I love this product! I have had to stop thinking in terms of “amps” and “models” and more along the lines of tones. I was a complete amp snob. I really didn’t believe that going into a computer would be able to generate real amp results.
I was wrong!
I can’t speak highly enough about Polychrome DSP, Thomas and everyone that has helped to make this product stand out above the others!

One very important point to get a great sound on any computer plugin is to set the input gain correctly and this is rarely mentioned, I've seen lots of people who get awful tones just because their input gain is set too high or too low, most of the times is set too high so they never get correct clean tones, but this is something everyone need to try on their own interfaces as there are many variables with the combination of pickups and preamps on the interfaces

I've been using plugins even before they where cool (since 2012). This is probably the best and my favorite plugin ever and I've only had it for a day so far. endless fun. Fantastic product Thomas, happy for you.
I think of this as a tone or sound shaping / sculpting toolset, not modeling amps, IRs, effects, etc., but focusing on the sounds you want and sculpting them.
Simple, powerful, intuitive, sounds great!
Back in the day, one of my favorite rack preamps was my Tech21 PSA 1.1 - the process was similar, adjust the controls to shape the sound you want, use your ears. I approach creating sounds in PolyChrome DSP the same way, and it's amazing.

i have no idea how you guys did this ... but i never thought i would notice a difference between 0 and 2ms ... the feel of playing this plugin is hands down like a real amp and way different to any other plugin i ever tried. Straight up Incredible!

That noodling preset sounds amazing. Add a smidge of stereo chorus and a pinch of Valhalla shimmer reverb. Mmm. Now imagine you have huge hifi PA stereo speakers on either side of you. 😩👌

Now I’m 100% sure that I need fishman splits, this introduced whole new level to my plugins journey. Wasn’t sure for some time if I should sell my Boss GT 1000 but now it is crystal clear and obvious.

The thing with the input 2, happened to me but only on standalone. On my DAW it was fine. Once I turned off input 1 it worked fine in standalone.

Loving the suite. Playing around with the demo but will definitely purchase. How do I assign midi commands? Currently using a Midi Commander. It's supported but dont see a section where I can program presets - like Neural DSP.

Hey Thomas, lovely plugin you've got here. I'll be buying the full version as soon as I can which adds up to about 60% of my monthly salary after conversion (Ouch). I have somewhat of a suggestion though. Can you like tell us what each model is modelled after or inspired by? For example the heatpressor is modelled after X and the shredder is modelled after Y and the different post amp chains are a model of A,B, C cabs mic'ed by P, Q, R mics running into Z preamp? I think that would be a great addition. Thanks and congratulations on the great plugin.
Thanks you!! The reason we didn’t go down that route is because the amps, and Heatpressor etc are highly modified and geared towards what Thomas had in mind. For a lot of people the connection between our software and a real piece of hardware wouldn’t make sense as they’re so far apart, it would be very hard to make the connection, if at all. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Thomas,how are they hangin?I am predominantly a bass player but have a couple of lead guitars that I mess around on .I’m totally blown away by both the Polychrome DSP and your capabilities and knowledge of the revered fret board .I’m defo going to purchase it (after replacing my very old pc ) my lack of technical ability is second to none ,so,my question to you Thomas is,does it come with any instruction on set up etc .kind regards

I've been watching a few videos and definitely going to purchase this software. Only one question, can I use the plugin on several computers? I have a desktop computer and also a laptop, and I would like to use PolyChrome DSP on both of them. Is there any license limitation? Thank you.

I guessing that since you streaming live recorded, the latency is low enough that there's no audible delay between picking a note and hearing it on the PC speakers. Does adding effects add to the latency?
All the effects in this suite are zero latency.

I just installed the demo and it sounds amazing! I'm having a bit of a problem with the input levels. It keeps cutting off from time to time.
edit: I just realized that the cut-off might be because of the demo version, right? Kind of a let-down but I get it. I'm gonna save up and get the full version later so I can make a demo video :)

whats the buffer size to use to get that no lag on a mac studio using the demo demo that I just down loaded using Logic Pro ?
We use 128 samples and on an RME interface, or Thomas uses a Presonus Quantum 2626 and gets 6ms round trip.

I tried out the PolychromeDSP plugin in OBS and I came across 2 issues that I'm not sure what to do about. One is that there seems to be some latency (just a little) from when I pick a string and get sound. It's audible to me when I pick a string. I'm using a Mackie Onyx Producer 2x2 for the Guitar DI. The second issue is that I can't seem to figure out how to not have the PolycrhomeDSP monitoring bleed through to my voice microphone. How do you do that in this video?

Not in this way. In others you could run a hybrid setup.

Thanks! They’re in categories currently, but we plan to change the preset system to offer a lot of additional features, this will be use especially as we have sooooo many presets available. Thanks!
Is this a stand alone program? Do l have to have a DAW to run this program?

i don't understand how this with latency works, i downloaded the demo version, used ASIO4ALL set the samples to 64 Samples ( 0.4ms ) and i still get hearable latency. Does everyone just play with that latency or am i doing something wrong ?
I would love to buy the PolyChrome DSP but i am still better of with direct audio monitoring and my MXR pedal at the moment :(

Well, I had to "work" the whole day today just going through all the various presets and choose my preferential starting points and ...I ended up in choosing 36 different presets that will need now to be tweaked to fit my 11 songs that I've ready and then see how they'll work in their mix ...in a nutshel there's a lot of work and fun in the horizon ....I shouldn't have purchased this plugin ! .....come on ...I'm joking 🙂

@@polychromedsp The plugin. Surely you did not write it. Rebranding is a common thing. I mean the GUI is a facelift to make it look squishy.
Just wanna say moments of silence on demos in this day and age are pretty wack. Sounds great here but that alone is keeping a lot of people from trying your plugin, myself included.
