Well, I have thoroughly enjoyed this vehicle for a few years and it's time to move on. I'll be selling it soon, but check out what I'll be replacing it with.

Sweet burnout! Love it!
A recap of my daily driver. It's got about 62 k miles on it since it was put together.
Tell me what's your daily and why....
A 2012 Avalanche, because it does it all.
'07 Civic, cuz gas mileage 😁
2003 avalanche 1500 z71 with 360k miles! Planning on boosting with a nice cam! Nice video!
@@jamesstdenis8458 Have fun with it. LS +boost=good time
This is reinforcing the bad ideas l already had...
Love it!!
I'm getting ready to sell this one. My wandering eye has found something I need to swap an LS turbo into 😔
This is exactly what i was looking for. I have a 2011 i want to do a single turbo on!
Best of luck with it! You will need to make a new low side ac hose and extend your heater hoses, I found out the hard way that they are too close to the turbo...
@@autovationFtWorth thank you for the heads up!
@autovationFtWorth I noticed that they have a full kit. Did you not order the kit?
@@NewVisionLCS Nope, I used a cast iron passenger side manifold from Amazon ($130) fabricated everything else and coat me about 1/3 of the price.
@@autovationFtWorthgot it!
Approx How much would it cost to turbo a first gen 5.3?
Hard to say because I built most of it and I hate to throw numbers around. If you really want details contact me via email. The email address is on the channel description page.
Thanks for watching
What sized injectors and pump are you running and did you repin the maf for IAT bung Or just leave it be.
Injectors are LSA 50 lb/hr and the pump is a 400 lph walbro witha radium engineering venturi on the return side. Boost reference pressure regulator is set at 58 psi with 1 psi increasee for every lb of boost. It's tuned for speed density (no maf) with an IAT only. Just tied into the 2 wires for the iat
Stabilitrak and traction control disengaged, full send
Just gonna send it!!
Where did you get the manifold and piping
If you're referring to the exhaust manifold, it's an Amazon special, all of the piping I fabricated
Where did you tap into the oil pan?
Just in front of the sump and right below the pan rail. I drilled and tapped it for 1/2 npt and put a 10 an fitting in it
Horse power and cost on build?
No dyno numbers but from experience I would say around 500hp 500tq
Cost is hard to tabulate because my labor is free to me. I've got about $2000 in the turbo, intercooler, exhaust etc. $1200 in the 4L80e and $1500 in the engine rebuild. (Parts prices only) Thanks for watching!
@@autovationFtWorth Nice!
Is the 4l80e stock in the 07 and up? I've got a 2004 with 134k on it, I figured I'd probably refresh the heads at some point, maybe throw a cam in it and turbo it. Curious if I built my stock 4l60e up if it would hold the power.
@scottdangerfield3227 the 4l80e is not stock in your Avalanche. It has a 4l65e (upgraded 4l60e)
I use a 4l60 in just about all of my swaps if I don't tow with them. They are good for about 600hp if you don't tow a lot or launch it too hard.
@autovationFtWorth Thank-you for the reply. Sounds like I'll stick with the 4l60 and build it. No sense in launching a 4x4 truck. That what my supercharged magnum srt8 is for. :)
whats the mpg look like lol
Not bad, if you can keep your foot out of the throttle. It's done 21 MPG on a long trip. Big hills will kill it because it's in boost.
@@autovationFtWorth mine gets 13 mpg with an L96 and big cam😂
Lol looks my avy.
