We need a update of your candy cane
Wow that grew fast😮
I wish I can buy live plants from california carnivores where i live but only seeds are available to me.
I only have a small typical with an incoming B52 in 2days or so.
That vft looks great too wish I can get myself one!
Of course its infected with the CC obiquous and ever present and nasty THREAD MOSS
Ah, dang. That stinks. The thread moss isn't that bad, just needs a hair cut!
@@CarnivorousPlantsHubJust a few snips then its back to normal! Sometimes moss does not even grow where I live😅
Good morning. Thank you for your videos. Quick question. I live in Upstate NY. Should I be keeping carnivorous plants in my fridge for the winter so they go dormant? I've read that a lot. Thank you 😁
You don't have to use the fridge method. You can keep them outside but you have to overwinter them and make sure they are very insulated. They don't need much light when it's under 30 degrees.
None of the Candy Canes or Bullseyes I've seen appear to have trigger hairs (or maybe I just can't see them). That's probably why the traps aren't trapping.
You are correct! Mine has not triggered at all.
They look interesting and some look like how I would describe it as mutated (how curious looking they are) they grown a lot.
Yes! Really strange looking traps!
I'm definitely considering getting one of those! They grow very fast too. I have a video idea too, I think you should show all your plants before dormancy. That would be a very long video lol, but if you have the time, I think it would be interesting to see all your plants!
Thats actually something I was already planning. A pre dormancy run down of all my plants right now. It's almost time to expand as I'm running out of room!
Please make more videos on how to grow indoors. more complete videos please!
For a butterwort how deep / wide does the pot have to be if it is just sitting on the top soil? 💖
Not very. They have tiny root systems. Probably and inch of soil at most.
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub Thx! Wasn’t expecting such a fast reply lol. But while I have you what parts of sphagnum moss and perlite do you think would be good for this type of plant? 💚
I'd go 1 part peat and 1 part perlite. And my pleasure!
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub Your so nice! Thx for responding! 💖
I'm using rain water for my 1 year old venus flytrap plant. Is it okay if I use rain water?
Yes
hey btw candy cane is my fav venes flytrap all time
It's a great flytrap!
wow that grew quickly!
They sure did! I was shocked when I looked at the unboxing video!
In my area, during November to February, temperatures go from 65 degrees highest, to 43 lowest. Where/what should I do to put my flytraps in dormancy?
43 isn't that cold, they can tolerate way colder.
@@dabombcreator Thanks... but my flytrap already died after i forgot to water it for a week
@@Noobston2 Sorry, good excuse to buy another though 👍
Very cool looking 😊
Thank you!
