I teared up a little at the end when Ethan was talking about not being able to sleep and worrying about losing everything. This show has honestly helped me through some hard times like it has for so many of us. it breaks my heart and infuriates me that RK can use the law and money to terrorise Ethan and Hila like this. Then the machine decides to broadcast the message or not. There’s a machine that listens to the code (the beeps have binary codes in them that say the area they came from) and the machine verifies the veracity of the message by comparing the 3 initial beeps for identical-ness. Then the machine decides to broadcast the message or not. The “integrity of the system” is not about weather people will come to believe it’s fake - or be desensitized to it - it’s about accidentally triggering the machines to create a mass notification. (The govt does that very well itself though… IE the 2018 Hawaii missile crisis.)
