I’m a disabled military veteran that looks fine but I have Rheumatoid arthritis, Gout, and mental illness. It's controlled by medicine and God. I was working all my life but it got so bad last year I had to quit my job. You wouldn't know I had these problems by looking at me. I currently receive my VA disability check every month. Without God using it to help me I couldn't afford my house and my two cars. I’m barely able to pay now. I’m currently trying for SSDI. Not everyone that looks fine is fine.

Not only did Joe Biden fail to reduce prices, “Bidenomics” has made inflation worse. My neighbor really needs disability. His health is so bad I don’t expect him to live a lot longer. Yet, he’s been trying to get disability for 4 years! It’s a screwed up system for sure!
i get $4500 in disability and im physically healthy, i am not blind, i just have mental problems. i am depressed all the time and i believe things that are untrue. the government thinks i need the money but i do not want it. i cannot give it away because my guardian keeps it. i want to die and end the stipulation.
Hidden disabilities are too often misjudged. You can't see heart problems, you can't see asthma, you can't see an artificial limb sometimes. You also can not SEE PTSD.
Not ALL disability can be seen, and no one owes you an explanation on their disability...that's why their are LAWS against asking someone about it. And blasting them on TV because you want people to be mad at the sick people, while you make great money, just because you presented the news.
Just because you see someone driving a new vehicle, dressing nice, and parking in a handicap parking spot does not mean they are scamming the system. I drive a new truck, dress nice, and park in handicap parking at times if I’m hurting. I use a cane if I’m hurting really bad or if I know I’ll be walking for a bit. I don’t look disabled most the time because I don’t like to show my pain; but I’ve had 19 surgeries since 1993 and I’m actually getting ready for neck surgery to replace a torn disc. I’m medically retired LE with a pension and getting my ssdi. Just recently someone yelled at me for not looking physically handicapped...I politely responded that they didn’t look mentally handicapped but I wasn’t calling them out on it.
I experience the same situation, I am a VA disabled veteran! When I park my $110,000.00 Lexus. Or, I'm at the marina on my 44 foot sailboat. I got tired of the American ungrateful and jealous mentality, and moved to a beachfront house in Central America! Jeasouly blinds people to the fact, that I served 21 years, and participated in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Good riddance, ungrateful nation!

I had a guy (thought he was a friend) go on a rant about people on welfare living better than he did. I was agreeing with him on what he was saying, when he pointed out that I was driving a really nice truck while on disability. I asked him what he meant. He said I was using taxpayers money to pay for my house, truck, and wife’s car. I asked him if he thought I was on ssi; because ssdi isn’t taxpayers money, it’s money taken from my check every payday. He said that he knew I was getting paid monthly from the state. I told him he was sadly mistaken. My monthly checks were coming from my medical retirement pension, not from state disability. My vehicles were bought while I was working 60+ hours a week, and were paid off with the work comp settlement after I was forced out on medical retirement. At the time of that conversation, I was still fighting for my ssdi. It took six years and lots of stress before I was awarded my ssdi; and even then, I still had people get mad at the fact I bought my wife and I brand new off the lot vehicles. Like any of this is anyone’s concern.
They mostly do it to people that have obvious scams going on. Like somebody who says they’re blind but they’re out driving a car or somebody who puts down on their application that they can’t lift anything at all or they can’t walk and they’re out in the yard chopping wood. It’s more stuff like that. Because I have multiple sclerosis and I’ve had 14 surgeries on my hip in the last three years. I’ve had people ask me why I can’t just do a sit down job. Well it’s not that easy when you have to sit on your hip and with MS you can have severe pain one day and not be able to get out of bed and that could last a day to forever if I don’t get treatment. But I have to say the worst part of my disability is the depression and nobody sees that. That came after my surgeries because over the three years of having those surgeries my car wasn’t moved then I lost it. And now since Social Security thinks that we don’t need enough money to live on I can’t even afford to get a beat up car to drive around just to go to the store and to doctors appointments. I have to look for people to take me and if anybody thinks that that’s fun being on social security then you’re totally crazy. I honestly don’t know why anybody would wanna be on Social Security as a fraud unless they’re working under the table or something. But to sit inside my house and stare at four walls all the time makes depressed lol. And when I go to stores it’s not even me driving but if we park in handicap they look at the driver they don’t care what I look like but it’s for me not for them. And we still get judged whether I have a walker or a cane with me, it doesn’t matter they still judge me. And that makes you more depressed. Anyway I’ve ranted long enough I’m sorry for you guys and thank you for your service. My son is in the Army National Guard and he’s working for the government now doing IT. God bless you all

I’m sure you still have disability after the 19 surgeries, I know because after my 14 I’ve had multiple problems. I know this was a year ago. I didn’t know that when I was writing my comment but I do now so that’s why I’m hoping you’re all healed. And who cares what people say because when you get that lump sum settlement that’s enough to buy a car right there. Mine was only five months after five months I was approved so I didn’t have a big lump sum now I lost my car and because they don’t give me much money every month I can’t even get a new one so I have to rely on everybody else. so God bless you And your family, I hope you’re doing well.
They should. My father is a service connected disabled vet who is blind. When he goes to the doctor and they exam his eyes, they can see where he has lost vision.
there have been cases where the doctor was involved in the fraud, so in cahoots, they try to pass it off as being disabled past years and hope to get a big backpay.
People on disability make 10 to 14,000 $ a year.75 % of working people make over 30,000 a year.the gov.wants people to work.but they dont want you to work.and get mad at disabled people for working some.people work on disabity to better themselves.and live better because 800$ a month is impossible to live on
I fought TEN years, my kids and I nearly homeless, and by the time I was approved, I had more diagnoses, was even worse physically and mentally. If they had approved me to begin with, I probably would have recovered and be able to be working again right now. I hate how people cheat. I know people who have "won" and jet set to Vegas by plane to gamble or to NY from GA and ride the top of the trolley bus on their vacation. It infuriates me. And when you got a whole flipping family.... like husband and wife and then a kid on SSI, that is a red flag. I had to go through hell. I had ample medical records and still had to apply a total of three times, be denied all three, appeal the last two times, and finally....... they listened. Now I'm ruined. I am afraid I will never recover. I worked from age 13 to 48. They act like the puny amount I get is my life's dream over my former executive salary and company car. Their treatment of me drove me nearly insane.
@@diane7352 -Same here! Got in front of a Judge after 7 yrs and 10 minutes later he apologized with what I had to go through, thanked Me for My service and approved My claim. He also apologized that He could only give Me 2 years back pay.
My step daughter is one of the fakers. Thank goodness she keeps getting denied! All her kids were fake disabled to support her, but they are grown up and she can't collect anymore!
so the cure for emotional problems is to say that they cant work. then that leaves them just sitting around doing nothing all day everyday which leaves you feeling completely unfulfilled in life which just adds to your emotional problems. hey we all struggle in this world that we live in. it is a grind. but you still have to get up and go to work
Why don't you report on the thousands of veterans who die waiting, while VA drags the disability claims process out for years! Or, how VA denies or low-balls legitimate claims of disabled veterans. Thus, VA has saved tax payers millions of dollars annually.
@@GregMets2345 Some jobs for sure but I don't know anyone who would hire a person that has a field of view 20 feet or less while wearing corrective glasses. "Legally blind" is not a medical term, only a legal one. There are government benefits out there for everyone that is legally blind. Interesting subject.
I know a girl who remarried her ex husband so he could get a higher disable Vet payment and she could use his medical benefits. She was also trying to get SSDI and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her besides she’s a con artist.
Then she's not getting disability. I've been through the process with metastatic cancer....my care is palliative and there's no cure. It took 13 months and an attorney with a 3-inch file before a judge for me to get a fully favorable ruling.
🤷what she is doing isn't even a scam though especially by marrying her ex-husband..also it's hard to get SSDI even if something is wrong with you for the most part.

I see people pulling into the handicap spot all the time in new Escalades and dressed nice.I made good money as a truck driver but now disabled and driving a 7 year old pickup truck.what am I doing wrong?
Your only mistake is being honest. The others have to look over their shoulders every time they park to see if someone's watching them or filming them. At any moment a police officer could step up to them and their life is ruined. Today, You are driving an old pickup and they have a new car. Tomorrow, you will still driving your pickup.
When you been in the military 21 years, been in combat, and become disabled. Why shouldn't you drive a car you earned! Unfortunately, so many Americans suffer from jealousy.
Just because you're rated as disable by the VA doesn't mean you'll get SSDI from Social Security. They have to go through the same process as anyone else and have the documention.

When I was a kid there was this guy in the shop class he didn't want to get into grease so he said everything was too heavy. He was caught holding a sledge hammer out in the air by the tip of the handle with one hand looking at it. Later on he didn't want to deal with some big parts at work he said they were too heavy. His manager for some weird reason was looking at npc shows on the internet and he got caught.
@@pamelajackson69no he did not have a license. He could not pass the driving vision test. His vision was 20/400 in his better eye with glasses. He could see fuzzy fingers at five inches.
In some instances blind people are allowed to drive in certain circumstances (like only being allowed to drive during the day, or for short distances.) Not all vision impairments constitute complete inability to see. Low vision is a thing and still considered legal blindness. Dont pester or make accusations if you don't know the persons situation.
social security is direct deposited or put on a debit card, if they mail checks, it is very rare...so a relative getting mail is NORMAL and NOT indicative of SS fraud. funeral homes are supposed to report directly to SSA.
Outside of the rural south you can barely get by on 800$ a month.but most states in usa like new york and most of the west coast average rent is 2,000 $ a month.but a person living in new york on 800$ disability has to work on the side to survive.800$ wont pay rent in most states
The social security is notified by funeral home immediately. I have dealt with this with my mom, stepfather, and husband. They have stopped payments and taken back any monies that was not due to them in that partial or fullmonth. My mother died on the 17th of January 2019 . The social security wanted to get half the money back but let my stepfather keep it for her funeral expense. Of course there was no money in her account for them to grab. But then when it was a year and a half later my mom got a stimulus check from the federal government ,that I immediately wrote on deceast and sent back. Someone somewhere is definately isn't communicating.
People parking in Disabled Spots without a Permit shouldn't just get a Ticket with a Fine to pay! The price of their Auto Insurance should also go up due to their wreckless behavior (it's wrong, but they don't care).
If he’s says he’s blind where is his service dog or any kind of help. I’m paralyzed I can’t use a lawn mower or drive a car. I Workout but I’m not lifting 100 lbs and competing in bodybuilding shows. I’m a I’m a incomplete quadriplegic I was a full quadriplegic but I would go to therapy and work hard to get mobility for myself but watching this pisses me off. I had reported 2 people years ago. What I understand they still getting their benefits? I still knows others cheating the system.. Why wasted my time to report them? They don't do crap...
I know people who got ssi and she got alimony and sis. She didn't report it. She also got A lot money and didn't report. She go to the casino and buy and buy. Then the other one work under the table working 500.00 a week, plus got ssi. Her children live with her and she ask for 500.00 a month from her children. They also have her son with a calf. Driver lics not marry to the women and got six kids. Go figure that one. This world is a mess.
To play devils advocate: People can't live on SSI alone, and 500 a week is not enough to support a family. How else are people going to survive? Plus in California, everything is at least twice as expensive.
The cases of disability fraud is super tiny. Only A tiny fraction of cases. What pisses me off is that some people PAY doctors to write (false) letters. Too may people are too gd lazy. (age 65 now) My disability/retirement soc sec amounts to 975./month. They use the cost of living figures from 1983 and they have never been updated. In 1983 you could live on 975. a month. Today you can't.
Disability Cheats, like anyone else who steals, should be put in prison if they cannot afford to pay their total debt. For example, if someone steals $200K from Taxpayers & is unable to pay the Government back, the first thing to do is take any assets the person owns including their house, bank accounts, vehicles, etc until the debt is paid. In this case if the person's total assets totaled $175K, then they'd have to 'pay' off the debt with wage garnishment. If the cheater has no assets, JAIL....simple as that. I was always taught, if you want 'things', WORK .
Both my daughters are disabled. One has bipolar and severe learning disability the other has major issues she had pelvic prolapse and after the surgery kenaf’s syndrome and she had to leave the marine corp after ten yrs she wanted to retire. I’m disabled and I adopted my grandson from the bipolar daughter as she abandoned him so he gets some of my ssi. The only 2 that aren’t is my 21 yr old grandson and 5 yr old granddaughter. It’s crazy as we all want to live together but can’t because our incomes are to low to rent or buy a home for all of us so we can help each other out. Only two of us drive and both have used vehicles. I took all my stimulus to get everything in my car fixed so nothing is wrong with it. People just don’t realize how bad someone is being bipolar. I took custody and had to adopt my youngest daughter son at a year old and he’s 7 now.
When I see people that are able to do normal things day after day it angers me. Being disabled doesn’t mean we don’t have good days. It’s hard for me to carry groceries I have a cart I use and I’m not able to push a lawn mower. I’m not suppose to lift anything that’s heavy but some days have no one to help and I have to ask for help. How the hell can you drive being blind? I was on a cane for a long time. I still have them and cancel Dr appts if I’m having a bad day. How can these people walk around And not feel guilt?
My daughter was disabled one half of her heart worked at 10% and she had mental illness, but she love to go out side, she wanted to mow and I told her no, but she went ahead and made a couple of rows, that was on Thursday on Monday morning she was in pain and could't breath she died later that morning, she was 33.
Nobody lives the high life on social security disability. The average payment is around 1500 bucks a month. It’s around 941 a month for SSI. Try living on that.

Services building did not notify you by letter or a phone call but a perpetrator is taking control of your money and who signed the paperwork without your knowledge can you explain this detail can you explain you've never had a payee trustee or a caregiver of any kind but they sit there and made you look incompetent by giving false information to the government the Human Services building in Portland how do you explain a live by a worker covering up the truth at Human Services by the name of Miss Gonzales who claimed that my daughter said that quote-unquote mommy would be mad at me if she knew how would you feel if someone did not notify you and made you look and confident as if you can't handle your own bills or your own affairs but if a mother is disabled and she can handle taking care of her bills then why what's a trustee why was the trustee lying to her mother did not tell her the truth about any of the above and left her in the dark the mother has not received payment from her well-being benefits apparently but being used by Family siblings also gave away two properties in a bunch of money to other people prakash money including a fake and phony lawyer that did not know the laws and got pissed off because I did not sign my beneficiary estate papers she got pissed and started to Gavin about it around Happy Valley stating how she stole all the money she was drinking on it how she bought a house and how she had bought brand new clothes and stuff for her daughter and son and did not notify her mother that she is using her mother's benefits without telling her by committing fraud and misleading the government the only way she would have gotten those benefits is his deeds using a birth certificate and a social security number that is not hers Miss Gonzales knows the Portland address of the person who's using someone else's identity and has been in jail herself for impersonating other people's identities he has committed fraud from what Multnomah County had stated about about not telling the original client nor did she notify the client of what was going on by no letter no phone call the client was left in the dark about her own stolen identity and social security number that had to be showing in order for a sibling to get ahold of benefits and state they are taking care of the well-being of their mother claiming their the caregiver and payee but wasn't depriving the state by telling false accusations against the mother in slander this mother has handled her own affair she has a letter from the government stating all bills are paid in full plus Department of Revenue which somebody has interviewed to stealing unemployment backgrounds as well in Salem Oregon giving somebody else's unemployment background to a sibling and did not tell the mother also spending Allstate benefit papers back to Spokane Washington without telling the mother or notifying her including someone calling doctors that she goes to to make her look like she's Crumley been in jail and has not so the mother's doctor decided to treat her like a criminal and accuse her of lying about infections including asking for help on a cesarean C-section infection but someone changing out the medical files to State the mother is not allergic to all penicillin but is how are you going to stop a homicide killing of a disabled mother who does not deserve that and can handle her own bills and is very independent for herself she has helped others so who's told her independent unemployment background this don't make sense when unemployment office covers of the truth stating her social security number does not exist in the unemployment work resource how do you explain the cover-up where they gave the unemployment background to someone else to impersonate the mother's background can you explain all the Frog that's going on here and the forgery on paperwork and not checking the handwriting or the organ ID to make sure that she is the right individual and if you don't have the proper Oregon ID number off the Oregon ID card and you mix up all the people that have the same names how would you feel when they're giving away everything on your background that you've done in your life erasing all your transcripts when you started working job training Rehabilitation papers someone has been using the mother's disability to harass her and victimize her by a hate crime and she does live in Happy Valley but no one seems to give a damn about the mother all they care about is being selfish and spending the money of a disability mom who didn't know anything about it that was left in the dark her sister who worked for the state didn't give a damn about her own sister but abandoned her rights and abandon her because of embarrassment because she's different because of her husband getting away with what he did to disability mother's children giving them drugs and didn't seem to care about how the mother felt except upset her her sister doesn't care whether her husband kills her kids while he gives them methamphetamines and used his friends to put her daughter on the streets she trusted her sister to taking and keeping her kids safe but instead authorization it is pride when they did not tell her so miss Gonzales has helped commit fraud through human services did not notify the mother with the letter nor did she notify her with phone but she verbally abusive Lee yelled the mother thinking she knew about the papers thinking she knew about somebody handling her Affair without telling her how would she know if she was not notified by letter or phone by a state worker they stole all of her background state disability papers they used her for everything under the sun leaving her to die in the streets and she will do this because no one understand that you have verbally abused and neglected her rights if she dies of a homicide killing because of you in the state because you took advantage of her and took it for granted and abandoned her rights because of her sisters drug-dealing husband got away with giving everything under the sun to killing her kids and a mother left to die with nothing who is disabled herself abandonment by a family who's embarrassed other mother because of her own siblings being embarrassed of her by a hate crime of discrimination racial because she's different set everybody that comes along just uses her no worse than a bunch of stick workers not listening who needs accommodation she paid her taxes and this is what you lazy selfish people do to a disabled mother treat her like trash because her brother said he was in the military his cousins were in the military not the kids's uncle he used other people to lie for him to get military benefits and the mothers isn't a predator of children it It's really sad because people that are really are disabled get look down on my old manager at my old job that was 32 years old is diabetic and he went blind at 42 years old and lost his job now unemployment & SSI will not help him because they think that it's fraud & Said you worked for for 28 years you can look for new work how can someone work blind
Disability benefits are based on your percentage of disability ,if you were making 1000 dollars a week working and your illness puts you on disability and they find your 50 percent disabled you’ll get approximately 500 dollars a week not working.your percent of disability is determined by a disability doctor or a judge will take your doctor’s report into consideration when your case goes before him or her.

my ex sister in law got SSDI and she is not disabled. She went into her hearing with a cane & now that she got her lump sum $30,000 & her monthly checks she never uses a cane. Not only that but she was trying to get a photography business going while she was applying (even had a FB page till right before her hearing)..
Lump sums werent available when i finally won my case. It was spaced out over 6 months. And only one was 4000 that i used to buy a car for my daughter to get me to my dr and other app.
My wife (a doctor) says that she get so many requests to sign disability forms and when she refuses, these fraudsters are threatening to sue the doctor. If you can't run a system properly, abolish these benefits. Tax payers should pay the ultimate price.
Your comment is offensive to every veteran that served to protect you. First, you don’t need to go overseas to qualify for VA disability. Secondly, every veteran who is service connected has a nexus between a current disability and a in service event. They had to prove their disability was caused or aggravated by service. Anyone whose not blind can see the man pushing a lawn mower is NOT blind. There are degrees of visually impaired, but this man was claiming to be blind. As far as themedical reports are concerned, these investigative reporters do have outside medical professionals they consult for these type stories. My neighbor really needs disability. His health is so bad I don’t expect him to live a lot longer. Yet, he’s been trying to get disability for 4 years! It’s a screwed up system for sure!

i get $4500 in disability and im physically healthy, i am not blind, i just have mental problems. i am depressed all the time and i believe things that are untrue. the government thinks i need the money but i do not want it. i cannot give it away because my guardian keeps it. i want to die and end the stipulation.

Some people are considered legally blind, but have some sight.
Hidden disabilities are too often misjudged. You can't see heart problems, you can't see asthma, you can't see an artificial limb sometimes. You also can not SEE PTSD.
Not ALL disability can be seen, and no one owes you an explanation on their disability...that's why their are LAWS against asking someone about it. And blasting them on TV because you want people to be mad at the sick people, while you make great money, just because you presented the news.
Just because you see someone driving a new vehicle, dressing nice, and parking in a handicap parking spot does not mean they are scamming the system. I drive a new truck, dress nice, and park in handicap parking at times if I’m hurting. I use a cane if I’m hurting really bad or if I know I’ll be walking for a bit. I don’t look disabled most the time because I don’t like to show my pain; but I’ve had 19 surgeries since 1993 and I’m actually getting ready for neck surgery to replace a torn disc.
I’m medically retired LE with a pension and getting my ssdi. Just recently someone yelled at me for not looking physically handicapped...I politely responded that they didn’t look mentally handicapped but I wasn’t calling them out on it.
I experience the same situation, I am a VA disabled veteran! When I park my $110,000.00 Lexus. Or, I'm at the marina on my 44 foot sailboat.
I got tired of the American ungrateful and jealous mentality, and moved to a beachfront house in Central America!

I had a guy (thought he was a friend) go on a rant about people on welfare living better than he did. I was agreeing with him on what he was saying, when he pointed out that I was driving a really nice truck while on disability. I asked him what he meant. He said I was using taxpayers money to pay for my house, truck, and wife’s car. I asked him if he thought I was on ssi; because ssdi isn’t taxpayers money, it’s money taken from my check every payday. He said that he knew I was getting paid monthly from the state.
I told him he was sadly mistaken. My monthly checks were coming from my medical retirement pension, not from state disability. My vehicles were bought while I was working 60+ hours a week, and were paid off with the work comp settlement after I was forced out on medical retirement. At the time of that conversation, I was still fighting for my ssdi. It took six years and lots of stress before I was awarded my ssdi; and even then, I still had people get mad at the fact I bought my wife and I brand new off the lot vehicles. Like any of this is anyone’s concern.
They mostly do it to people that have obvious scams going on. Like somebody who says they’re blind but they’re out driving a car or somebody who puts down on their application that they can’t lift anything at all or they can’t walk and they’re out in the yard chopping wood. It’s more stuff like that. Because I have multiple sclerosis and I’ve had 14 surgeries on my hip in the last three years. I’ve had people ask me why I can’t just do a sit down job. Well it’s not that easy when you have to sit on your hip and with MS you can have severe pain one day and not be able to get out of bed and that could last a day to forever if I don’t get treatment. But I have to say the worst part of my disability is the depression and nobody sees that. That came after my surgeries because over the three years of having those surgeries my car wasn’t moved then I lost it. And now since Social Security thinks that we don’t need enough money to live on I can’t even afford to get a beat up car to drive around just to go to the store and to doctors appointments. I have to look for people to take me and if anybody thinks that that’s fun being on social security then you’re totally crazy. I honestly don’t know why anybody would wanna be on Social Security as a fraud unless they’re working under the table or something. But to sit inside my house and stare at four walls all the time makes depressed lol. And when I go to stores it’s not even me driving but if we park in handicap they look at the driver they don’t care what I look like but it’s for me not for them. And we still get judged whether I have a walker or a cane with me, it doesn’t matter they still judge me. And that makes you more depressed. Anyway I’ve ranted long enough I’m sorry for you guys and thank you for your service. My son is in the Army National Guard and he’s working for the government now doing IT. God bless you all

I’m sure you still have disability after the 19 surgeries, I know because after my 14 I’ve had multiple problems. I know this was a year ago. I didn’t know that when I was writing my comment but I do now so that’s why I’m hoping you’re all healed. And who cares what people say because when you get that lump sum settlement that’s enough to buy a car right there. They should. My father is a service connected disabled vet who is blind. When he goes to the doctor and they exam his eyes, they can see where he has lost vision.
there have been cases where the doctor was involved in the fraud, so in cahoots, they try to pass it off as being disabled past years and hope to get a big backpay.

With Social security disability fraud, it’s all based on medical records. Doctors won’t risk their license to falsify documents, however, some may.
I fought TEN years, my kids and I nearly homeless, and by the time I was approved, I had more diagnoses, was even worse physically and mentally. If they had approved me to begin with, I probably would have recovered and be able to be working again right now. I hate how people cheat. I know people who have "won" and jet set to Vegas by plane to gamble or to NY from GA and ride the top of the trolley bus on their vacation. It infuriates me. And when you got a whole flipping family.... like husband and wife and then a kid on SSI, that is a red flag. I had to go through hell. I had ample medical records and still had to apply a total of three times, be denied all three, appeal the last two times, and finally....... they listened. Now I'm ruined. I am afraid I will never recover. I worked from age 13 to 48. They act like the puny amount I get is my life's dream over my former executive salary and company car. Their treatment of me drove me nearly insane.

"Legally blind" is not a medical term, only a legal one. There are government benefits out there for everyone that is legally blind. Interesting subject.
I know a girl who remarried her ex husband so he could get a higher disable Vet payment and she could use his medical benefits. She was also trying to get SSDI and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her besides she’s a con artist.
Then she's not getting disability. I've been through the process with metastatic cancer....my care is palliative and there's no cure. It took 13 months and an attorney with a 3-inch file before a judge for me to get a fully favorable ruling.
🤷what she is doing isn't even a scam though especially by marrying her ex-husband..also it's hard to get SSDI even if something is wrong with you for the most part.

Just because you're rated as disable by the VA doesn't mean you'll get SSDI from Social Security. They have to go through the same process as anyone else and have the documention.

When I was a kid there was this guy in the shop class he didn't want to get into grease so he said everything was too heavy. He was caught holding a sledge hammer out in the air by the tip of the handle with one hand looking at it. Later on he didn't want to deal with some big parts at work he said they were too heavy. His manager for some weird reason was looking at npc shows on the internet and he got caught.

In some instances blind people are allowed to drive in certain circumstances (like only being allowed to drive during the day, or for short distances.) Not all vision impairments constitute complete inability to see. Low vision is a thing and still considered legal blindness.
Dont pester or make accusations if you don't know the persons situation.

i am a veteran and i walk around. i drive a nice hemi truck too and own a 600k house. i get ssdi and full VA (full VA means the full amount)
social security is direct deposited or put on a debit card, if they mail checks, it is very rare...so a relative getting mail is NORMAL and NOT indicative of SS fraud. funeral homes are supposed to report directly to SSA.

Outside of the rural south you can barely get by on 800$ a month.but most states in usa like new york and most of the west coast average rent is 2,000 $ a month.but a person living in new york on 800$ disability has to work on the side to survive.800$ wont pay rent in most states

The social security is notified by funeral home immediately. I have dealt with this with my mom, stepfather, and husband. They have stopped payments and taken back any monies that was not due to them in that partial or fullmonth. My mother died on the 17th of January 2019 . The social security wanted to get half the money back but let my stepfather keep it for her funeral expense. Of course there was no money in her account for them to grab. But then when it was a year and a half later my mom got a stimulus check from the federal government ,that I immediately wrote on deceast and sent back. Someone somewhere is definately isn't communicating.

I know people who got ssi and she got alimony and sis. She didn't report it. She also got A lot money and didn't report. She go to the casino and buy and buy. Then the other one work under the table working 500.00 a week, plus got ssi. Her children live with her and she ask for 500.00 a month from her children. They also have her son with a calf. Driver lics not marry to the women and got six kids. Go figure that one. This world is a mess.
To play devils advocate: People can't live on SSI alone, and 500 a week is not enough to support a family. How else are people going to survive? Plus in California, everything is at least twice as expensive.

The cases of disability fraud is super tiny. Only A tiny fraction of cases. What pisses me off is that some people PAY doctors to write (false) letters. Too may people are too gd lazy. (age 65 now) My disability/retirement soc sec amounts to 975./month. They use the cost of living figures from 1983 and they have never been updated. In 1983 you could live on 975. a month. Today you can't.

Disability Cheats, like anyone else who steals, should be put in prison if they cannot afford to pay their total debt. For example, if someone steals $200K from Taxpayers & is unable to pay the Government back, the first thing to do is take any assets the person owns including their house, bank accounts, vehicles, etc until the debt is paid. In this case if the person's total assets totaled $175K, then they'd have to 'pay' off the debt with wage garnishment. If the cheater has no assets, JAIL....simple as that. I was always taught, if you want 'things', WORK .

Both my daughters are disabled. One has bipolar and severe learning disability the other has major issues she had pelvic prolapse and after the surgery kenaf’s syndrome and she had to leave the marine corp after ten yrs she wanted to retire. I’m disabled and I adopted my grandson from the bipolar daughter as she abandoned him so he gets some of my ssi. The only 2 that aren’t is my 21 yr old grandson and 5 yr old granddaughter. It’s crazy as we all want to live together but can’t because our incomes are to low to rent or buy a home for all of us so we can help each other out. Only two of us drive and both have used vehicles. I took all my stimulus to get everything in my car fixed so nothing is wrong with it. People just don’t realize how bad someone is being bipolar. I took custody and had to adopt my youngest daughter son at a year old and he’s 7 now.
When I see people that are able to do normal things day after day it angers me. Being disabled doesn’t mean we don’t have good days. It’s hard for me to carry groceries I have a cart I use and I’m not able to push a lawn mower. I’m not suppose to lift anything that’s heavy but some days have no one to help and I have to ask for help. How the hell can you drive being blind? I was on a cane for a long time. I still have them and cancel Dr appts if I’m having a bad day. How can these people walk around

My daughter was disabled one half of her heart worked at 10% and she had mental illness, but she love to go out side, she wanted to mow and I told her no, but she went ahead and made a couple of rows, that was on Thursday on Monday morning she was in pain and could't breath she died later that morning, she was 33.

Portland how do you explain a live by a worker covering up the truth at Human Services by the name of Miss Gonzales who claimed that my daughter said that quote-unquote mommy would be mad at me if she knew how would you feel if someone did not notify you and made you look and confident as if you can't handle your own bills or your own affairs but if a mother is disabled and she can handle taking care of her bills then why what's a trustee why was the trustee lying to her mother did not tell her the truth about any of the above and left her in the dark the mother has not received payment from her well-being benefits apparently but being used by Family siblings also gave away two properties in a bunch of money to other people prakash money including a fake and phony lawyer that did not know the laws and got pissed off because I did not sign my beneficiary estate papers she got pissed and started to Gavin about it around Happy Valley stating how she stole all the money she was drinking on it how she bought a house and how she had bought brand new clothes and stuff for her daughter and son and did not notify her mother that she is using her mother's benefits without telling her by committing fraud and misleading the government the only way she would have gotten those benefits is his deeds using a birth certificate and a social security number that is not hers Miss Gonzales knows the Portland address of the person who's using someone else's identity and has been in jail herself for impersonating other people's identities he has committed fraud from what Multnomah County had stated about about not telling the original client nor did she notify the client of what was going on by no letter no phone call the client was left in the dark about her own stolen identity and social security number that had to be showing in order for a sibling to get ahold of benefits and state they are taking care of the well-being of their mother claiming their the caregiver and payee but wasn't depriving the state by telling false accusations against the mother in slander this mother has handled her own affair she has a letter from the government stating all bills are paid in full plus Department of Revenue which somebody has interviewed to stealing unemployment backgrounds as well in Salem Oregon giving somebody else's unemployment background to a sibling and did not tell the mother also spending Allstate benefit papers back to Spokane Washington without telling the mother or notifying her including someone calling doctors that she goes to to make her look like she's Crumley been in jail and has not so the mother's doctor decided to treat her like a criminal and accuse her of lying about infections including asking for help on a cesarean C-section infection but someone changing out the medical files to State the mother is not allergic to all penicillin but is how are you going to stop a homicide killing of a disabled mother who does not deserve that and can handle her own bills and is very independent for herself she has helped others so who's told her independent unemployment background this don't make sense when unemployment office covers of the truth stating her social security number does not exist in the unemployment work resource how do you explain the cover-up where they gave the unemployment background to someone else to impersonate the mother's background can you explain all the Frog that's going on here and the forgery on paperwork and not checking the handwriting or the organ ID to make sure that she is the right individual and if you don't have the proper Oregon ID number off the Oregon ID card and you mix up all the people that have the same names how would you feel when they're giving away everything on your background that you've done in your life erasing all your transcripts when you started working job training Rehabilitation papers someone has been using the mother's disability to harass her and victimize her by a hate crime and she does live in Happy Valley but no one seems to give a damn about the mother all they care about is being selfish and spending the money of a disability mom who didn't know anything about it that was left in the dark her sister who worked for the state didn't give a damn about her own sister but abandoned her rights and abandon her because of embarrassment because she's different because of her husband getting away with what he did to disability mother's children giving them drugs and didn't seem to care about how the mother felt except upset her her sister doesn't care whether her husband kills her kids while he gives them methamphetamines and used his friends to put her daughter on the streets she trusted her sister to taking and keeping her kids safe but instead she couldn't because she allowed her husband to give that to a disabled mother's children then told her children to tell the state that the mother gave them drugs the mother has never gave her authorization it is pride when they did not tell her so miss Gonzales has helped commit fraud through human services did not notify the mother with the letter nor did she notify her with phone but she verbally abusive Lee yelled the mother thinking she knew about the papers thinking she knew about somebody handling her Affair without telling her how would she know if she was not notified by letter or phone by a state worker they stole all of her background state disability papers they used her for everything under the sun leaving her to die in the streets and she will do this because no one understand that you have verbally abused and neglected her rights if she dies of a homicide killing because of you in the state because you took advantage of her and took it for granted and abandoned her rights because of her sisters drug-dealing husband got away with giving everything under the sun to killing her kids and a mother left to die with nothing who is disabled herself abandonment by a It's really sad because people that are really are disabled get look down on my old manager at my old job that was 32 years old is diabetic and he went blind at 42 years old and lost his job now unemployment & SSI will not help him because they think that it's fraud & Said you worked for for 28 years you can look for new work how can someone work blind

Disability benefits are based on your percentage of disability ,if you were making 1000 dollars a week working and your illness puts you on disability and they find your 50 percent disabled you’ll get approximately 500 dollars a week not working.your percent of disability is determined by a disability doctor or a judge will take your doctor’s report into consideration when your case goes before him or her.
That is not how SSDI works at all. There is no percentage of disability. You are either ruled disabled or not disabled.

my ex sister in law got SSDI and she is not disabled. She went into her hearing with a cane & now that she got her lump sum $30,000 & her monthly checks she never uses a cane. Not only that but she was trying to get a photography business going while she was applying (even had a FB page till right before her hearing)..
Lump sums werent available when i finally won my case. It was spaced out over 6 months. And only one was 4000 that i used to buy a car for my daughter to get me to my dr and other app.

My wife (a doctor) says that she get so many requests to sign disability forms and when she refuses, these fraudsters are threatening to sue the doctor. If you can't run a system properly, abolish these benefits. Tax payers should pay the ultimate price.
