I took my first tattoo in 2011 and since then I just had this feeling of "I want more" but didn't know what. I've since gotten 4 tattoos from artists I admire, whose style I trust and I absolutely adore every single piece they've made me. So thank you for inspiring me in my journey to the world of tattoos.

My first Qcknd inspired tattoo was the word “softer” tattooed on my inner lip. When you got your tender tattoo and posted it online, I adored it. The summer you got that tattoo was no doubt a hard summer for you, it was a hard one for me too, i lost my friend who was like my brother and i was in the midst of a bad breakup and i was about to move out of my parents’ house for college so i got a “self care” tattoo somewhere that only i would see. It’s a super loved tattoo among my friends and i love it a lot (even though it says softe now) and it inspired a zine i made that summer too. I’ve been meaning to send you a copy of the zine, but I’m not sure where to send it to!
This is so wild omg the Joanna Newsom spider tattoo... for quite some time I played with the idea of getting a spider web with nooses hanging from it based on the same lyrics heeeeell yeah!!!! It's so cool that that like whole chunk of that song has inspired other ppls tattoo ideas too!!! The "in tiny nooses, safe from everything" at the end of that lil stanza especially punches me in the gut which is why my idea had the nooses and friiick I'm suddenly amped up at the thought of getting it again shiiit, like this looks so cool it's making me feel crazy for not getting it right away !!

When I started researching for my tattoo I found QCKND and have been here ever since. Mamma Quack has taught me so much, not just about tattoos, but how to handle myself and be strong and proud of myself. My first (and only as of now) tattoo is an Eastern Asian dragon on my back, from below my collar to just below my waist. QCKND gave me confidence and knowledge to go for it, I debate submitting for fear of it being stolen and not being on tumbler or Instagram to know when or how to submit it. Seeing that she can define her femininity while having tattoos, wear the elegant or feminine things she wants, or wear the flannels, I decided I can and will be exactly the level or modified I want to be. "You're too pretty for (insert piercing or tattoos in general here)." "And I'll be even prettier because I am happy and more comfortable with it." Rather than sitting there and listening to other people's hangup as opposed to an actual reason not to.

This video inspired me to move some money into my savings account so I can get more tattoos 😔✊ I'm working on trauma therapy right now so I'm not sure now is the right time to put something permanent on my body when I'm going through such change, but maybe it would also be good to do it since it could link me to this beautiful time in my life
your tender tattoo has inspired me so so so much. this has been a very very hard year for me, and i love the idea of a self love tattoo. recently (tw) i relapsed and cut myself for the first time in years and once the cuts heal and i have the funds i intend to get a self love tattoo over the scars. i think i am going to get an anotomical heart, potentially even a diagram of a bisected heart and the blood flow through it (i may see if i can incorporate some sort of saying about self love but idk). i am a med student and the heart is my favorite part of the body (yes, med students have a favorite organ) and ive been thinking of getting a heart for awhile, and i think this would be a great way to do it. remind me of my driving force (medicine), as well as the heart being a symbol for love. All of it being over my self harm scars adds so much for me. a constant reminder of love: both to love myself and of the subject i love. obviously its very different from your tender tattoo but its the concept of a self love tattoo that inspired me. When i get it ill be sure to submit it but it may be awhile cause im poor as shit

I had to call out a friend/tattoo artist for straight up stealing another tattoo artist's flash sheet off their Instagram. She tried to justify it by saying she didn't say they were her designs, and she left the tattoo artists watermark on it. We are both in the local art community, so the fact she is an artist, and thought it was okay to steal someone's art, totally threw me off. And as an artist myself, I was pissed at her, and let the other artist know. After some backlash, she finally removed the designs from her fb page.
