The law definitely is corrupt!
File a malpractice suit against the doctors denying brain injury if you have proof of brain injury.
Denying medical treatment just makes your symptoms worst. I’m sorry 😐 I’m suffering too with pain, you’re not the only one suffering your family suffers too.😭
Excellent report. This is happening all cross North America. Unfortunately these fraudulent delays and denials have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of disabled injured workers..
I ruptured 2 discs in my neck at work. Worker's comp would not pay for MRI until after almost 6 months then told my surgeon they would only cover 1 disc and he would have to resend paper work after the surgery to repair the disc, in order to get paid to cover the second disc and another surgery. He was livid he threatened to call the medical board on them. Luckily I only had to go through 1 surgery to fix both. Took over 2 years to get approval. Just 5 days before surgery they took me to court to get me thrown off worker's comp until my surgery (no joke) the judge was livid. Luckily the judge sides with me and could not believe they tried to take me off for 5 days.
wow feel so bad for this guy...hope he gets restitution for being treated badly by insurance company
It’s not just Michigan. It’s everywhere. What worker’s compensation insurance companies put legit ppl through is horrific. They’ll keep hiring those these so called independent medical examiner’s for you to see over and over again until one of two things happen. You give up or find that one doctor who will side with the company that hired them . They nearly drove me crazy after a 2015 work injury caused 6 surgeries and and a 70% disability as well as emotional stress .
They are cruel, relentless and often do these exams because they are lacking in their practice and need the xtra income from the companies you work for and often don’t send your full report to these docs but only what they believe will immediately cause that doc to distrust you from the start . Don’t believe for a sec they are independent. They will look for any reason to stop payment. I didn’t give up and they settled on my suit but at such an emotional and physical cost . Their surgeons are no better and 6 surgeries are proof of that . Taking on worker’s comp isn’t for the faint hearted.
IT's not just in Mich. It's happening in every State across this country. Then when us injured workers try and complain to the med boards the med board condones this behavior as being the Standard of care. Many of us can not get lawyers to help us if their is not a 3rd party with deep pockets to fight back on our behalf. So were driven insane, trying to be our own lawyers, in a deck that has been stacked against us. AN in my State of Washington, the States largest IME Company is owned and operated by one of our former State Medical Directors. So when the injured workers complain to the med boards, they don't care and cover it all up for their old boss and potential future employer should they chose to leave the state med board for the private sector employment. WHAT A RACKET? That State leaders from both party's know is going on. WE NEED FEDERAL OVERSIGHT into these bought out state med tort and work comp laws, where the deck as been stacked against the workers and insurance consumers, for a few in our world to profit off all this abuse. I almost died for workscomp dealing my antibiotics and surgery ..I had to go on emergency surgery in the Emergency room .. simple crushed injury became infected and quickly became life threatening after they failed to get my medication made it worst long story short 7 surgery's later and me almost died they gave me my treatment. .. wtf is with our country insurance treatment where in the USA and in California at that

My brother broke his back while on the job... He was basically told to except it and get on with life. Owner sold the company over night and everything. Workers comp is a joke, and always will be. Screwed him every step of the way and never stopped
I'm on year five of my workers comp nightmare, my fourth attorney. One quit, one retired after a couple of years, Yada, yada, yada, they drag me to court, talk bad about me to the judge and no one cares. Meanwhile I lay in bed all day everyday suffering.

and insurance companies think if they can get you to drop it or give up, they can take the money pocket it and do it to next guy , no you have to fight and take it to court is only way you can win and leave medical open forever
I am still denied medical care requested for workplace injury. My MRI Scans "Falsified" the pictures are "PROOF BEYOND A SHADOW OF DOUBT" everything possible is used to "CONTAIN COSTS" - WCB = " WORST CRIMINAL BASTARDS " Pure Evil Psychopathic Perverts. WCB Slogan: " We Deny, Lie, Falsify... Hope you DIE "
How is it possible to have any chance for health recovery after severe workplace injury, when Non-medical WCB Claims adjusters are allowed to deny physicians / specialists requests for funds to perform surgery to treat workplace injury?
He should just steal a candy bar then and go to jail. He would also have access to medical care there unlike what he is getting now.
Companies won't wait 2 years when it's time to pay that insurance premium.
Broke my neck on a job where the scaffolding collapsed took a month before they would do the operation to fuse my neck C4 5 and 6 was in severe pain workman's comp and the doctors treated me like I was trash that good luck dealing with workman's comp

I'm going thru it. The IME got 3,500 for 15 minute and writing a 10 page report favoring the employer. From my injury fund. They rewrote all my medical records to discredit my claim. Forced me back to work injured w/o medical care. My left hand is now deformed and partially paralyzed and it has been downcoders to a thumb tendonitis. Both my shoulders have rotator cuff tears and my right middle finger is still dislocated. I've been waiting for help for 1 .5 years and LNI refuse to cover pain meds. The work comp attorneys don't let you know they are actually Third party administrators and do as much damage as fast as they can to your claim. I have seen over 20 doctors and given healing care one time and it was a botched surgery. LNI are paying the doctors and lawyers for desired results and they have to be partnered thru. PLLC. Its nothing short of disgusting. The doctor went so far as to remove my x rays and replaced with generic ones. They force the cost of injury back on the state Medicaid or Medicare coverage who then surrogate your recovery for themselves. The employers are actually getting paid to injure employees who then profit knowing LNI are going to lie for them and protect them and give the worker as little as possible then pay themselves back the maximum of the third party insurer. I had to pay a lawyer $2,500.00 only to get screwed worse and keep my claim open long enough for LNI to run up outrageous charges.
I truly believe you. I have heard lawyers will screw injured workers over as if they are helping them. God will most definitely deal with them
Yeah, why anyone talk about insurance fraud??? They supossed to be for us to help, not for damage us, ive seen they are willing to do anything as long as their interests are not "harmed". They suck.
Should exist surveillance for them. They even put us on risk in so many ways at least in my case the have done anything to force me to quit it and i wont do it cause i am really sick
6.5 years to treat my cervical spine injuries and still fighting. My lower lumbar is going to have surgery outside of WC/ I can’t live in bed for the rest of my life!
And the ortho dentist also gave me a psychological evaluation by stating that I had psychological overlay and there was really nothing wrong with me. ! Their other ime doctor named every single thing that was wrong with me and the insurance company did not like that opinion. So they sent me to this quack. That was back in 2014 And they gave me a permanency rating of 50% I just had surgery. L5 S1 Fusion SI joint Fusion left side and I still have to get the right side done. Oh, but their doctors have been saying there's nothing wrong with me at all. Nothing wrong with my spine. That it's all muscle! Someone needs to investigate this and shut these people down. They are really hurting people!
Worked the department of corrections for 7 years they are doing the same thing have a case pending against the state. I’m in the same shoes different pain.
@ 3:45 is the kicker, "fair and lawful" manner. We know the laws for the most part do not protect the citizenship.

Everything here said typical Work Comp. Don't believe me. Just read all the cases. Work Com cripples more the victim. The law needs to change. Write to the guys that make the laws. The work comp benefits only the doctors, the attorneys. The victim gets nothing, they just pay to drug you up to mitigate the pain. Don't get hurt at work. if you see hazards, report it and say on the report fix the hazard because I don't want to hurt and hurt twice by the workcomp

It is not onli in Michigan in Georgia I am going thru the exact same thing! The lobbist for the insurance companies corrupt healthcare. Thank "God" for my Primary Care physician.
There is a trucking company in Saugatuck Mi that REFUSES medical treatment when someone is hurt, one driver broke an ankle and the report's disappear. They'll even call your doctor and say they are work comp agents to get your medical records. Everyone usually has 6 mth additional disability benefits, but these guy's only offer a 3 months policy and their agent won't increase it. They know it takes 6 months for Social Security so they try to force you to work. They even write the doctor and lie about your job description to try and get the dr to release you back to work. When you do get back to work your seniority and benefits start over as if you are a new employee, even losing holiday pay and paid vacation.
And what they do with your paycheck is screwed with too. They try to claim an 8 day week to lessen their tax liabilities. They constantly lie to unemployment so employees won't get it no matter how much proof you have for your case.
The irony is that they say they are Christian. I believe the Bible says master's should treat their employees as they would treat Jesus and worker's work as on to the Lord... "keep the faith people and keep on keeping on"

I was in a truck accident at work 4 herniating disc I need two surgeries I’m waiting for approval from the insurance company I want to one of those IME The doctor says I’m not injured now I have to wait for a hearing for the compensation judge to order them to allow my surgery when I have three doctors tell me I need surgery but IME cut my benefits off and I have no money coming work for the company for 20 years and compensation cut me off While I’m in agony with a herniated disc pressing on my nerves
actually its not just WC docs. When I had my TBI, all the gods of medicine said I was fine---could even drive when I couldn't see straight and didn't have adequate control over my arms and legs...i couldn't even sit unaided..
I know all to well about the paid off doctors, mine told me i was screwed and to get a job that only requires the use of one arm and ive got to go back to him again in about a week so he can relesase me and the onsurance company can just cut me loose with a right arm i can barely touch my face with
get a lawyer and fight for your future if not you wont have a good one

im dealing with WCB ( work safe ) since 2016 .there pulling same shit on me .4 surgerys already , shoulder replaced and now its worse
I can tell you stories about it of what they did to me, thank God I had my us congressman involved and it was a great help.
I also have a case from 6.5 years ago. I have changed 3 lawyers so far. I am 100% sure that all the lawyers I have hired so far in this period of 6.5 years have received bribes from the insurance company from the beginning.
Are all workers' camp lawyers corrupt? Can we hire an employment lawyer for this case, outside of Workers' Comp, who will charge more?

I am going through the same exact thing right now i haul livestock and a 2,000lb bull rammed a gate in the trailer and slammed it into my head and shoulder knocked me out its been 6 months since i was initially diagnosed with a scalpal contusion and a forearm.contusion worked 27 more days til i got off the road started blackijg out and having memory loss problems anger issues and all kinds of shit worker comp accepted a medical only compensation claim but has yet to cover medical cost and hes told my treating doctors not to treat me i went to the ime's and so far one of the two has agreed with me which is rare but worker comp is one of the biggest scams in this country financially i heard 80% or more claims get denied thats bullshit what exactly are employers paying for if they dont feel the need to provide the insurance coverage that they're being paid to

We need socialized medicine where if you are unhealthy you get medical care not matter what. Canada has socialized health care and they pay half as much as us per capita. They don't waste health care money on lawyers. You just get care no matter who's fault.

Okay compliance with the law. That's the operative phrase is. So change has to start there First! The LAW, compliance with the law. There is Power in compliance with the law. How do we fight those who will interfere with changing the laws ? So Insurance companies will throw money at the politicians to vote in their favor. We the people are not running the country by voting. Companies and politicians are. What incentives do politicians have to do right? Are there laws in existence that can be use as leverage to effect changing of another law. I mean if you can't go thru a window try a door. If you can't get it one way, try another. Look how they got Al Capone. He thought he was untouchable. They found another way. They're are probably other laws that can be used as leverage to provoke the change needed for laws you want. I mean use what you got, to get what you want. It's your job , to find away no matter how hard it evades itself from you. Hit them where it hurts.
