Does your brush look too small? It's a pixel art brush, so it's 1 pixel! Make your canvas smaller. Try with anything from 50x50 px to 200x200 px if you're a newbie. To learn how to export your pixel art, check my new video: ruclips.net/video/ktjiYjwHp5k/видео.html
Oh my god, finally!! I followed another tutorial just now and it turned out terrible, but this is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much, you were a livesaver just now!
TYSM! I followed other tutorials and they never worked, and I didn't wanna buy or sign in with an account to get a pixel brush, sure using pixel art apps would be my best option, but I like procreate, so now I dont have to switch apps to do pixel art. And yes, it worked :D
Oh my goodness, thankyou so much! I have been wanting to get into pixel art for so long, but I struggle a lot with working on a computer and didn't think there was any way to do it on the tablet, until I saw tutorials on how to do it on procreate! The other tutorials that I have watched were confusing me but this one was very straight forward and the instructions were clear, this was amazing!
OMG YOU REALLY ARE AMAZING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TUTORIAL!! I'VE BEEN WANTED TO HAVE PIXEL BRUSH BUT MOST OF THEM SHOULD BE PAID. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. LOVE YOUUU
I watched other videos and was going to go ahead and create my own brush following them, then I discovered your video and I'm so glad I watched yours it's much simpler! thank you!
@@blacknoisyblue Yes!! Any tips on how to get the 'pixel perfect' smooth curve on Procreate? It's frustrating me because I am sketching an isometric room now and even to make nice isometric lines I have to do them manually which takes a lot of time *cries
If I draw too quickly with this pen, some pixels lose their opacity. I’ve double checked to see that I matched all your settings and was wondering if you encounter this issue as well?
maybe a Bit late, but i had the Same Problem and i got back to the pencil options and i turned acidently the 2. opacity on (this one under the 90 degrees angle) and i turned it off again, After That the issue was gone 🤝
This causes an errant grey pixel for aliasing. I imagine that this is because of how Procreate works and it being technically impossible to add a hard shape, because it still aliases everything... You can use the Hexagon shape in the library to fix that issue (but it can be a little challenging to draw straight lines and it gives certain curves a pixel of extra width).
I have another review on my channel of Pixaki, an app made for pixel art, that's really good. Combined with Procreate, I don't really need anything else.
Thank you so much. I followed your exact instructions but it seems like the pixel draws on the lines of the grid rather than the actual small boxes of the grid. How do i fix this issue?
Thank you very much for a great tutorial! I have one more trick. If you still need a large brush, e.g. for quick sketching and filling large color planes while working on larger sprites, in the Properties/Brush Behavior tab set Maximum size to 10 or 20 percent and Minimum size to 0 percent. Then you can toggle the brush size, just like in Photoshop/Aseprite. The edges are still sharp, there are occasional transparent pixels on the periphery, but that's a small price to pay for the speed of sketching, which then needs to be fixed when rendering with a small brush anyway. :)
i sifted through the video and comments to see if the issue im having has been mentioned, but i dont think it has? my canvas is set to 100px X 100px the brush is set the same as the video. drawing guide all same, but when i put lines down it isnt completely filling the individual pixel squares on the canvas. theres gaps on the sides and if i draw on the grid line it fills in the middle of 2 pixel squares (hopefully that makes sense) just want to see if this is normal or if the indivudal pixel squares should be filling in completely?
I’m running into this issue where my brush doesn’t stay consistent. I have the settings exactly like in the video but it’s not keeping the same size, it keeps going back and forth between a bigger size and the normal size I’m trying to get.
This was really good info I didn’t even know that I could do this on procreate! :D pixels ARE DO MUCH EASIER to work with than from my regular art 😳💖❗️ thank you so much for sharing this!! 😌💜💫
Thank you for your video.I want to learn how to draw pixel art on bigger canvas. When I draw on 360x360(which I need),pixely vibes are gone and doesnt even attach to drawing guide. Please help me solve this problem Thank you:)
My brush seem to use pressure sensetivity or something ? because some squares i paint get black but some gray and some lighter gray what have i missed? How do I fix this so it only does one color.
I have a question! Once I'm done with the piece, if I try to export it as a PNG or JPEG, the image is extremely blurry (due to it being a small canvas). Is there any way to scale it up/export it in a different way so that the pixels come out crisp and clean?
So to cover more ground and stuff on say like filling in spaces and such do you just make the pixel size like bigger? It’s something I’ve always been a bit curious about. I could be just dumb too so lol. Just a question because I do want to experiment when creating a pixel brush.

It would be cool to have bigger pixels (just big or small squares) this one it’s just min size, good tut it’s very useful 😀
If you make the canvas bigger you can achieve that, or like I said, you can create a new brush with a higher min size :)
