Hello Black Mountain Honey! We love both Bohemia Bees and BMH. Bohemia Bees we are using your method for honey comb in a jar this season! Seems so simple.
I've also seen complete #fails also, so we didn't have high hopes, but our bees got it done. I think you really need a strong colony and a good nectar flow.
Hello, I am a person who raises honeybees in Korea. Thankfully, I enjoyed the video. I have a few questions, so I'm asking. You made the honey jar thick with wax, so how thick should I apply No.1? No.2 Is it possible regardless of whether you push or not? No. 3 If you put honey in a honeycomb bottle, doesn't the honeycomb get soft? I appreciated the video.
The wax on the bottom isn’t necessary. We thought we needed to put wax for the bees to attach comb to but they attached it without using it. So we won’t use it again this season. I’m sure that the comb once flooded with honey will become slightly softer so that’s up to you if you fill after or just leave unfilled. We are doing both this year.
It’s not my invention. I saw it in a Costco a few years back. Someone was already packaging the concept up and selling it. I just made my own and modified it a bit.
Very cool, I'm going to give this a try. Do you think the process could be sped up by hanging a couple of strips of wax foundation in the jars to start them off?
Great Video! Thank you for that ! I would like to know if it’s posible to get Full jars of honey without adding extra honey ? What is Happening when you smash the combs inside the glass? Will it Fill it ?
No. The combs built and filled by the bees isn’t enough to fill the jar by vol. it likely only amounts to about 1/2 the jar with wax and honey. I fill them because it’s similar to how comb in honey is sold but instead of me putting a chunk of comb in the jar, the bees made it.
@@BohemiaBees so basicly i could take 2-3 mason jars and make one Full mason Jar , Right ? I like the idea of beekeeping but i don’t want to buy extra honey or get it the old school way with Opening the hive...
Not really because there isn’t much stored honey in the jar. If crushed maybe 1/4 of the jar. So we fill them to give our customers more of the same honey just from an extracted frame. We tried to offer a few I filled and our customers bought the filled ones first.
My wife wanted this and I bombed out. They would not go into the jars. I see several differences, need to add more wax and put the jars on the top cover. However, do the jars cause the top cover to sag?

Great to see that the idea actually worked. I've seen this concept for years, but the videos didn't show the finished product.
Beautiful comb and a great way to add a little attention to the product.
May I ask what the weight is on the product? Also, what have you been selling these for? Thanks.
Thanks. I don’t recall because they sold so fast we never had chance to weigh them. We sell them for $20 jar.
@@BohemiaBees Thanks. I just found your channel tonight and am subscribing. Where are you located? I'm in southeastern Pa.
@@beebob1279 we are located in Warwick MD
@@beebob1279 thanks for the sub
@@BohemiaBees that is incredible way to increase profits while decreasing effort. Since you are selling it as a novelty product instead of weighed amount no need for weight . Thanks for the incredible video

We breed our own from several preferential behaviors and demeanors.
Genius!
