I stand by the SNES games but I agree. The changes were made because they cared, better or worse. The originals were trying to be atmospheric and wow you with the graphics, but they can't do the same thing twice so they opted for a more cartoony approach that transitions into Returns rather smoothly
i get why they brightened the graphics but it still upsets me, would have appreciated a TV mode for gamecube GBA player that was much closer to the original graphics
What I wish is they would remaster these games with the new additions the GBA games brought. Given they're enhanced ports with more content, it'd be fantastic. Heck I wish they'd do that wtih all the SNES games ported to GBA.
I wonder if Nintendo would have changed the GBA’s hardware had they anticipated how many SNES games they were going to port to the thing. The backlight-proofed colors, the screen crunch, and the sound are such consistent and considerable compromises across almost all GBA ports.
There’s a charm the the GBA ports, even is nobody seems to see it.
The convenience of portability was absolutely worth the lowered audio and graphical fidelity.

I really like all the added stuff, but the graphics and the changed ost really icks me. I wonder if there's a hackrom for that.
@@juliocesaralvesfernandes8158 For the first game there is a mod with the colors reverted back to normal SNES style.
You kidding? I grew up with the GBA ports, I definitely find them more appealing than the SNES versions.
I like how the first 5 minutes is DK essentially saying, "Diddy f8cked up, he don't get a second chance..." as he ignores every DK barrel. XD
also, the mini game music didn't have to go THIS hard! Rare cooking up some REAL music on the GBA. They took notes!
Idk if Diddy gets it any better after he’s picked up, at least till they’re out of the water level lol
5:17 diddy backshots😭🙏

I didnt have this game for gba but i know i would have loved to have this in school lol
Just to note, the game opened up with a cutscene that was written in the manual of the Snes version of the game! That's such a good nod!
I've never even seen this game! SNES was epic. This is adorable.
Rope Bridge Rumble, Oil Drum Alley, and Elevator Antics were the bane of young me.

Aren't you the guy who trash talked DKC2 Unveiled? I recognize that pfp.
🐐
I like how in the GBA ports they had to make sure literally everything made some kind of sound
I didn't even know that there was.a warp in Mine Cart Carnage

How to 2025?
How do you survive 2025, really?
Time will tell
Original SNES is much Better!!!
This is a portable SNES game.
It Really is!
