Absolutely love that they have been honest with you about colour as some machines can’t remove green and blue. I’m super excited to follow your removal journey. Good luck Xx
dress my age... ok, if u want to do it cuz u got tired of them, good for you... but all this ... acting like turning 30 is just like "u have to do certain kind of stuff just to fit in" it's lame af
Just my personal preference and feeling like being about to turn 30 has changed my mind about a lot of things - including tattoos. It’s not an age thing, just a change in my own mindset, and as I say I’m keeping my other tattoos!
Hey Jasmin good luck on your removal journey actually to go in this journey of removing you kust be so patience cuz its so painful and so hard i have black ink tattoo covering my whole hand i had 3 Lazer sessions and all i can say that it's extremely painful especially the care time i mean after lazer when your remove the bandage and put creams i really hate this an now im considering to remove it by surgery i know it's gonna tike long time but its not as painful as lazer I wish you find the results you looking for ❤
I’m currently on session 4 of removal it’s tough going! I found really rest for 2/3 days after and wash in salt water and elevate your leg, I also started taking vitamin D I think this really speeded up the recovery good luck looking forward to your journey x
I am 38 and got my 6 large black inc only tattoos on my arms around 22. Regret them all. Doing laser treatments since 1 year ago, it will probably be two-three more years more til they are full gone if that ever is possible. It is a VERY hard process in many ways. Both expensive, hurts alot, slow, and you will be crazy loking all the time "why isnt it fading?! ". But it does But be prepared you have to hold on to it for many years. And u should wait longer between sessions then recomended because it will be cheaper and it will keep fading but takes more time.Totally worth it if u regret it of course. To be its became like a curse wanting them fast gone. Its a long time investment. Wish u all the best / Olov from Sweden
I really appreciate your honesty and transparency. I'm turning 27 soon and I have 14 tattoos and I'm kind of hating on most of them? which sounds crazy to say! there's one I really want removed (not because its badly done or ugly but just because it's just not me as a working professional) and when you said why are you bopping about with xyz on your body I really related! Thank you so much for sharing xx
I am a tattooed person and have experience with laser removal. Jasmine's tattoos will surely take 3 - 5 years to remove. Even then, they will not be completely gone and you might be left with scarring and stubborn ink blotches that won't disappear. People need to understand that you can never go back to "virgin" skin after tattooing it. Imo, if your tattoos are well done and non offensive, you're almost always better off just leaving them and accepting them. A lot of the time, the alternative is to have scarred half-gone ink leftovers, which looks worse than a nice, well done tattoo. Not to mention the invested time and money. But to each their own.
I think it depends entirely on the laser technician. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad laser clinics, but also very good ones. I'm currently having 4 tattoos lasered, all of them professionally done with thick outlines, and it's true that it takes ages. But black ink in particular can actually be removed quite reliably, it just takes time. The tattoo that I started lasering first has now had about 5 sessions and the lines are slowly breaking up and disappearing. The shading has already completely disappeared and the skin looks exactly the same as it did before. Scars are usually not caused by the laser, but by the tattoo itself. I think the most difficult thing about Jasmine's tattoos are the colors (yellow in particular is probably difficult to remove because it's too light). But that doesn't mean it's impossible. It doesn't really matter if you spend your whole life being ashamed of your legs because of the tattoos or if you're ashamed of having half-lasered tattoos on your legs, so you can at least try. At least the laser gives you the opportunity to fade tattoos enough that you can cover them with either makeup or a new, lighter/less noticeable tattoo. But I agree with you that laser treatment is often marketed incorrectly by clinics. 6-10 sessions within a year, as is often advertised, are not enough for most tattoos. I would also say 3-5 years with 10-20+ sessions is realistic.
@@chrissaaay I agree with you mostly, except on the part about scars mostly being caused by the tattoo, rather than the laser removal. It really is a case-by-case type of thing. I've had scarring develop from badly done garage tattoos and also from laser. If a laser technician sets the settings even a tiny bit too high or if you treat a particularly sensitive/thin part of the skin with laser, you most certainly can end up with a burn which then turns into a scar. This can happen even with a professional laser technician. Also, the yellow ink you've mentioned is another huge issue that is often overlooked. Light colored inks can oxydize so easily and consequentially become virtually impossible to remove, ever. In any case, as you confirmed yourself, the laser removal industry is very often marketed untruthfully.
That’s so crazy because I have never shown my legs or arms until I got tattoos! I’ve also worked in law for years and so many of my colleagues have big tattoos. Biglaw = more tattoo money! Lol. But you do you!
Looking forward to watching your journey I’ve just had my 4th session on my sleeve, I’m in a similar situation..had my sleeve in my early 20s and now 37 it’s not me anymore..your become addicted I promise constantly taking pictures
All I can say to this is good luck. Laser removal isn't nearly as efficient as people seem to think it is, so don't be surprised if 2 years from now you're still lasering and your tattoos are still mostly there. It's more than likely you'll never be able to "remove" them completely in the way that you want.
This was discussed at my consultation and I 100% agree. I'm hoping that over the next few years I can reduce them as much as possible, which will then make them much easier to cover with a bit of makeup if there are parts that are struggling to be lasered. Then at least I won't feel self conscious and feel like I need to cover myself completely! :)
The aim is to remove as much as possible and then if there are any bits leftover, it is much easier to use some coverage foundation for when I have my legs out :) Not going for any more tattoos!
I am not sure how I feel about this all tatoo removal trend. Should we not own our past, our mistakes and who we were at the time ? If we were hot headed enough in our teens years to get tatoo, shouldn't we be condident enough in our 30's to carry these tatoos proudly ? Especially in 2024 where there is no stigmate attach with tatoo anymore.
I think the opposite, I’m covered in tattoos, but you shouldn’t have to wear something forever if you don’t like it anymore. Same as you might get rid of an expensive item of clothing you owned, but don’t like anymore. You can own your past without, but it shouldn’t have to scar your body. I’m a school teacher and they’re so much a pain to cover all year. I’d have them removed if i could. It was fun years ago, but in my 40s, I’ve had my fun styling like that. All my body piercings are gone, the hair dye has gone, just the ink to go. Should be personal choice.
shouldn’t we let people do whatever they want with their bodies? especially in 2024? also don’t you have anything better to do on a sunday? go vacuum your crusty house maybe?
@@ryanjxrdan although I appreciate the sentiment and support for Jasmine’s wishes, the teacher in me wants to say “Yes, he has a different opinion that we don’t agree with, but there is no evidence his house is crusty (or un-hoovered 😂), let’s lay of the personal attacks” 😂
@@ryanjxrdan Allowing people to not take responsibility for their own decisions is not kind or respectful, it's treating them like children.
