The Sirui looks like a solid choice for portraits. However, I've been considering the TTArtisan 75mm f/2 recently. I’m curious how they perform side by side in real-world shooting.
Amazing review from you as always!! I have one question sir! Would you recommend it to be used for wedding shoots? Is the autofocus reliable enough for aisle walking shots? 🤭
@@MagicWeddingPhotographeram i the only one that still likes big size lenses? I'm really considering changing my Minolta 85mm 1.4G for the GM V1 even if it's softer than the gm II. That thang BIG.
@@MagicWeddingPhotographer got it, I thought on the a7C 2 and R only e-Front Curtain Shutter and full electronic, like on the old A7c 1 The bokeh problem also happens at 1/1000
I’ve been using the TTArtisan 75mm f/2 on my Sony, and it’s been a great match. Sure, the aperture is a bit smaller than this, but the sharpness across the frame and CA control are worth it. Plus, I feel like a 75mm is more versatile for portraits and general use. This sirui lens looks good but just overpriced...

Just purchased that lens for my Sony A7Cii camera! It's on sale for $500.00 now! Can't wait to get my new lens...

Nice lens for the price! Can always add a little sharpening to the subject in post if needed.
This sirui85mm is af better than 85gm i ?
It's smaller, has smoother bokeh, about the same sharpness in the center and if they fix the AF issues I had it's a great alternative.

Dzenki, good review
Glad you enjoyed it
Where do you buy your clothes? You look always so stylish 😅
Haha thanks, it’s a mix of whatever I can find!
To be honest why is it just a beginner lens great sharpness creamy bokeh 499.99 on sale is it the price?
I appreciate your work thats not a slight at you just asking. My other question is, is it better than the sony 85mm 1.8 for 599.99?
hi, how do you deal with the reduced bokeh on the A7c R? Do you shoot with a fully electronic shutter?
No , I just shoot mechanical, but since it’s going only to 1/4000 I don’t see this issue often. It’s mostly problematic above that,am I right?

Best budget 85mm f1.4 is a used sigma Lol
Fair point 🙈
Except for the bokeh
At close to 900, a used sigma is till 400 USD higher than a new Sirui. It's better, but hardly a budget.
sigma lenses for mirrorless have awful light transmission 💀

Does it have AF?
