great video!!! I've loved watching you discover BG3, but this one is so cool to get a small glimpse into your world. Thanks for sharing Joe!! After playing BG3 I enjoyed watching youtubes about the voice actors, and watching them play D&D. It's interesting that I think the Astarion actor (Neil) is also a voice actor in a number of the other games you enjoy playing. As others here have said, your authenticity is captivating! Thoroughly enjoying your vids
I did my first playthrough of BG3 last year around this time. Since then I have regularly watched videos related to it on youtube; but I admit I can be quite picky about watching other people play the game. To date I have only watched one other full playthrough of the game simply because I so rarely find a reactor that doesn't end up driving me crazy (probably a personal problem and not a genuine reflection of the reactor's skills). That being said, I was immediately hooked on your videos. Your personality is really soothing with a side of entertaining, and you are detail oriented rather than trying to rush through the game content which really suits my own style well. I love your genuine reaction style as opposed to a lot of the more boisterous and over the top sorts and I absolutely adore your responses to the romance aspects of this game (especially the Gale magic scene, and Lae'zel's spicy come on). I don't EVER watch uncompleted playthroughs because I have no patience, but somehow I have watched everyone of your bg3 vids and actually turned on notifications so I see when you post next. Anyway ... thanks for your thoroughly enjoyable work ❤.

I hate your BG3 series! It makes me wanna watch it every single day and crave for more episodes, but you're only able to release like 2 a week. I hate loving it! xD Keep it up!
I can say I've been here since you had the clashing lime green bedroom LMAO 😆 I'll remember it in the future when you become big and get a gaming room/background! Also it's been so uplifting as a fellow "non-straight" to see someone like us get popular in the gaming community. It's frustrating af to constantly watch others and not being able to relate at all. Keep it up man! Don't get discouraged if views ever start to dip or anything, that's normal, and we're all here to keep it going! And for the part time job you mentioned... there's absolutely nothing wrong with putting your free time into this channel and not a part time job. Right now you can afford to do that and keep seizing that opportunity - it'll pay off in the long run! Investing in this rn is smart. Sorry for long comment haha but also... RDR2 AND KINGDOM HEARTS MENTIONED HELL YEAH.
I love anime. I'd highly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Ghost in the Shell SAC, Samurai Champloo (I think you'll really like this one), the movies Perfect Blue and Grave of the Fireflies,. Sailor Moon because it's my favorite and first anime I ever watched. I've got so much Sailor Moon merch.
It's nice getting to know a little bit more about the mind behind the chill content! Didn't get to ask any questions myself, but I think everyone's kinda got it covered lol. Keep going, I genuinely look forward to watching your videos!
Hi Joe! So glad that I joined your channel. Thanks for this chat format so we can get to know you. I hope your channel becomes super successful. Btw you’re a total cutie! 😉

Cullen from DAI is my favourite too! Agree with the other commenters, you have a very smooth voice that is calming to listen too and your videos are fun to watch. If you ever had time I would love to see you do a reaction video to Stray Kids, if you haven’t heard of them I think you would enjoy them from what you’ve said. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself, keep those videos coming.
Hi....I found your first BG3 video and have watched them all since...you're absolutely adorable (literally a couple of years older than my son) and I loved watching your vids but wasn't sure whether to watch this. I am SO glad I did. You are such a wonderful lad, I am so glad you're doing so well at the moment, LONG may it continue :D I watch YT while I play BG3 and it's become a habit to search your channel first to see if there's a new instalment yet. You're doing a fantastic job with your vids: they have a perfect balance of being funny, endearing, thinking outside the box, and great editing. Anywho, this is the end of your school report. A+
Just wanted to say again that I'm really enjoying your channel! I was looking for a BG3 playthrough that was starting or recently started when I came across your Part 1, and I'm really glad I found it! I find your voice and your reaction style and just your vibes in general to be very pleasing! Since you mentioned getting used to editing a few times here, I also want to mention that I do really like the way you edit, I think you have a really good balance between cutting some out and leaving in what's important. I sometimes struggle to watch super long videos, and yours have been fantastic and easy to keep up with watching! You mentioned potentially doing a Dark Urge playthrough, and I'm already excited if you do! I really hope your channel keeps growing and that you do get to do this full-time, it's great that you're doing this because you are passionate about it and that does come through in your videos!
Thanks for answering my question about a potential Honour mode run! Your approach makes a lot of sense. Currently I’m on Tactician as Dark Urge on my second playthrough, and plan to try Honour mode afterwards. Whatever you end up doing, it’ll be entertaining to watch I’m sure😊
1:50 fair warning if anyone reads this I watched old boy with a friend after she recomended it to me in my living room with my family let me tell you was that a bad idea. Maybe just watch it without your parents around. Incredible movie tho it made me deeply uncomfortable.
When you said “I’m not young I’m 20.” My 30 year old ass: 🖕👵🏻 Found your videos on a day I really needed it just before Christmas and I’ve been watching on my console but I wish I’d subscribed on my main account before now, I think you’d do really well doing live playthroughs (maybe for a Durge run👀) too if you ever feel confident enough for it, I’ll be there cheering you on 😁 Thank you for making these and I hope you have an easy and successful year at uni 😁
I love Disco Elysium and Rdr2 too. 😊 The stories are so great. Also Dragon Age series, origins in particular, I love it. 💜 Aww, Walking Dead 💜 Good morning from Finland!
Thanks for letting us get to know a bit more about you Joe! Looking forward to being able to support via patreon :) -Justin ….also hope you feel better soon!
Heh, I was spot-on guessing your age and place of birth 😀I'm from North Notts and most of my ancestors were from South Yorkshire or Derbyshire. If you like Japanese media, I have a couple of recommendations: * Zatoichi (2003 movie) - a blind samurai helps two geisha siblings avenge their parents' murder * Cowboy Bebop - the classic sci-fi anime, kinda cyberpunk Firefly (small spaceship with a quirky "found family" crew), and a wonderful jazz soundtrack Keep up the good work and get well soon! P.S. Dark Urge might not be the best option for Honour Mode - it isn't any more difficult than any other character, but there's extra story content and plot twists that you might miss if you're focused on not getting wiped out in combat!
24:38 Baldur's Gate 3 is not a game to rushed if it is to be enjoyed. There is a lot of lore and exposition. "Plenty to digest after all. A good deal to stew over, if you will. Words with import should be savored so as to better absorb their meaning, wouldn't you agree? " - E
Hi Joe! I'm really enjoying your play through of BG3. I'm a bit ahead of you in the story, I just reached level 7 and started act 2. I'm enjoying seeing how our different decisions impact the story. I'm particularly interested to see how your choices influence a character you should meet soon. No spoilers, maybe I'll comment after you meet them. I'm also not a big reality TV fan but love the UK version of the traitors. I'm in the states so watching it is a bit tricky but I've managed to see the first two series plus the first couple of episodes of this year's entry. I tried watching the US version but couldn't get through the first episode.
When you get through A Song of Ice and Fire, Stormlight and so, I'd recommend giving The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson a look. Very imaginative high fantasy that consciously subverts a lot of tropes and expectations. A bit of a learning curve though, as Erikson just throws the reader in, mid-action and you have to sort of figure things out as you go along, but a fantastic read. Great channel Joe! Loving the BG3 run.
"By the time I've caught up to the Song of Ice and Fire books hopefully ole Georgie boy will have finished writing them." Oh you sweet summer child...🙃Definitely a good read though. Amazing books.
If you like samurai and wanna get into anime I’d definitely recommend Samurai Champloo! It’s a quick watch with awesome art and the perfect soundtrack. The story is short but still satisfying. It’s my favorite lol just sayin :)
Final Fantasy XV!!! such an underrated game and even with its flaws the vibes are great in that game especially with the music and the main boys. it was my first time playing a final fantasy and it got me hooked instantly and will always be my biased #1 final fantasy game. great video, it was nice getting to know you a bit more!
And a lovely chat it was! Nice getting to know some stuff about you. I have a random thing out of nowhere, but considering you just told me you're a Woodkid fan, as well as me hearing about your media preferences - have you ever given the series Arcane a shot? If not, I can highly recommend it. Features two Woodkid tracks as well. (Ignore that it's based on LoL, it really doesn't matter at all). I won't bore you with any more fangirling than that hahaha. Hope you get well soon! Patiently awaiting the next installment of the Joe Greene show ft. the Boy Wizard Gale 😄

Hi! First of all, thank you for answering my questions!! I completely understand why you're playing the FF VII remakes instead of the original. Contrary to what you said, you are quite young, so those early FF games are pretty old already, hahaha, but still quite enjoyable. I've seen other comments saying it, but I really recommend FF X: it has a super interesting plot, pretty fun characters and dialogue, and is challenging at times. The graphics are still quite good, considering its years. FF VI is also one of my favorites, but it can be daunting for some people to dive into a game that old. I don't really know how Patreon works but I feel like most youtubers use it for: early access, extended content, and exclusive material. I'm pretty sure you can livestream there so you could try it before livestreaming here in the wild hahaha since there will only be people who know you and want to watch you. Maybe later down the road, if you feel like editing and uploading side missions are taking too much of your time, you could upload them fully unedited on patreon for those who want to watch them. That way you'll only have to edit the most interesting/important ones but you'll still be able to record and post all the exploring you want to do. I'm rambling at this point so, yeah lmao that's it. I hope Uni goes well and don't let us get in the way of your studies! Gotta keep those grades up!! Hhahahah
I knew you were british, I thought you´d be 17 and live in the basement of your parents, good to see i was wrong. Really enjoying your videos, they are just great and fun to watch, thank you. ❤
Label confused for the win! Plenty of time to figure a lot of that out. Seriously though, youtube loves giving suggestions on videos based on similar viewing, and your playthrough popped up and I was like....LET'S GO!!! Absolutely enjoying your run, especially seeing you dive right in on tactical. I fell into having my main, Gale, Shadowheart and then rotated out the 4th slot as needed. Love seeing you switch out everyone. Romance in games is always fun if they really make the story behind the characters involved. I admit, I added a mod to pc for Dragon Age Origins called equal love that let me romance Alistair. Though for the official DA Keep page I had to put down that I romanced Zevran. Then came Anders. And Dorian. And currently Lucanis. hmm.....seems I have a type. Magical brooding puppy dog eyes. Which explains why I'm team Gale for BG3. I haven't attempted honor mode run for BG3 yet. I know it's just one save and what you roll for those checks are locked in (outside of using reroll options the game gives you naturally). The only true spoiler I will offer is that you have speak with animals. Cast it first thing after long rest. It's good all day. And if you see your puppy Scratch with an ! above his head, talk to him. If he has a ball ....TOSS IT for him. Trust me. Toss it.
We have alot in common. Id like to recommend a book that i recently found " Between two fires" by christopher buehlman. Its a short book but i kicked myself for having found it so late.
I can’t wait to see how you grow into a fantastic content creator! You’re on a great path and it’s great to see! Also, would you ever consider streaming?
@@hallemcdowell9055 Yes I would at some point! Like I said in the video I’d like to stream games that aren’t very story based or maybe games I’ve played before and I’d have to change my setup a little cos my current setup doesn’t really work for streaming.
I prefer The style of lets play your doing rather than streams for all the reasons you said. But one potential good streamable game is Dark Souls/Elden Ring. They do have good plot and lore don't get me wrong, but the way it is told suits streaming better than bg3 would
Since you talked about maybe getting into anime someday.... Based on some things you said about your taste in fiction, I'd like to recommend Madoka Magica. Stay far, far away from any spoilers.
Don't know if you heard of it before, but I think you might like this game: ghost of tsushima. It is asian/samurai themed. My brother played it and he had a lot of fun with it. Loved this video and literally all parts of BG3 so far and I'm really looking forward to the next one!

Emphasis on Cute - "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" - amazing fantasy story with great visuals Samurai: - "Deamon Slayer" - average story with amazing visuals. - "Heike Story" - Shakespearean tragedy, directed by Naoko Yamada. Don't be fooled by the artstyle Witcher: "Claymore" - Mutant demon hunters in a dark europen medieval world I have a lots of fun watching your videos. Great job!
My gaming twin. Mass Effect is my favorite game series of all time, and I am also a huge Dragon Age sl*t. Is it too late to ask, what class did you pick for them? There are wrong answers. I need to play neir automata, my husband enjoyed it. Also, don't worry yourself with labels. At the end of the day you don't owe anyone an explanation. Have you played The Last of Us? One of my top 5 games including Zelda OoT, Animal Crossing NH, Final Fantasy X, and Balders Gate 3.
Great taste in movies there, I'll follow on letterboxd as Theorak, I do non-professional reviews. If you are looking for anime Samurai, I cannot help but recommend Afro Samurai, it is weird but funny and bloody as heck. Witcher books are a fine read, found them a bit grimdark after a while, but there is fun in that. You checked out the game series yet?
Hi Joe, I am Jamarian Carver. Greene your last name? Might be obvious but with gaming channels people don't normally title their channel their actual name. fair warning I know you like to read but I don't know if you like to read another long comment😅, you post a 30-minute video talking about yourself and your passions I have got a lot to say about appreciating you and your passions. 😄 Let me just say, I appreciate finding someone into gaming with the sincerity you have, like I went back and started watching your Silent Hill 2 playthrough and I'm on part 10 right now and the compassion you have for characters is rare, and it's so refreshing to watch. Silent hill isn't particularly a game I would play but the story is fascinating. When the VA is exceptionally deep in tone, I can feel the character's back story through their emotion and then watching your empathetic expressions toward those tragic characters, I enjoy a game much more. I am an open world, RPG, Looter, Character creator make your own story type of gamer. Not going to lie, I Subscribed because you were a cutie playing a game I fucking love, being Baldur's Gate 3. Really superficial reason, but I stayed subscribed because of your excitement and compassion for the games you play. I would love to watch a coop Baldur's Gate 3 with your friends. If this game wasn't so damn long, I would like to coop with you. By the time you finish the game who knows what the future is. Anyways, man you are amazing, and I can't wait to finish the rest of these playthroughs.
I know this has been requested time and time again for many RUclipsrs, but I just gotta know: have you played any of the Last of Us games? Not sure if you're primarily a PC player or if you play on console as well, but I know they just ported the first game to PC if you'd call yourself the former. If you have not played or know very little I think a blind playthrough of the games would do phenomenally on this channel! :^)

Love your Bg3 play-through Joe ! Keep up the awesome work !

Saved to my list for later, your voice is so soothing and calm. Your bg3 play through has been very enjoyable. I'll listen to this one in work on Monday :)
Your taste in games, films, music, and books is amazing. I'm currently rereading the A Song of Ice and Fire series lol.
@T3ddyD7 Rereading?? Wow how long does it usually take you to finish one of them?
@@greenmanjoe1 One book takes me about 17 hours to finish, but I enjoy it. I try to read for one hour a day. I'm now 130 pages into the second book lmao
Thanks for this. It's great to get to know a little bit about you as we watch your play through. I look forward to more content from your channel. Keep up the great work!
@@auroradisneyfaerie8503 This is lovely cheers 💚
Great BG3 playthrough, Joe! I just found yours recently and hope you'll continue through the end of the game!
1:50 fair warning if anyone reads this I watched old boy with a friend after she recomended it to me in my living room with my family let me tell you was that a bad idea. Maybe just watch it without your parents around. Incredible movie tho it made me deeply uncomfortable.

Found your videos on a day I really needed it just before Christmas and I’ve been watching on my console but I wish I’d subscribed on my main account before now, I think you’d do really well doing live playthroughs (maybe for a Durge run👀) too if you ever feel confident enough for it, I’ll be there cheering you on 😁
Thank you for making these and I hope you have an easy and successful year at uni 😁
I love Disco Elysium and Rdr2 too. 😊 The stories are so great. Also Dragon Age series, origins in particular, I love it. 💜
Aww, Walking Dead 💜
Good morning from Finland!
No joke you are an inspiration!
If you like Japanese media, I have a couple of recommendations:
* Zatoichi (2003 movie) - a blind samurai helps two geisha siblings avenge their parents' murder
* Cowboy Bebop - the classic sci-fi anime, kinda cyberpunk Firefly (small spaceship with a quirky "found family" crew), and a wonderful jazz soundtrack
Keep up the good work and get well soon!
P.S. Dark Urge might not be the best option for Honour Mode - it isn't any more difficult than any other character, but there's extra story content and plot twists that you might miss if you're focused on not getting wiped out in combat!
22:13 oh that would be great! Please do it when you get the time 👌
24:38 Baldur's Gate 3 is not a game to rushed if it is to be enjoyed.
"By the time I've caught up to the Song of Ice and Fire books hopefully ole Georgie boy will have finished writing them."
Oh you sweet summer child...🙃Definitely a good read though.

I’m from England as well, tho different side, 23, queer and an audio editor, or trying to be anyway lmao, it’s still slow going but every small job helps build up the portfolio at least. I’m really glad you’ve been able to move out of that space, and I really hope this channel can help you grow your community!
I know the q&a’s over but I was wondering what programs etc you use for your editing? So many jobs ask for understanding of audio/visual editing beyond just audio so I’m looking to get more into video editing as well :) I use protools
Thanks sm again for sharing! It’s so cool to learn more about the person behind the videos!

Trust me. Toss it.
also excited to see u play final fantasy on the channel i especially love ff8 since it was my first game back then

Let me just say, I appreciate finding someone into gaming with the sincerity you have, like I went back and started watching your Silent Hill 2 playthrough and I'm on part 10 right now and the compassion you have for characters is rare, and it's so refreshing to watch.
