This is really sad as I was hoping AEW would be competition for WWE and to be catered more for adults. Sad they cater to a niche market and not to a more casual fan model.
Adults generally don’t watch wrestling unless it’s with their kids. Wrestling has always been geared towards children. I have yet to meet a wrestling fan who wasn’t a wrestling fan as a kid. One day some of you might understand
AEW talk about WCW failing without realising the biggest lesson of 2000 WCW. Reacting to and building the product based on what internet fans say they want leads to disaster. Hardly anyone was actually around at the time and into wrestling enough to know WCW was doing what aew is doing and it failed then and is failing now. Its already been proven doing what the internet says leads to disaster
When WCW started talking about the scripts loads - it followed an internet push to be more honest about it = total disaster. The internet fans have always been the opposite of the mainstream fans. Indie wrestling is for them not actual companies.

Okay, this particular criticism is stupid. Damn near *everyone* involved in the pro wrestling business is a mark. It's not just the fans. That's not the problem at all. Every wrestling promoter past and present has been a big wrestling fan, but they were able to put their business hat on and run their promotion like a business. Tony Kahn is different as he runs AEW mostly (if not entirely) like a fan, which is something that I'm not sure we've ever seen before. If it's happened before, it certainly hasn't been on this scale as he's running a major promotion.
Tony is still that same teenage boy doing his fantasy booking, only now that fantasy booking has become real. And really, it's not all bad by any means. He's got the talent and has had some good ideas, it's mostly just the execution of everything that's been mostly bad. He's had some good segments here and there though, and I still think the MJF and Adam Cole angle was fucking brilliant overall. I've said it a million times, all he's got to do is hire a good experienced booker, but he won't do that. He doesn't even need to give up booking, he just needs someone to help work alongside him to make the proper adjustments and changes so that everything makes sense and all these matches don't feel so random and uninteresting.

I get AEW is no where near perfect and Tony Khan is a mark but i hardly see any critiques or criticism towards WWE I understand you might still be upset because Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan didn't take you up on your offer when you wanted to help them when they were first starting.
