I’ve been playing DayZ for 5 years now and I’m pretty sure they’ve added 1 or multiple weapons every update. They haven’t announced one for 1.26 but doesn’t mean there isn’t one. I see people making a big fuss about the infected meat but imo wolf meat is trash for nutrition and bear meat is kinda rare. People are forgetting that there are heaps of non predator animals to hunt. I hope we see some improvements to the base building in the future.

I love the changes. Personally I want backpacks to be in smaller in carry capacity. The only change I dislike is the wooden hooks. To easy to get food now.
I will explain the long and short of it to you. Changing the slots on clothes is meant to increase the survival aspect of the game, so players are more immersed in the life of their character and not how much loot they want to hoard. This is also to encourage more vanilla base building on official servers) Its also meant to be a deterrent for people who use alt characters (specifically the console duper community) from stashing and hoarding loot on different accounts. Smaller bag slots, smaller clothes slots = you cant store 8 vsds and log out. That not only makes the loot economy of the official servers janky (because certain items are intended to spawn a certain amount of times, whether they are in the wild, on a player or in a player stash) once you log out with the only 2 M79 that spawn on the server, switch servers and come back, they will be redistributed on the map despite you just taking two off the server and the server only spawning 2 on it at once. Now you can log back on after finding two more and have four grenade launchers. All of this is breaking the game.
Fair I personally don't think alt guys are that annoying dupers are twats lol in all I just find making clothes way less is a not good way of fixing the problems but all I can do is view my concern time will tell how it well it works

But it will make people have to go out looking for items and increase the player interactions. So if you like pvp it will be good and if you enjoy the pve aspect of the game, you will have to be more on guard now. It balances a lot of things.
So their way of dealing with the lack of loot on official, Is to 1. Make smaller maps, and 2. Limit the amount of loot that can be carried by players. GENIUS. Both of these decisions can't be simply changed by community server owners, unless you don't update to the latest version of the game.
I agree with there being a lot of other fixes that could be brought to this game. They just made pve harder and less slots etc. How about making the game fun, fixing bugs and exploits, adding a , un or 2, adding building options etc.
On the topic of weapons, i feel like you forget this is a survival game? not a shooter or a PVP game. Guns are not, and have never been the focus of this game's updates...Besides, they have been adding weapons almost every update, just because they aren't guns you particularly like doesn't mean they aren't there. All the changes coming to 1.26 are survival focused. finally after a year and a half of PVP updates we're finally getting a survival focused update, these changes are what will force people to make better decisions in-game, not adding more high-tier weaponry, we have enough of that as it stands. This game needs more incentive on teamwork, right now this game promotes one man army playstyles which is why there's so much PVP and KOS. if you make the individual weaker, it gives people more reason to work together to accomplish their goals rather than just killing everyone. Yes DayZ needs PVP, but that's all it's become now, and that's not the reason the game was made. personally any change that makes this game more difficult is welcome in my eyes.

They gave us the RPK 45 round bakelite mag but not the gun? Where's svt's? Where's the Soviet armor from the 2000s? Why have the m249 saw in the files in game but it doesn't fire and they won't add it lol come on I can go on forever. Guns are a HUGE part of the apocalypse and gun battles will be quite frequent. If you want to play a "survival" game, why did you pick a survival ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE game? Anyways, I got some dupers to take care of on official, have a good one.

We don't need a new weapon each patch. There are plenty now. With reduced inventory I can't carry that many anyway. More guns, more ammo types, more mags, more attachments, more searching around trying to combine what you need to make your weapon work. If you want to reduce inventory slots so much don't make temperature such a factor. You can't carry a second set of clothes depending on environment. Clothing still takes up a lot of space to carry. Looking for puddles or wringing clothes is not how I want to spend my time in Dayz. I guess everyone should buy the best headset they can afford and start listening for sighing and shivering. I think people are just excited with the new map and boats. They don't see the long term problems some of these changes will have on the playability of other maps and Dayz in general.
I've watched pc for years and it looks great but im a console guy so I'm gonna keep fighting for more support for console so everyone can experience a mod like style think there's room for a little bit of everything 😁
Sounds like u would love the heavily modded pc servers, maybe play some pc dayz along side console to try it out. as for the changes it shouldn't really change much for me, only really play 1pp no base, hardcore servers. Spawn, run around, loot, shoot, survive, die, start it all again for me that's what makes dayz fun, especially starting again weirdly once I get all geared up I get a bit bored. Try watching some smoke videos a good example of looking a different way at the game from how u see it maybe?
Turns out i wasnt entirely wrong i did some looking into it as I wanted to fix my error hijab is in this update but it can be used as a scarf to which is cool idk why i said hoodie I'm just dumb sometimes lol
Yeah theirs a bunch of awesome clothes that makes your character stand out but everyone goes for military clothes and look the same cause of inventory space its sad... Also yeah adding guns isn't rocket science and we need more
They nerfed slots in military jackets so civilian clothing is on a par now. They could have just increased some civilian clothing slots to make them more desirable options but I guess survival = less slots = more fun, is their mindset now. They forgot the 'fun' part.
1.26 is awesome. community servers are fun but the more survival mechanics they add the better. it’s a survival game after all, it’s not made to be played with everyone having m4’s and plate carriers.
Haha no it's on all platforms I believe I had mag already filled with Ammo and held reload button which auto filled it If u don't have Ammo just full mag sometimes u gotta click mag to un attach and reload by clicking new mag but this is just a bug I run in to hope this helps
Just watched the point u sent in that situation u put mag in hand hold Y on ps what ever button y translates to for xbox and have ammo for that mag in non boxed form
Sometimes feel like the gaming community flips a lid if every patch isn’t exactly what they personally want. A lot of people wanted this inv change. Just wait until next patch . Sure there will be a few things you like that maybe I wouldn’t. Can’t anyone be happy that other people enjoy a new feature ? Sometimes I feel like they want to drum up outrage . I think a large part of your frustrations come from the servers you play. At the start of the vid, all of your favs are like 50x, 69x, 92x loot servers. That can make the game get boring very quickly. That being said, they really need to add something for you console guys (hopefully Frostline will help a bit), it seems like all you guys have is RNG, so yeah mega loot is needed. I run PC servers and actually reduce the loot sometimes (especially food, and high tier weapons) to make the game harder, and also have a server that doesn't allow bases. The reduced weight allowance will make it even harder which I think most players prefer that actually play the survivor aspect of the game. A part of me wants to setup a console server the same as i would PC and see how many people yell at me. lol
I mostly run community cuss I help with running servers or for getting gameplay of new guns for youtube but I'm getting into official again for youtube I actually got a series live atm but yah like idk feels dry on console we desperately need the modded pc style servers
It's shocking to me just how much Bohemia Interactive are alienating the casual players by their constant pointless gameplay changes. It comes to a stage in a game's life where it would be better to leave the basic foundations of DayZ the way it has been working for years, and instead focus BI's efforts on making a new survival game or a DayZ2. Because 1.26 changes feel like terrible choices for a game that has been growing in recent years. I blame content creators for their biased opinions. You may as well just make Day Z into a COD or Fortnite at this time.
Na I feel you the devs been doing a lot of stupid things lately, adding unnecessary things like music and broken updates, the dupers had the time of their lives this update with their watchtower glitch and unlimited duping, that’s the .1 thing they need to focus on stopping this exploits
i have been playing dayz for many years and it has come along way, but i will say the dayz Devs are a complete joke, and i can see them sitting on their computers with their cheeto dust fingers trying to figure out what kind of dumb "upgrades" they will make to the game. For example.. they updated all the sounds to the guns, environment, and mechanics like throwing items, but didnt fix any bugs. They fail to actually fix problems with the game like bullet collision with trees, players clipping through walls, and many more...they added weapons, added clothing, they even added a worthless snare trap on one update...fix the game devs,
Yeah...I agree with your points...however...I am all about realism. So the clothing changes don't bother me as much as the fact that cars still aren't fixed...bikes aren't added, and basebuilding sucks. On points about plate carriers and pistols...I would actually prefer it if a plate carrier can tank what feels like infinite pistol shots. However...nobody should be able to take a pistol shot to the face. I don't care if you have a helmet on...if I shoot the part that is skin...and that skin is attached to your head...you should be going down. Sure...for balance reasons...it could just be a lot of shock damage and it can require you to put a follow up shot in the head for death...but the player should be uncon for a minute at least from any short of lower headshot

Reduce space🤦have hard time carrying a deer as it is. They're a destroying game and so many new players are going to rage quit even more. Back to basic and fix what they have. For something new bring back some old stuff like leather clothing and ability to dye them. Or chicken soup for sickness , charcoal from fire pit, craft leather kits something better than a stupid wolf hat.
I like how they reduce inventory but wolf headdress takes up 12 slots. Crafting various items seems more survival oriented than just reducing slots and making temperature an op factor.
As a player that plays on no base servers. These updates just make the game more challenging which is fun. This is a survival game, I do understand how this update effects people with bases. Especially hording loot, but look at it as more of a challenge. They dont want this game to be easy. It's not supposed to be. They also try to be as fair as possible for camera angles as well because third person is a huge advantage along with it being very unrealistic. My rare opinion is that this game never should have been third person but it was originally a mod with third person so its not a huge deal. I do agree with the gun additions, they should at least add something with the 5.7x28mm or just a new gun like you're saying. At least add more ammo variation like the 9x39 has for armor piercing.

They said at the beginning of the year they’ll be adding an “exotic long range” weapon or something like that. There’s nothing “exotic” about the sv98 so Sakhal may be getting a Gauss rifle.

I think the solution for cheaters is to go after the exploits they use to cheat not alter the entire game because of a few people.

We don't need a new weapon each patch. There are plenty now. With reduced inventory I can't carry that many anyway. More guns, more ammo types, more mags, more attachments, more searching around trying to combine what you need to make your weapon work.
If you want to reduce inventory slots so much don't make temperature such a factor. You can't carry a second set of clothes depending on environment. Clothing still takes up a lot of space to carry. Looking for puddles or wringing clothes is not how I want to spend my time in Dayz. I guess everyone should buy the best headset they can afford and start listening for sighing and shivering.
I think people are just excited with the new map and boats. They don't see the long term problems some of these changes will have on the playability of other maps and Dayz in general.

Sounds like u would love the heavily modded pc servers, maybe play some pc dayz along side console to try it out. as for the changes it shouldn't really change much for me, only really play 1pp no base, hardcore servers. Spawn, run around, loot, shoot, survive, die, start it all again for me that's what makes dayz fun, especially starting again weirdly once I get all geared up I get a bit bored. Try watching some smoke videos a good example of looking a different way at the game from how u see it maybe?

Yeah theirs a bunch of awesome clothes that makes your character stand out but everyone goes for military clothes and look the same cause of inventory space its sad... Also yeah adding guns isn't rocket science and we need more

They nerfed slots in military jackets so civilian clothing is on a par now. They could have just increased some civilian clothing slots to make them more desirable options but I guess survival = less slots = more fun, is their mindset now. They forgot the 'fun' part.
1.26 is awesome. community servers are fun but the more survival mechanics they add the better. it’s a survival game after all, it’s not made to be played with everyone having m4’s and plate carriers.

Haha no it's on all platforms I believe I had mag already filled with Ammo and held reload button which auto filled it
If u don't have Ammo just full mag sometimes u gotta click mag to un attach and reload by clicking new mag but this is just a bug I run in to hope this helps
Just watched the point u sent in that situation u put mag in hand hold Y on ps what ever button y translates to for xbox and have ammo for that mag in non boxed form

Sometimes feel like the gaming community flips a lid if every patch isn’t exactly what they personally want. A lot of people wanted this inv change. Just wait until next patch . Sure there will be a few things you like that maybe I wouldn’t. Can’t anyone be happy that other people enjoy a new feature ? Sometimes I feel like they want to drum up outrage . ( don’t think you are , just a general thought about gaming communities )

I think a large part of your frustrations come from the servers you play. At the start of the vid, all of your favs are like 50x, 69x, 92x loot servers. That can make the game get boring very quickly. That being said, they really need to add something for you console guys (hopefully Frostline will help a bit), it seems like all you guys have is RNG, so yeah mega loot is needed. I run PC servers and actually reduce the loot sometimes (especially food, and high tier weapons) to make the game harder, and also have a server that doesn't allow bases. The reduced weight allowance will make it even harder which I think most players prefer that actually play the survivor aspect of the game. A part of me wants to setup a console server the same as i would PC and see how many people yell at me. lol
I mostly run community cuss I help with running servers or for getting gameplay of new guns for youtube but I'm getting into official again for youtube I actually got a series live atm but yah like idk feels dry on console we desperately need the modded pc style servers

It's shocking to me just how much Bohemia Interactive are alienating the casual players by their constant pointless gameplay changes. It comes to a stage in a game's life where it would be better to leave the basic foundations of DayZ the way it has been working for years, and instead focus BI's efforts on making a new survival game or a DayZ2. Because 1.26 changes feel like terrible choices for a game that has been growing in recent years. I blame content creators for their biased opinions. You may as well just make Day Z into a COD or Fortnite at this time.
Na I feel you the devs been doing a lot of stupid things lately, adding unnecessary things like music and broken updates, the dupers had the time of their lives this update with their watchtower glitch and unlimited duping, that’s the .1 thing they need to focus on stopping this exploits

i have been playing dayz for many years and it has come along way, but i will say the dayz Devs are a complete joke, and i can see them sitting on their computers with their cheeto dust fingers trying to figure out what kind of dumb "upgrades" they will make to the game. For example.. they updated all the sounds to the guns, environment, and mechanics like throwing items, but didnt fix any bugs. They fail to actually fix problems with the game like bullet collision with trees, players clipping through walls, and many more...they added weapons, added clothing, they even added a worthless snare trap on one update...fix the game devs,

Yeah...I agree with your points...however...I am all about realism. So the clothing changes don't bother me as much as the fact that cars still aren't fixed...bikes aren't added, and basebuilding sucks.
On points about plate carriers and pistols...I would actually prefer it if a plate carrier can tank what feels like infinite pistol shots. However...nobody should be able to take a pistol shot to the face. I don't care if you have a helmet on...if I shoot the part that is skin...and that skin is attached to your head...you should be going down. Sure...for balance reasons...it could just be a lot of shock damage and it can require you to put a follow up shot in the head for death...but the player should be uncon for a minute at least from any short of lower headshot

Reduce space🤦have hard time carrying a deer as it is. They're a destroying game and so many new players are going to rage quit even more. Back to basic and fix what they have. For something new bring back some old stuff like leather clothing and ability to dye them. Or chicken soup for sickness , charcoal from fire pit, craft leather kits something better than a stupid wolf hat.

I like how they reduce inventory but wolf headdress takes up 12 slots. Crafting various items seems more survival oriented than just reducing slots and making temperature an op factor.

I did for a while pretty solid game
As a player that plays on no base servers. These updates just make the game more challenging which is fun. This is a survival game, I do understand how this update effects people with bases. Especially hording loot, but look at it as more of a challenge. They dont want this game to be easy. It's not supposed to be. They also try to be as fair as possible for camera angles as well because third person is a huge advantage along with it being very unrealistic. My rare opinion is that this game never should have been third person but it was originally a mod with third person so its not a huge deal. I do agree with the gun additions, they should at least add something with the 5.7x28mm or just a new gun like you're saying. At least add more ammo variation like the 9x39 has for armor piercing.

@@blakeakaLS DayZ at its core is a hardcore survival game that has been too easy to survive in. The changes in 1.26 are for the better, hardcore survival should be difficult. And I’m glad there’s less gear slots so people can’t carry 3 assault rifles and a sniper. The new map will tear ya’ll custom server players apart 😂

@@blakeakaLS and I’m not sure why you’re assuming there will not be a new weapon/weapons in this new update. The devs haven’t even shown off everything this new update has to offer. They said at the beginning of the year they’ll be adding an “exotic long range” weapon or something like that. There’s nothing “exotic” about the sv98 so Sakhal may be getting a Gauss rifle.
