- We managed to get our hands on the bike that won the Tour.
We also got a certain WVA bike too. So a double header for you to finish out Tour tech series. Спорт
He was on the R5 for most the stages 😏
Bradley Wiggins used Speedplay pedals to win the Tour de France in 2012.
R5 and P5 won the tour S5 is definitely what the team gets told to push in marketing
I think it was his legs and stamina who won this race :D I am sure he could have won on my bike aswell :)
Two years ago, they did it with Bianchi Oltre. So it was not about the bike. They can win with any bikes as long as they have a similar weight n racing geometry.
I agree
Not with my 16 kg gravel bike though lol
@@yukiko_5051lol! Anything between 6 to 8kg can win races these days
Bradley Wiggins famously liked Speedplay pedals and won on them in 2012!
One of the luxuries they get is being able to swap out the gearing etc depending on the stage
I am surprised, they could choose what pedals they used, as it makes bike swaps more difficult, and we know how good Jumbo Visma were at that.😊
The tour was won on speed play pedals under Carlos Sastre, and Andy Schleck not long ago. They were also on Cervelo bikes. The commenter has a short memory.
Wow Jonas is so lucky that his bike won the tour for him
Wiggins rode speed play didn’t he (and won the tdf) or have I just imagined that?
Wiggins in 2012 used Speedplay.
DIDN T FROOME USE SPEED PLAY PEDALS ??
Hookless rrms/tires?
Technically the bike that won was the R5
Why is that?
@@kpsig I am just being flippant. Apart from the TT bike in stage 16, Jonas won this year's tour in stage 17 on the R5. Since mountain stages are the most crucial ones in any grand tour, R5 is obviously much more important to a GC rider than the S5.
Sponsored Jumbo Visma since two thousand.... (unable to determine audio lol)
Oh man i just looked up the price for these bikes... Yeah not gonna happen lol. i'll just take grandmas bike up col de la loze instead.
Exactly! Stealing my sons bmx as we speak lol
😂The usual marketing rubbish - the pros will win on any compatible/ equivalent bike, brand is completely irrelevant except to newbies with plenty of cash😊
It didn't win any stages.
Nop had to settle for fastest time overall, (team and overall ranking 😎
@@brianegholm3273 Yes that is true but I like the bike that wins the cafe sprint. They didn't even try.
