Thanks for sharing your story, the waiting is so tough , on my 3/4 chemotherapy cycle spread to 3 lymph nodes . Definitely push your GP I had fatigue as pretty much the only symptom. Bowel screening got mine , 58 now glad they’ve lowered the screening age in Wales.
Thanks for sharing Carla. I am 42 and like you said we think and get told we are too young to get bowel cancer which is not the case. I went in to A&E 7 weeks ago with suspected appendicitis after a CT scan turn out I had a blockage in my bowel. I had emergency surgery 2 days later to remove part of my bowel and have a stoma created. Similar to you I waited about 3 weeks for my results to be told that the tumour was stage 3 cancer (pT3N1b M0). The surgeons where happy that all the tumour had been removed and my second CT scan showed no spread to other organs. I also had 14 lymph nodes removed 2 of which had cancer cells in them. I am now waiting for chemo treatment.

I’m feeling very discouraged by the medical system here in the United States. I had extreme bleeding as well as a consistent cramp in my left side that won’t go away. I’m completely exhausted, I have iron deficiency and my bowels oscillate between being constipated and then on the other side of things. On the other side of things, I’m going five or six times a day. Pencil thin stool. I really genuinely am worried that something is going on however, nobody will take me seriously because of my age and because I’m a woman woman I’m going to keep pushing to get help, but it’s really discouraging.😊
