I know what y’all are thinking, the guy is in on it. I promise you, he is not. JS Magic is behind the camera and can confirm, go ask him, that’s not how this trick is done! If you guys want a tutorial for this, I don’t think I would be comfortable posting one on RUclips because I think the effect is too strong to be given away for free. But I’m considering starting a Patreon soon! If this gets enough requests, I’ll consider putting a tutorial for this one on Patreon :)

@@Jack-iy2hkIn terms of sleight of hand it’s not hard. But it’s an advanced trick in other aspects. It requires extreme confidence and great audience management skills. If you don’t have those, then this won’t work.
@@Jack-iy2hknot hard concept is used from fims marcobi act .... You put it secretly another scribbled king into his pocket and then he later put two cards as one in the video the one with "three" then it's normal.. scribbling is the key so that the sign can't be matched ...they just know it has some scribble but not exact as the original

Stooge and a duplicate. He scribbles and does the smiley face to camo the signature so at a distance it looks like the same card.

@@rhegafd its not a staged trick, even if it wasnt the same card, the fact that the card teleported to the spector's pocket is still crazy, when I do it I usually palm the card and slide it into their pocket but he didnt even go near him
@@Fafnir950 think about what you just said. "the fact that the card teleported to his pocket when he wasn't near him is crazy" That's how you know he's either a stooge, or he slipped the dupe into his pocket before the trick started and the kid didn't know. I'm not saying it wasn't a fun trick to watch. I just don't care for magic tricks when there is only one way something can be done. Since we know he cant actually teleport cards to someones pocket, that only leaves one, maybe two options at best. To me that's not great magic to watch.
@@AMillionCardTricks if its not a stooge then it leaves only one option and that's he slipped the dupe in pre-performance. Which I would be more impressed if that was his method.

Hmm pretty sure that was a duplicate with all the scribbles and smiley faces. Making the card vanish was easy. If you know magic you know how. Great trick and presentation 🎉

Seems like off camera you snuck the card into his pocket, then when signing his name you added scribbles so that it would be hard to tell the card then you swapped it to the original when no one was paying attention and freaking out.

Given that you asked the group who hadn't helped you yet at the very beginning, I'm willing to bet the 'plant' happened during a previous trick where the guy who ended up with the card in his pocket, was a helper. Very fun trick though.

I think tricks with bills / paper currency are good too. Like two $1 bills changing into a $2 bills trick
No one is falling for that. It’s a duplicate card hence why he put duplicate smiley faces and scribbles on the card. Before the recording he or the cameraman put the duplicate in his pocket. Forces the same card. Then top changes to the original duplicate at the end. Hardly worth a patreon purchase because it’s not practical.
Then how come they fell for it, freaked out, and got fooled, on camera? I will say it’s not a trick that works 100% of the time, depends on the conditions, the spectators, your audience management, etc. But when it works, it looks like this. Why not take the risk? Because this was a miracle in their eyes.
Note to self - never perform a top change right in front of camera

In college, this frat dude did this trick to me at a table and made the car appear in my shirt pocket. That was back in 2006, and I still remember it!

Hey bro, i followed you for 7 or 8 years. I like your style and i appreciate that you are doing street magic especially with Jonathan. I wanted a comment about this trick. In first impession i thought this is a fake video. But i watched carefully in second time and i get it.
I think, this trick has a problem: If your spectator wants to examine the card, he/she can see distinction about cards. I don't want reveal so much detail but i hope you can understand me.

But I will say that if you watch the video again, I hand them the card to examine it, and they can confirm it is truly the exact same card that they signed, with their name and everything.

@@alper_kurtWhile you are correct in a sense, this trick requires great audience management to prevent what you said from happening. And it was executed perfectly. Perfect audience management will stop an examination of the card from happening before you want it to. Very well done Nathan. Mission accomplished..... minds blown. 👏👏

For me the trick died when you started to draw on the spectators card as well..
Also the spectator didn't like that moment as you can clearly see in his face when you're doing it.
Doesn't need an IQ of 150 to know why you're doing that ;)

I wouldn’t say it’s a 100% original idea, but I came up with my own way to get the card in their pocket without anyone knowing.

Doubt it. I came up with an original way to get the card into the spectators pocket. No stooge involved.
Yes, I don't know how the card ended up in the spectator's pocket, but I think the function of the signature and scribbles on the card is not to make the card "unique."
