I ran into him one game and the dude looked like he was tweaking. A fan called his name and he just yelled out something like I can right now I gotta go. Ended up watching his following RUclips video and apparently he was trying to calculate where to be for a specific Angels player first HR or something. I’m like catching a damn ball has you like this to the point you can’t enjoy the game anymore?

As someone who already had an unfavorable reputation this shows to me how big of an ego he has. I can understand having a passion for something, but to be the spoiled rich kid who is willing to ruin others experiences just to do what he does. I am glad that some stadiums banned him from their parks, even if they are minor ones. He will run over people who may get to go to one game a year just to catch a baseball for his views, and to boost his ego. He is just a disrespectful kid who never grew up. He may have done some good for baseball, but I am sure that he has ruin it for some people as well.

I’ve met Zack Hample before on the subway after a Mets Angels game and he is like “I caught 20 balls, bad night out there” he just sounded so annoying
I’ve seen him like 30 times at Yankee Stadium, I’ve never seen him trample anyone or take balls from kids. He’s actually very well received in person and lots of kids take photos with him, they even cheer when he catches a ball. There’s a lot of false narratives about him on the internet and truthfully I feel bad for the guy. He gives away most of the balls he catches anyway and I’ve seen him do it MANY times. People drag him for false perceptions and are making him lose the joy he has for doing this, I mean how much more hate can this guy take atp? I don’t blame him at all for doing what he did, the dude is sick of it.

Falsely copyright striking someone's video is just going to cause him more problems. That video was pretty tame compared to others I've seen, so I'm confused why he went after that one in the first place. I subscribed to him in spite of the negative videos. This video is pointless, and covers no real ground. People either like Zach Hample, or they don't. There isn't any in between. The man catches baseballs at MLB games for a living. He's passionate about it. Everyone thinks Hample is obligated to give all those balls away to others. Why? He's the one out there putting in the time and work. I think he gets a bad rap because he's different and people don't understand him.
Even though we are in a country which has freedom of speech, not all speech is protected regarding freedom of speech. So true.

I've watched his stuff. The way he can figure out trajectory and catch balls is quite impressive.
I think he's a bit sensitive as saying his name in a video or social media seems like an an excuse for people to dogpile on him. tbh I think the pressures of catching balls for YT content may be stressing the guy out, as it doesn't look like he's having fun out there. But overall, I think he's relatively harmless, except when he has those unforced errors like the copyright strike and the ball thing with the other guy.

I don’t like this guy . He is a ball hog and doesn’t care about anyone but himself. I was at the Braves games this week. There was a little boy who was trying so hard to get an autograph for the players. Sadly he didn’t get one autograph. His little face was covered with tears. So I gave him a ball with 6 autographs on it. Hopefully it made him feel better.

I live in NC and went to school with a kid named Zack hample. The whole video I'm like "is this him?" Then I saw Guilford college which is close to me and was like "nuh uhh" to the point I had to check my FB friends to find out it was infact a different person, same name, that went to college just 30 minutes from where we grew up.
I dont hate anyone but ive never liked when fans roam to get foul balls or homers. If its a kid im ok with it, but if you are an adult and try to run down the aisle my daughter and i are sitting in im hip checking you.

Honestly, if you actually watch his videos, he gives a ton of the balls he gets to kids. He comes off as kind of a weird dude but I don't think he's a bad guy.
Everyone is different and people get excited over things that other people don't. He just has a good time and it's nice to be able to do something you love. He isn't a bad guy at all.

Good points today. He gives off creepy vibes but whatever until he tries to shut other people up. He is also lucky because someday he will step in front of a fan's seat at an outfield wall thinking that he has the right to do so and that fan will knock him out.
He ruins and steals the experience of kids catching balls. He can hand it off afterward or donate $X to his preferred charities but it never replaces the experience. One of my favorite childhood memories is catching a foul ball off Buddy Bell, the only one I've ever caught in hundredish of games attended. Long story short, karma is inevitable and he will eventually regret it.

Going for foul balls and home runs are part of the game and for some fans, part of the experience of going to the game. The thing with Zack Hample is that he goes WAY too hard to get a ball and is way too aggressive. There are videos of him literally running across several sections just to catch a home run or running in front of people to catch a ball that a player tosses into the stands. Yes, catching a baseball at a game is exciting and most fans who go to a game hope to do so one day, but he needs to chill with the aggressiveness. He's not going to die if he doesn't get a baseball. It also doesn't help that he can come off as a little entitled at times/ Like he deserves to get a ball at every game he goes to just because he wants one so badly
