    This explains why the scenes were so real and it felt like I was watching a Tyson fight. Badass movie Jake is beast if you haven't seen it ..WATCH IT!!

      You can't gain 15 pounds of lean muscle in that amount of time. Most likely it was a lot of carbohydrate loading and water minipulation to get him to look the part.

      @@SeptemberTwentyThird he had just lost 30 lbs to play the emaciated character in Nightcrawler right before he did this movie. Regaining lost muscle happens very, very fast once you start training again. Much faster than gaining it initially. So it's perfect conceivable he could've gained something close to that in the span of several months

    I wouldn't go far to say that the fight scenes were realistic. I know it's a movie and all, but the choreography was just way too clean.

      Yea I'm sorry but no boxing / fighting movie that is going for realism has ever really gotten it down for me like not every punch is gonna rock your head back 100 miles power hour and boxers learn to roll with punches block most shots they just don't look natural it looks overdone or too stiff. Still waiting for that boxing movie that the fight scene looks flawless and realistic

      because switching to southpaw by punching with the right while making a step forward with the right leg to get close is part of his gameplan for the last fight in the movie

      Respectfully disagree with you about that, I found creed to be extremely cheesy and predictable... southpaw is better acting better character development and more original, but everyone is different and you're entitled to your opinion
