He's said things like- "Pedro Martinez isn't an Ace and should never be on an All-Star team", "Derek Jeter is the greatest shortstop in MLB history", "Roger Clemens is the type of person I'd never want on my ball club"... until Clemens became a Yankee. His signature homer call, which goes something like "It is far! It is blah! ... SEE YA!" is maybe the worst in MLB history..

Don is awesome with Mark Grant calling Padres games. They are hilarious and it's a fun broadcast with a great vibe. I really miss Jerry Remy, I loved him and I'm no Red Sox fan but he was a special person whose kind demeanor really came out in his announcing. Eck was also great I miss him too.

Couldn't have been that the team sucked or anything, but those 2 were an absolute pleasure to watch. I am a Red Sox fan though and hate the Yankees, but Michael is a fantastic announcer as well and have enjoyed listening to him throughout the years.
Don is awesome with Mark Grant calling Padres games. They are hilarious and it's a fun broadcast with a great vibe. I really miss Jerry Remy, I loved him and I'm no Red Sox fan but he was a special person whose kind demeanor really came out in his announcing. Eck was also great I miss him too.

As an orioles fan, we have the best booth in baseball, along with the mets. Kevin Brown, Jim Palmer, and Big Ben McDonald doing TV, Geoff Arnold and Brett Hollender on radio, hell Melenie Newman hasn't been bad when she does pregame/postgame.

George Steinbrener liked it so much he gave Michael Kay a job with the Yankees.
