I know this is about your teeth, but I just love you in your natural hair. You just look younger and fresher. I'm not criticizing you for your dreads, I know you love them. And I understand your reasoning for having them. I just love you the way you look in this video. You are such a strong woman. I don't know that I would have endured all of this the way you have. ❤

This lovely lady is a survivor and blessed. I know everyone is sharing their thoughts on her hair. Please give it a second thought when it comes to her decision in how she wears her hair! I love your beautiful hair. It looks so much lighter and cooler than with the dreads. I understand why you like them though, it’s important to you to give your natural hair time to grow and heal. Healing, as you well know takes time. You do you, you have to do what helps you and makes your life easier. Your teeth are beautiful. Your lisp is getting less each time you post with them in. They are beautiful and so is your smile. God has you and is with you on your healing journey. Much love❤️

You new teeth are prosthetics. Just like a leg or arm they have to be fitted and you can't feel or use them like you would your own. A learning curve is in order but you look fabulous. You've come a long long way. I pray for your recovery, comfort and encouragement through the darker times continually.

Yep, key word, you can't feel them. Takes a long time to get used to them. My uncle had them and most broke off from not being able to feel and now he walks around with metal rods hanging out of his gums. He refuses to be re-fitted

@ImGinaMarie it is a positive note and extreme reality. Usually people want to know what to really expect instead of hearing what the drs say. You have to know where those teeth are at all times when biting and practice your bite.

When I quit dying my hair and people would comment on my *silver*, I always say, "It's my Crown of Glory!" and often add in, "I have my Father's hair!" Love you!!! Great update!

Love your cute braids! Looks so much cooler for summer, but don't know how hot it gets up there. Your dentist is a true artist because those are the best looking, most natural looking dentures ever!!!

Heather, I know my injuries are nowhere near the level of what you've gone through, but in my late teens to even early 30's, I was an avid walker. I loved it. Every day I would do anywhere from 4 to 6 miles. Then a lot of things happened, job losses, premenopause, and finally a bad fall where my ankle broke in 3 places, and I had to wait two weeks for surgery, and have permanent hardware. After that injury, I knew I'd never walk like I did, and I went through a period of mourning. A lot of crying, and I actually got help on the internet, that many people went through the same stuff. I also have hardware in my wrist from another fall, and compression fractures in my spine, so, I can't do nearly what my head says I want to do. You are an inspiration in how far you've come, and how strong you've been.
Oh I agree I think you look absolutely beautiful naturally even your grays look good on you. And you look so young and summer fresh!

There's no way, I could not watch your videos, you are such a an inspiration to so many people. I am a firm believer that God puts us in certain situations, so that we can testify about it later. There is someone who needs to hear what you have to say, so keep up the good work, 👍
I agree. We ALL have valleys in life and we ALL have a testimony when we weather storms. It doesn't matter how "grand" we think our own testimony is or isn't - we should share it regardless. They all matter and are important.

I will never forget the day the news arrived and you did the video of the accident. Right then, I began to lift you up and have not ceased praying for you and this community that God would use us in a powerful way and aide you in this journey of healing and restoration. This community demonstrates what God can do when we lift each other up in fellowship and prayer. I don’t know anyone personally or what specific needs are out there, but God does know us as individuals and he knows our needs. Let us all continue to pray for one another.

Super! Im glad you worked through it on the dentures,I had so many places sanded off to stop blisters and sores from my dentures..Once I got all the places eventually taken care of it was wonderful. Hallelujah ❤✝️ You look great 😊

I always loved your channel and felt and related with your struggles, pains, victories. I’m so SO happy for you!!! Proud, happy all of it! You’ve given so much hope to so many. I’ve had full dentures for many years but only have implants for my bottom dentures for a few years. It was an adjustment I admit, but the implants are so worth it. Good luck on your journey!
I agree! Not having to deal with the glue....... If I live to 80 that would be a lot of money spent! haha

Oh don’t tell her that! My dad had ordinary dentures and he loved eating corn on the cob and eating a fresh apple with his dentures he’d bite that apple just like I did with natural teeth. He’d bite off to the side not with front teeth like I did but it was a learning and determination that did it!

I use the efferdent tabs in my toilet as well. Simply drop a tab in toilet and let it do its magic

I had dentures. Bread grossed me out. Pasta grossed me out. Yes, plastic! It took months, but now it’s fine. Maybe 6 months. I get the choking fear. Even now, make sure you cut up meat well. That’s the only thing I still worry about. Love your teeth
Hi! I have been putting off having my jaw rebuilt and trying to get teeth since my seizure in 2013. I think God let me see your video today at this time. I am so sorry for your loss and I know recovery is such a long, painful journey. I am compelled to move forward now. God bless you.

Heather every time I watch your videos you bring joy to my heart ❤️ I love your braids and your teeth look so natural and beautiful. My mom had all her teeth pulled at 18 years old. I'm not sure why her teeth were so bad she had to have them pulled so young. I always remember her toothless in the morning as she soaked her teeth in polident . Before she died of cancer she had paid 40,000 for upper and lower implants but never was completed. You taught me so much about the whole process and am so thankful you are adjusting to them so well. Your enunciation is doing great. I'm glad you stuck with it and got them to feel comfortable. A friend of mine gave up after a week even though I told her it takes time to get used to them and to get them to fight right. My dentures were a bit easier to get used to as I didn't get both the top and bottom at the same time, but it did still take a while. I did find the bottom set took longer for me to get used to than it did when I had just the top set. I had to get the top set done about 5 years before the bottom due to some broken teeth.

I want our babies to grow up knowing him just as if he were here with us, but on an extended business trip. ❤️🩹 Just like I talk about their grandma, my mom. Natural. Consistent. It is life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you! I am needing to decide which type of replacement teeth I will choose. And there are SO many! I value your insights, pretty lady--just share away--I am hanging on every word🤗
There are sooo many options!!!! And for the really complicated cases, I know you have to see a prosthodontis for..... and some implants start around 50 grand and up! I just could not afford that. But, I also could not afford to replace dentures every 5-7 years being only 50 years old. If I live until I am 80, it would cost me a small fortune. So, I went the most economical route, with what would get me healed and so I could move on. Being stuck in the healing and the courts, it keeps me in the pain. Emotionally. It's so hard. I wish you all the best and keep me posted on your journey!

Hi heather, your smile was beautiful before, but now you radiate even more. My birthday is 5th may and i was 74 years old the first birthday without my dear husband being with me. Its very hard as i miss him so much and im looking forward to seeing him in heaven. God bless you and your family xxxxx

I've been going through this process for about 18 months now...had a couple implants fail that had to be redone...have had my upper teeth for about a year and just now in the process of getting the bottom teeth tweaked...everything you've said about your experience i agree with and had the same feelings...thank you again for sharing so that others heading into this can know what the expectations should be
