    I think people misunderstood half Steinbrenner's comment, to me it sounded like he was taking a shot at the other owners complaining more about the luxury tax because in reality that's money that's going to other teams whose owners are not committed to putting that money back into the team, I wouldn't want to be going over the luxury tax tresh hold continuously only for that money to be given to people like that Oakland A's owner

    Free agency is changing. Just look at how Scot Boras's clients faired in the offseason. More teams are signing their promising young players to long-term deals; thereby avoiding free agency. The champions of the future will be built on quality scouting and player development.

    The orioles used to have super cheap tickets. I went to two orioles Red Sox games and stayed overnight down there with my dad and grandfather on the first baseline and right field bleachers. All for cheaper than going to Red Sox game at that time. So going from 38 dollar, yes they were 38 dollars in 2010, for a first baseline to 89-128 now being a similar section isn’t bad. At Fenway those same seats are the same pricing right now for the same opponent. Keep in mind Red Sox are bottom feeders right now but a few years ago it was 150 easy for those seats. The Orioles saying they need to price tickets similar to trash big market teams to retain players to keep their stars as a smaller market team isn’t bad. I got friends in Baltimore and they aren’t happy about the price hikes and they are not well off but can still go see a few games a year. Keep in mind he has 4 kids and a wife. He can bring his whole family to two games a year still but actually see good games now. He’s not happy with the price hike but he understands it cuz now they are winning. People pay more for a better product and quality. That better quality means it can cost more to produce. I think everyone understands that.

    If the Astros make the postseason and upset the Yankees again especially if it’s in the ALCS (because with the way things are going right now it’ll be an upset for sure) it could be over for this team. Juan Soto was brought over to try and create an edge over the Astros and that’s worked out so far. With the Astros being out of a playoff spot partly because of their play against them (also the fact the Astros have been so bad) things have done well. They have to win the World Series. It’s a must otherwise the trade wasn’t worth it.

    I really think Soto is going to either the Yankees, Mets, or Cubs. Mets really want to reset, but if they are far away this year, they may still focus on rebuilding. The Yankees are in the toughest place money wise. The Cubs just don’t like to spend. I personally see the Cubs getting him because of their window lining up better than the Mets and being in better financial position than the Yankees.

      Soto is presently making 31 mil a year and is assumed to make twice that when he signs his contract next year. At that point it would push them to $90 million over the CBA… They would be paying almost $60 million above that. Only for CBA taxation. Which ball players should they cut in order to keep Juan Soto again?

    Reason why Yankees haven’t made it since 2009 is because Brian Cashman is terrible at his job.

    Classic sinking Sox fan grasping at straws😂😂 his financial comments really don’t mean anything and of course Soto is gonna say what he said… he’s not gonna now negotiate with the team because of some bogus report comes out saying he’s open to it. It’s called NY media, choose to be better.

    Dumbest statement ever the Yankees can't brag about all 27 championships. Uhh Yes they can they were a baseball team when they won weren't they. Take this L you should say I'm stupid for making this video a video

    you know what.
    you ranted what every Yankee fan always has to hear from the typical hater.
    "oh you've won the most championships ever? big deal, when was the last one you won huhhhhh?"
    "it was in a legacy where baseball isnt even baseball" *blah blah blah
    "just a money team" *blah blah blah
    I am aware how much energy you put into jabbing at the NYY Franchise (i mean even in topics completely irrelevant to the NYY you tend to throw them in there with the obscure outlier events just to jab)
    but ignorant statements such as that put forth at 1:07 "we cannot even brag about our Championship win count?" lmfao while you GTFO here

      @@Chess-Panda telling fans of the greatest baseball franchise to not brag about their championships is ignorant. Haters are just jealous that’s Yankees are doing great.

    • @Chess-Panda
      @Chess-Panda 29 дней назад

      @@Cwe-35 The ignorance is the Yankees fans. You think you're entitled to win the WS every season. You have so many championships because the financial playing field is unfair. If every team shared the revenues and each team got the same, like the NFL, NYY wouldn't be "the greatest" franchise. They would be the same as every other team.
