I have used chebe for about four months.i haven’t seen a lot of growth, but my hair is softer, much more moisturized and I have much less breakage. My hair is incredibly dry due to thyroid disease, so chebe really helps.
Yes Chebe isn’t for growth, it’s all for moisture retention and breakage. Everyone’s is different but my hair does grow at a good pace, adding a scalp massage routine should help speed things up.
Its NOT suppose to grow your hair. Anything you put ontop of your hair keeps your hair moisturized. Hair growth comes from what you put inside your body. Chebe powder works the same as using water as I do. By far fir months water feels more convenient for me and I haven't used any type of moisturizer. I only wash it when it needs it and a deep conditioner ever once in a while. What grows my hair is what I eat, healthy foods and taking a vitamins- a lot of vitamins for hair. I've had chemo and radiation treatments for a while. What helps me, works for me is not putting so much crap in my hair, grease, oils, moisturizers and I'm just simply using mother natures best remedy cold water. I'd like to try chebe but its sooo messy I heard and can take a lot of effort as to getting it out if your hair. I'm not obessed with hair and I have to many things I enjoy doing- hobbies, equine riding, etc. So I rely hate dealing too much in my hair esp that I keep it natural. So I ho simple, keep it in protective mode and leave it the hell alone, lol. I'll go three or four weeks if I can. Growing our hair I finally realized, works BETTER when your not doing ao much to it as well as harm. Certain styles, chemicals, flat ironing, the WORKS. I realize to with caucasian and other races that them wearing tight pony tails esp hair bones, I can see where they are losing their hair esp on the sides. No bueno. It's no different for them of course. Undue stress helps in haor growth esp since our hair unfortunately is the most fragile. Best to give it a break, ir it will keep breaking? XD Involuntary pun lol. Chebe is equivalent to water but it seems to work as you keeping it I your hair for long periods of time consistently. It's pretty much a natural moisturizer like your aloe vera, etc but remains in your hair. Just a moisturizer but I like water better currently.
I wish you did this in the beginning of quarantine😭😭I've been wearing braids under my scarf for months but now I'm going back to work😫 still doing it though❤❤
There's no chebe where I'm living and authority makes it difficult to purchase on line with the amount of taxes they charge us... So I use my shedding hair to make the powder and it's amazing! Necessity is the mother of invention... But is better to say " you inspire me girl"!😃 I don't use scarfs as you do because it's not necessary in my case, the powder is the same colour than my hair. One day, when I have time, I'll make the powder with other herbs available where I'm leaving.
@@carolenelson583 that wouldn’t really work out the way you want it to, braids are a style on their own, the chebe powder will be seen and probably flake all over. Unless you creat your own chebe oil or butter, I have a recipe on my RUclips.
Neki thank you for the video because I suffer with Graves disease and and I have experience a lot of hair loss but I am going to try chebe powder and see how it can work for me thank you again
I’m late to the party like really late so if you can pleeease respond. So do you refresh and add the chebe on for 8 weeks ? Or do you do the whole pre pop full wash leave in ect etc every week for 8 weeks ?
I think I'll try wrapping the ends in saran wrap. Last time I tried a chebe method (with ayurvedic herbs), I got a bad reaction on my neck when I left the braids to air dry. 😬
Yeah I understand that, it can be sensitive for most skin. I don't like it touching my neck so me keeping it pinned up is a good thing plus the chebe won't go everywhere.
What made you switch your routine ? Before you use to put the chebe on the hair then braid....isn’t putting the chebe on the braid just going to sit on the braid ? Doing this new routine gave you the same result ? Definitely want to try your method ❤️😍
I don't understand, how to some people that are low porosity have moisture issues. I'm low porosity and have been NATURAL my entire life , i only had moisture issue when I didn't use the right products or went to long without caring for my hair.
Best video I have seen. I will do this procedure. I was wondering what cream to use but your information helped. One question. Is the chebe mixed with water to apply?
So when you have your hair under wrap will the chebe powder get on the scalp? I guess this confuses me. How does one keep the cream off of the scalp completely. Or, is it just harmful when directly put onto the scalp
Underneath my scarf it doesn’t get on my scalp. To ensure you keep it away it all depends on how far you apply it up your hair strands-which is why you only see it on my braids mid way down. But yes when applied directly to the scalp it will clog your pores.
hello, i have a question ( sorry if you answered in this video and i missed it ) but what is your hair texture(s), since i know most people have more than one. most of the time it looks looser ( like in the 3s) especially when it’s wet. but other times it looks a bit tighter
Shoulder length is fine, your hair should be long enough to be in braids, if not then I wouldn’t use it the traditional way, I just posted my DIY Chebe oil for people with shorter hair you can use this check out the recipe !
U probs won’t answer but question I just put chebe in my hair for 3 days and need to take it out cause I’m going somewhere, doe it have to stay in for an amount of time for it to work, and do I have to be consistent
@@NekiCakes oh okay thank you, I’m just gonna put a head rap on, i and usually most youtubers don’t reply back after if the video was made a while ago. :)
Nice video. I've been thinking of going natural myself. I have thin hair which is hard to wet or hold moisture and breaks easily. I believe it may be 4C hair. How can I find out for sure why type of hair I have?
Thank you love, if you aren’t 100% natural it’s hard to say what hair type you have now as when you transition the hair texture/pattern changes. The best advice that has helped me is not worrying about if I have 3c3a4b4c etc hair. It’s important to know/understand what porosity/density/ hair strand width/scalp you have this will guide you on what products to use/stay away from. Google natural hair type test, there are a brunch of websites that promote these tests.

Try using cloves and water spray it does wonders..
Try amla oil or amla powder.
I have been using chebe for a year now, it really helps with retaining moisture🤗
Our hair is visually identical. Even how my hair looks braided but I’m low porosity so moisture is a struggle😩🤦🏽♀️

How is your hair so curly?
Can we use aloe vera juice as the liquid? What liquids would you recommend?
Yes I mentioned I use my aloe hair juice if I don’t use my rosemary juice.
I wanted to know what attention do you show to your scalp? Do you grease it? If so how often?
The Rosemary hair juice that’s pretty much it, I may oil it before doing the chebe but mostly it’s the rosemary hair juice.
Best video I have seen. I will do this procedure. I was wondering what cream to use but your information helped. One question. Is the chebe mixed with water to apply?
Thank you love ❤️ no I didn’t mix the chebe with water, I apply the straight dry powder to my hair.
Do you apply leave in conditioner after you wash out the deep conditioner and before you apply the cream mixture
no I did not, I didn't want to weigh down my hair with too much products

@@NekiCakes thank you 💜
Mixing your leave in with your oil, would it work for low porosity hair too? Because I think you've mentioned that you have high porosity hair
Mixing oils with your leave in doesn’t have anything against porosity low or high.
What if your hair is short how can you use it if it shouldn’t be on your scalp?
Shoulder length is fine, your hair should be long enough to be in braids, if not then I wouldn’t use it the traditional way, I just posted my DIY Chebe oil for people with shorter hair you can use this check out the recipe !

Why would I not answer ? 3 days isn’t much to see a change, consistency is key as Chebe works gold as a protective style. Minimum 4 weeks is best.
