In answer to comments we received here, there are some new options available on the web site. You can now purchase the fence and stop to use on a StealthStop Miter Gauge. You can also purchase the miter gauge without a fence, if you want to use an Exact-90 fence that you already have. And we put the Drop Zone catch table on the same page so you don't have to navigate to the StealthStop Miter Sled page to order it. Thanks for the suggestions, folks.
Wow.. amazing price point for a Woodpeckers tool. Was expecting far more. Now if we could get Marc from the WOOD WHISPERER to do a review since he is the Miter Gauge Guru these days!
I absolutely love my Stealthstop miter gauge, but considering the current price point of this model (In-dexable miter gauge), I would have certainly chosen this one for myself.
Totally agree on both points. So much so, I just might end-up buying this one as well, mainly because the stop looks a lot more practical. Plus, there just might be a way to clamp down onto the sled, so this could be a total winner.
I posted this EXACT idea when you guys came out with the StealthStop Miter Gauge over a year ago, under the deep-dive video :) Looks like a total winner! Any ideas as to clamping down small parts on the sled using the top tracks? I’m thinking maybe some kind of Knuckle Clamp: lead screw in the first pivot point and in the front track, and the clamp foot needs to fit on the remainder of the fence-top. But that feels like overkill since all you really need is light, temporary pressure...
Very tempted to buy this just for the fence + flip stops, and adapt to fit my Festool CSC SYS 50's miter gauge. The WP miter bar might even be machinable to fit Festool's non-standard slot. Could the WP team answer an extrusion question? On the backside (which connects to the red head) what's the distance from the table surface to the center of the slot? Trying to guess if I'll need an adapter plate for the Festool head or it'll magically line up.
@@WoodpeckersLLC Ah so close. The SYS 50's miter fence extrusion is 27.0mm from center to table, so it'll need an adapter plate to mount this WP fence extrusion. I should double-check the super/combo tracks for possible fits here and on the rip fence. If WP is developing any accessories for the SYS 50 I'd be happy to help.
Update: I ordered the miter gauge + auxiliary rip fence for use on the Festool CSC SYS 50. Really juicing the potential of a small saw for apartment woodworking. Planning to machine a new miter bar to attach to the head + shim the angle for however close to center I can tap the bar.
I was very excited about this new indexable miter gauge. I bought one to use with my 1980 Unisaw and it just will NOT work with this saw. It has to do with the distance between the blade and the left side miter slot. The ONLY way to use it at all is to discard the sacrificial fence altogether and you would still have to saw off the fence rail to clear the blade. I even thought I'd try flipping the fence rail around and using it on my right miter slot. This wouldn't work either, as the fence rail does not have the same slots on the front and rear. If you have an older Unisaw, there is no point in considering this well made, excellent item. It just won't work as far as I can tell. Maybe someone else has found solution and proves me wrong, but I'm just going to have to return mine.
It will not. The back fence for the AutoScale is a different dimension. Here's a Deep Dive we did on how to make sacrificial end blocks for the AutoScale.
@@WoodpeckersLLC I see. Would you guys consider selling sacrificial end blocks for the Autoscale? I know it isn't too difficult, but I'm often very strained for time.
I have a question about the ruler on the top of the gauge. Does the ruler start at 0 or is it backed off a little bit for blade clearance? It looks like the ruler is already etched into the aluminum.
The calibration procedure is the first page of the owner's manual. Regardless of the space between your miter slot and blade, you can adjust the back fence so the scale is accurate. When set, it clears the blade by 1/8" or so. Plenty of clearance for SawStop.
It would fit, but the Exact-90 fence is really big for the in-DEXABLE miter gauge head. Part of the reason it works well on the E-90 is the fact that the head is fixed. The head is not available by itself, because the attachment of the head to the bar is very different between the in-DEXABLE and the Exact-90.
@@WoodpeckersLLC Thank you, I will consider the purchase, but need to understand the change in attachment of the head to the bar, you stated it is VERY different, what accommodations are necessary to connect them?
Sorry. What's available is the in-DEXABLE miter gauge head and bar together. Only thing you would be swapping would be the fence, which is a direct fit. It's the miter bar connection that is different. The fence connection is the same.
The price seems very reasonable considering its features and the USA manufacturing. New wheels are being introduced all the time. Thankfully Woodpeckers doesn’t sell just another hubcap made in China.

Looks like a very useful tool for my shop. I would love to order one, but there is no link in the description. Maybe Harbor Freight sells them.
Sorry about that. Link is getting fixed and here it is, too. www.woodpeck.com/in-dexable-miter-gauge.html
Does that new fence fit on the stealth stop miter gauge? I’d like to swap fences if so. Will you guys just sell the fence ?
Yes. It's just been added as a separate item.

This seems a little odd. What is the measurement from the inside edge of the miter gauge slot to the blade?
Can you use the E90 miter bar (25.5') on the indexable miter gauge?
No. The head attachment is different.
I don't hear mention of StealthStop compatibility. Guessing that means that it's not compatible?
That’s what I want to know. They should sell just the fence if it’s compatible obviously
It is compatible and has just been added as a separate item on the web page.

Does this stop fit the exact 90? This seems like a much better design.
