They were supposed to be talking about stopping period shaming and I feel like Adrienne was shaming a lot. Saying people should know how to handle it by a certain age and shaming pads users. I wish they let Tamera talk a little more
Adrienne just needs to learn to use her words better because it sounded to me like she was originally trying to get at the fact that women may have concerns that, instead of genuinely being taken into consideration, are still being shrugged off as PMS even if they've probably got their menstrual issues under wraps already and have bigger things going on all the time that do deserve proper attention. She spoke against calling everything PMS but she went too deep into the idea of women being able to handle it all instead of just staying on the fact that it's weird and disrespectful to even be calling someone out for potentially being in that time of the month.

I think she just means that when you get to a certain age you learn how to handle it... So when I feel my back pain, I just go ahead and take my Aleve, stop drinking caffeine and head to the store to get some Reese's. Also the bleeding part, it gets to a point where you know, well my first day is going to be super heavy and my second day too...let me wear black jeans and get the overnight pads and I'm not hanging out tonight. Like you just automatically know what you gotta do.

I applaud Adam for getting those things for Tamera. My Ex-Husband would buy mine for me. One guy he saw him and asked him “Was he embarrassed for buying those things?” He told him no. He said “If she still needs these that means she is not pregnant.” Way to go Adam!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think the whole idea of it being “ disgusting “ it’s something natural that all girls and women go through... trust me , I wasn’t shy to it... I had three sisters and a mother and I had to deal with being their listening ear on how bad the pain was , bring them all types of snacks , and be there by their side... I was the only brother in the house that wanted to help but I just didn’t know what I was getting myself into 😭 I lowkey regret it... but I do feel for women... you ladies still have to live life even when you want to curl up in a ball and cry and etc.
This made me tear up. Thank you for your comment. And empathy. Most of us women get some mix of symptoms, not to mention the whiplash of emotions. Sounds like you’re a wonderful brother. I hope your sisters know this.
I once saw this post on Pinterest that said “I like it when people say you must be on your period in an argument because it gives me the excuse to say I started my day in a pool of my own blood and that’s how I’ll end yours” I don’t think that’s the exact words but that basically it lol
I don’t have either of these conditions but my periods are so bad I will have diarrhea and throw up at the same time while feeling dizzy and having cold and hot sweats simultaneously. Usually taking 4-5 Aleeve pills (in correct time frame obviously) helps. But yeah “keep it pushing” doesn’t apply to me.
Jen J how is it better than having a big wad of cotton inside you, sticking to your walls, making you chafe from the inside out, and often leaving residual cotton pieces that you can’t even see?
@@nfvy8111 I used to use tampons/pads but it all changed for the better when I switched to a period cup! So much more comfortable and affordable than tampons or pads combined!
@@GabbyFabby1994 I love my cup! WAY more comfortable, more environmentally friendly, drastically cheaper, and I can wear it way longer than pads/tampons.
My periods have lead me to suicidal thoughts and I used to have cramps that would cause me to faint. I honestly thought this was normal behavior till I went to the doctor.
Honestly, I feel like this has changed a lot since the time I was in middle school. I work with middle schoolers and they have no problems discussing their periods and asking questions.
Adrienne needs to be more empathetic. My periods are very VERY irregular because of pcos, now... Which means I have no idea when my period will be, so some days I feel extremely depressed and even cry...for little things sometimes, I feel horrible after a week or less I get my period.
Pierina Coll Torres well DUUUHH!! She’s obviously talking about women with normal periods! I can’t believe there’s so many of y’all in this comment section hard down offended by what she said! Like, relax! Y’all carrying on like she literally said, “ALL women should know when they’re cycle is coming.” She didn’t say that! Get off her back! #ifitdoesntapply #letitfly 🙄🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Pierina Coll Torres my heart goes out to you girl 💗🙏🏻. I don’t have personal experience with this but a friend of mine does and I hear you👍🏻. People need to be more mindful. I get she didn’t mean to be hurtful, but unless you go through something as personal as you have, it’s hard for people to truly GET IT and should think before they speak💗💗💗.
Try myo inositol, Ive taken it for 3 months and ive had 2 regular cycles that are far shorter than what I was used to before..prior to starting it my last cycle was going on 80 days and was induced with progesteron pills. Its worth a try, amd there are a few studies that show it does work for women with menstral irregularities and PCOS. My natrual cycle was around 35-40 days, with the pills Im around 30-35 days which means things are getting better with them.
Pequena Butterfly Wearing those contraptions were also for the poor neighborhoods areas where people couldn’t afford the pads with the sticky - they had those at my cousins school on the 90s
Adrienne’s comment really bothered and offended me. All women have different problems when it comes to that time of the month. There sum who only get it for 3 days w/ hardly no cramps and mood is fine, but then u have the ones who get it irregular, for a week, very heavy, horrendous cramps and no matter how hard u try 2 control moods u can’t. Endometriosis is no joke some women hav 2 get surgery b/c of it. I feel women who don’t really hav bad periods make these type of remarks but the ones who have or had BAD periods they sympathize with u.
I still use pads. My doctor told me to never use tampons because they call it Aunt Flo for a reason. It's because it's suppose to come out and not to be plugged up and kept in there.
Adrienne said in an "All Things Adrienne" episode that she barely gets her period; just light spotting so she doesn't even use a pad or tampon so she shouldn't be commenting on this topic. Periods can be really debilitating to some people so calm your judgment about "controlling" it 🙄
After watching one of Adrienne's videos on her channel about what her period is like, it makes what she said here even worse. Adrienne barely has a period at all and doesnt experience any PMS
Exactly! And she says that we should, "stick it out" and suck it up. No, girl, no! Some of us get the worst cramps ever! Experience very, very, heavy flow it's almost nauseating, and get to extreme points of PMS. It's really annoying how she talks about it as if it's nothing. 🔥😡
I’m glad y’all had this topic on T.V it’s extremely necessary for both men and women to have more understanding in this topic. I grew up with 3 sisters so I’m pretty comfortable around this as well as my sisters because of my incredible mother, but the fact that Tam is still embarrassed is a reflection of our society, not just her.
Tamera, I swear we are the same person! A lot of the things you talk about I’m the exact same way! I also still get embarrassed so don’t feel bad. You’re so cute and innocent! You keep doing you, girl 💕
I started my period when I was 11 at school and had no idea what it was. I thought I injured myself and was very frustrated when the 🩸 would not stop . I told my mum about it after school and the relief when she explain that it’s normal 🤲🏻
Every woman has her own unique periods. I have heavy ones. My sisters barely have a monthly period. The day you start your period can change. I agree with Loni that education and honest talk can help women. There is nothing to be ashamed about. I use pads but tampons can work for others. Use what you need to get through it. Lol
Jeannie's point about forgetting if you took it out is soooo real especially if you have anxiety or hypochondria. That's why I started texting myself when I take it out and put it in and it also keeps a time stamp so I know not to keep it in too long 😂
Period related mood swings are real! Sometimes you really do have a hard time regulating your emotions but that's the time when you have to set boundaries.
Sleeping with u while u bleeding is not hygenic. And its bad for u cause u can get bacteria and and infection. Theres a reason why u shouldnt do it but yall do it anyway... just sayin it got nothin to do with love its not safe...
I period shame myself and I think I always will regardless if I get told how natural it is. It's disgusting and I always feel dirty when I experience it. I could take 3 baths a day during my time of the month ( I do) and I still feel dirty. The cramps, the mood swings, the awful smell, and the fear of spilling through if I feel a heavy flow overpowers any belief that I should see my period as some feminine badge of honor. Screw that. Menopause cannot come soon enough and I'm only 21.
Adrienne said a woman knows, like girl do some research a lot of us have different bodies ever heard of pcos called hormonal imbalance can also cause irregular periods 🤷🏽♀️ so no a lot of us don’t know
My mother got me that same belt. Plus I had the big box of stayfree box. Worked in the ER and had many women to come in with old tampons in. Drs had to shut the room DOWN! If you can't smell yourself there is a PROBLEM.
I believe that the coddling of children has led to the increase in the suicide rate at a young age. They just don't know how to brush off things and let them slide like before.
Adrienne clearly doesnt get PMS or even that much of her period , thinking you can “handle” it all the time. The pain sometimes is killing.. also you cant always control your mood. It’s natural. We do not have to “Handle it”.
I bet once she has a child that will all change for her. We are all different when it comes to our cycle. I use to have cramps so bad that I would have to stay home 1x a month from school but after I had children they went away. Now my body doesn't want to go into menopause...😰Ugh!!!🙏 for ME.
I’ve had two kids I feel like “handling it” means different things to different people but she’s right, if you know you’re hormonal and moody at a certain time, do something about it 🤷🏻♀️ that’s my me time, my man can make plans without me and I take care of myself and get through it without making women look bad. We can’t control what nature does to it but we can try our best to control this stigma about women being bitches on their period
J lynn i agree with u. Sometimes tbe pain is so bad and the bleeding so heavy, it debilitates u. U just feel to lie down all day and just groan. Have u ever found yourself rollinh from one end of the bed to the other.
I'm weird. I was never embrassed about my period. I was like Ade when it happened the first time. I knew i had to have pads that it's about it because my friend from school went through it. I called my mom and told her I needed pads. She was shocked because we never had that talk but it wasn't that big of a deal for me. I Even said "my vagina is killing me" in front of a male coworker to get him to stop bugging me. But I do feel embrassed having a tampon or pad in eye sight of a guy. I am with Tam I switched back to pads because of the toxic syndrome. I heard a woman last her leg over it.
I guess this counts as shaming but I was so happy when I started using tampons. With pads you’re literally sitting in your own blood. Disposal isn’t discrete. You can see the pad through clothing etc. I’m so happy that I take birth control and don’t have to worry about it.
My friend was on her period so she told her male gym teacher “I can’t participate in the swim unit today because I’m on my period” and he responded “Ok. But you didn’t have to say it like that” how was she supposed to say it? “The Red Sea is here 😉 😉 🩸 “
No one should be embarrassed etc, it's only a period, it's completely natural, normal. Do what makes you feel good, what's comfortable for you and your body. Its about you not anyone else, we're all different. I think sanitary products should be free or atleast very cheap. Women should be aloud to have off days of they feel like they can't work etc. Periods take a lot out of you. We should put the health and happiness of women first. Pads, cups, tampons etc whatever, no one should be shamed. Do you boo.
Yesss being on my period makes me crazy not ashamed either... hold up being on my period is a serious thing and my emotions are serious too not an excuse....
I’m 18 and just got out a relationship with a 20 year old who would make me feel so gross and ashamed when I would be on my period or if I bled after intercourse..still healing from that oof
I’m so grateful to God that I have a man that will actually go to the store and buy pads/tampons for me, ask me if I want food or candy, rub my tummy, and make me feel comfortable. Because I’ve dated a lot of guys that made me feel disgusting.
I LOVE GETTTTING MY PERIOD! I LOVE SEEING IT, FINDING IT, ENDING IT, NOT SEEING IT, GETTING IT........ I WILL MISS IT! IT MAKES ME FEEEEEEEL ALIVEEEEEEEEEEEE! IT MAKES ME FEEEL SO POWERFUL! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT~
As someone who works in a grocery story. Nobody cares about u buying pads. I hope I don't come off mean but we see it all the time it's so normal i hope this helps woman feel less stress about buying pads and tampons
I get so bad i feel my blood coming down it feels heavy. I have a female friend that thinks it is disgusting and doesn't realize why i don't want to be around her when I am on it. I have no problem talking about it even in front of guy friends. I had my period 3 weeks was losing so much blood i thought I was going to die. So it isn't an excuse it is how I feel I am 36. I used to throw up everytime I started my period before I had my son. Everybody has their period different.

@@heritage.home.crochet I feel you on that but see you and I know how to handle it or know the signs etc.... She's never experienced any of the things we have because she has said several times that she's never had PMS. Which is a blessing, I'm sure any woman would agree but she can't just say to us we should have it under control because I'm sure as you know. Our periods can be very Unpredictable and come and go when it wants to lol and that is what causes major PMS 🤦🏾♀️ and she'll never understand that lol
@@heritage.home.crochet I understand what you're saying and I understand that we all have to do what we have to do when we have to do it.. inspire of what's going on, but I don't think that's what Adrienne meant.
Jeannie is my favorite. She’s so understanding and actually thinks before she speaks.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you!!!!

Myronn Coleman you’re the best brother . If I even say “period” my brothers get all awkward and uncomfortable 😂🙄

I once saw this post on Pinterest that said “I like it when people say you must be on your period in an argument because it gives me the excuse to say I started my day in a pool of my own blood and that’s how I’ll end yours” I don’t think that’s the exact words but that basically it lol
And then there are women with PCOS and endometriosis who have extremely horrendous periods and can’t just “ keep it pushing”
@@juliaraygorodsky1434 ik what you mean that was just saad
Even if you don’t have a medical condition having your period can still be hard
Pads it’s more healthy because you let the blood out not in inside of you
Pads feel like It's like wearing a diaper, with that stuff sitting against your skin. I hate it! 😣
Honestly, I love pads and tampons.
My periods have lead me to suicidal thoughts and I used to have cramps that would cause me to faint. I honestly thought this was normal behavior till I went to the doctor.
Damn loni's makeup looks beautiful today 😭❤
Today, one year ago or smn 😂
Amen!!! #cysters #pcos
Yes, I think Adrienne should educate herself before talking sometimes, I love her though, just find her a tad judgmental
I like how loni be acting old af but tampons were invented in the late 1920’s 😂. Girl you ain’t that old
In a lot of places tampons are still taboos.
Pequena Butterfly
Wearing those contraptions were also for the poor neighborhoods areas where people couldn’t afford the pads with the sticky - they had those at my cousins school on the 90s
why Loni always got some kinda story to tell.. "my aunt" "my friend's mom"😂
“I’m a old b*tch” 😂😂😂😂
Adrienne’s comment really bothered and offended me. All women have different problems when it comes to that time of the month. There sum who only get it for 3 days w/ hardly no cramps and mood is fine, but then u have the ones who get it irregular, for a week, very heavy, horrendous cramps and no matter how hard u try 2 control moods u can’t. Endometriosis is no joke some women hav 2 get surgery b/c of it. I feel women who don’t really hav bad periods make these type of remarks but the ones who have or had BAD periods they sympathize with u.
Yo how good does loni loookkk?! 🔥 🔥 🔥
I thought you was the only one with eyes
Can't believe it tbh
I feel the same she looks gorgoues all of them but she looks special
PMS is not an excuse. It's s real thing, if we are going to talk about it, we need to be real about what it is.
Adriene is getting on my nerves.. she need to understand that everyone has different ways of dealing..with your cycle
I still use pads. My doctor told me to never use tampons because they call it Aunt Flo for a reason. It's because it's suppose to come out and not to be plugged up and kept in there.
Erin Pouncey bit it doesn’t stay up. The tampon absorbe it and when it’s time to change it you’ll feel it.

Adrienne said in an "All Things Adrienne" episode that she barely gets her period; just light spotting so she doesn't even use a pad or tampon so she shouldn't be commenting on this topic. Periods can be really debilitating to some people so calm your judgment about "controlling" it 🙄
Man...lucky her.
I still use pads 😊😊
Your period is between you and yourself you don’t have to let the whole world know when you have it!!
@Josephine Bournes have you thought that Maybe they're just a private person that doesn't want their business out. 🤷🏾♀️
Sometimes you can't control it , everyone is different stop judging

Every woman has her own unique periods. I have heavy ones. My sisters barely have a monthly period. The day you start your period can change. I agree with Loni that education and honest talk can help women. There is nothing to be ashamed about. I use pads but tampons can work for others. Use what you need to get through it. Lol
Adrienne too funny for that funky joke lol she said it like it was nothing
Jeannie's point about forgetting if you took it out is soooo real especially if you have anxiety or hypochondria. That's why I started texting myself when I take it out and put it in and it also keeps a time stamp so I know not to keep it in too long 😂

Mercia Misigaro I would disagree just because Adrienne is so New Yorker and carefree like Carrie, Jennie Mai is a bit more serious like Miranda.

@@Elessa89 Just want to point out that menopause can be torture too. Like some women go through it! It can also last a long time...
No cap this is one of my favorite episodes to watch when I need a good laugh
I guess this counts as shaming but I was so happy when I started using tampons. With pads you’re literally sitting in your own blood. Disposal isn’t discrete. You can see the pad through clothing etc. I’m so happy that I take birth control and don’t have to worry about it.
" I'm a old bitch " I'm pissing on myself 😭🤣🤣
My friend was on her period so she told her male gym teacher “I can’t participate in the swim unit today because I’m on my period” and he responded “Ok. But you didn’t have to say it like that” how was she supposed to say it? “The Red Sea is here 😉 😉 🩸 “
Right. Whomp whomp.
I have pmdd but yes please tell me to just get it under control
No one should be embarrassed etc, it's only a period, it's completely natural, normal.
Do what makes you feel good, what's comfortable for you and your body. Its about you not anyone else, we're all different.
I think sanitary products should be free or atleast very cheap. Women should be aloud to have off days of they feel like they can't work etc.
Periods take a lot out of you. We should put the health and happiness of women first.
Pads, cups, tampons etc whatever, no one should be shamed. Do you boo.
