We watch Larsen Farms every time their is a post and I watch yours. Will have to have my husband watch this one for sure as he is in earthmoving and will enjoy seeing the excavator.
Your yard will recover before you realize it Amy! It will be beautiful! Dougo is at home in his 2nd home...that excavator cab! Ya'll are blessed! Be safe...stay calm and carry on!
@@amysblessingsto answer your confusion missus L, that trailer big Swede is pulling behind the case tractor is basically like a dump truck without the truck
Dougo's a surgeon with the 320. He could probably pick up a pencil and write a nasty gram to the DNR with the thing. The pillars as far as finishing them. I don't know if it would fit into the style of the house, but I like to wrap them in lumber. Some log siding or cedar or pine boards/wraps of some type. Northern MN, you will see a lot of log finishes on pillars - gives it a warm look if you will, especially on a lake. Or you could take the crew's busted snowmobile parts and glue them on.
I’m a big fan of your family!! Just a suggestion about your post a day or so ago!! It concerns the mulch around your flower beds and trees! Take your leaves and dead branches create a compost pile and replace the bought mulch with free stuff!! There’s much information available online!! And compost is a great soil builder!! As for as life things, “Just keep pulling your load” The Lord will help your family!! I know for I lost my wife in 2013!! I’m still dealing with things!! But God is my Pilot!! The grave only contains the remains!! Your soul contains and preserves the memories!! God’s richest blessings be yours
Those cedars looked like poodle tails. It was time to go. If your making an omlett you gotta crack some eggs. Between Dougo and tge Big Swede you got it covered.
Chet mentioned you need rain in the area and it does look very dry for June. I'm praying you get the moisture you need for a successful growing seasosn. Thanks for the video Mrs. Larson.
Late comment. I think your columns look good the way they are, It gives contrast to texture and color. In my opinion more stone would be too much. Like your videos, you have a wonderful family.
Courage , Courage is something we could all have a little more of . The yard will look great when your finished. I see so much of Chet when I listen to Amy .
We wrapped our columns with Hardie board so it looks like they're wrapped with wood but it doesn't deteriorate with moisture the other thing you could do is put outdoor tiles on it. I build an outdoor shower on my house which is a finished yet
Look at it like this its going to be nice in the end . barn wood round your pillars would go nice up and down length wise dark coloured brown 👌 spot on
On your pillars I’ve seen it done it looks really good if you go stone like a Waynes coat up to about 4 feet and then colored stucco all the way up to the ceiling and have lighting shining on the pillars down but it’s too late now but it would look really cool
Amy, Before you know it your yard will be finished and be Amazing🤗 I realize you have waited a long time to see your vision come to fruition. It is coming along, it will get there one day👍 Just REMEMBER the saying Rome wasn't built in ah day, keep telling yourself that. Thank You for the update. So Love the memorial garden with the rose bush bloomed🤗
I need that courage. We have to remodel our kitchen to repair storm damage and I am overwhelmed and just stuck. But hubby suggested a new wall full of cabinets which I desperately need for storage and that seems to be acting as motivation. 🤞
You could do some wrought iron facings on the porch posts...or do a stone veneer on them partway up....perhaps a accent decoration on each of them.... just to breakup how plain they appear....
hi amy,Dougo,i find that yard work is never done but dont know if want it to be i guess it can be done,ok amy take breaks and dougo to,i always do bye for now Amy..
Thanks for another great video Amy. It was interesting and enjoyable. Wow. Getting all those trees out of the yard that got destroyed with the winter is a big project. Doug is going after them with the digger one after another. Will look nice once you have it redone and smoothed over. You have a mess at first but once you redo the area it will look great. Nice work everyone. Thanks for showing us what you are doing with the yard. Have a good day. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
I thought you were going to cover the columns with stone since you completed the stone wall down there. Whatever you decide will be be great I just know... Thanks Amy for sharing Dougo in his natural habitat (destruction mode) hehehe. Till next time Love & Peace...
Hi Amy! I would cover the columns with the same rock and use the same colors with Nature stone and cover the floor with that. You might be able to put the Nature stone on the columns too. Nature stone is a brand, there are other brands that are cheaper.
I've seen people use tile on concrete pillars. Either an artistic scene or just a pattern tile. Just a thought. ruclips.net/video/zfruAw0ywr0/видео.html ruclips.net/video/PK5Z6GfKw1I/видео.html ruclips.net/video/70BRgQqavQ4/видео.html
Amy we enjoyed what you had to say. Thank you for your very encouraging words. 👍❤️🙏
Love watching you will love it when he gets done Amy. Want to wish Dougo a Happy Father's day !!!❤
Dougo needs his own channel! Good thing Chet bought that big, ugly green dump trailer. It has really been useful!
Great point about courage!
I think the perfect gift for Dougo is an Engcon tilt-rotator 👍🏻
Great job running the excavator Dougo
Will look beautiful when finished. God Bless
We watch Larsen Farms every time their is a post and I watch yours. Will have to have my husband watch this one for sure as he is in earthmoving and will enjoy seeing the excavator.
Me thinks Dougo has done this before. It will be fun seeing the end result of this work.
Watching videos with you and Doug always make my day a little better. Thanks for posting them. Brian

Amy, you are always so inspiring with your thoughtful words. Your yard will be pretty again. Keep Dougo busy, I don't think he likes idle hands.
Big toys for Dougo
More power. 💪
I love the Dugo..
I have to admit, the trees being removed was satisfying to watch.
Indeed.

Doug is pretty good at running that machine.
I suggest covering the columns with stone veneer that matches the stone around the deck.
That would be too much stone, I recommended stucco. Amy agreed!

Stucco? Huh? Ugly

Who said to use stucco? Why? Stone veneer would look more consistant.

Thank you Amy for the video watching from Reno NV

Wrap the pillars with that faux stone like the bottom of the house or get the tile that looks like it. That faux stone you could diy.
Wise words thank you.
Keep up the good work boss
Those tree's really did have to come down, and landscaping is always bad, but in the end so satisfying. G-d bless.

Great video Amy
Hello Amy I truly love you and your family such a beautiful unit together so much love amongst you all. Be well much love from Ohio.
Amy you are such an inspiration for everyone. Keep on going girl. The pillars is best to cover with the same rock you have in the walls of the house.
Any project that size does take courage!

You tell them Amy❤
That's it Amy tell Doug what to do put him to work😂 I'm anxious to c it when it is finished❤
Doug is a good operator. Knows what he's doing for sure.
Dougo is like a surgeon with that excavator.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop and can't wait to see the transformation. Texture the pillars and paint them black.
You will love the new look of the lawn. God Bless You All.

I like the industrial look of them the way they are.
Doug is like a surgeon with that excavator !
As I’ve said before I really enjoy the time you spend with us. You are are an incredible lady.
Amy for the pillars you could tile them with tiles that match the facing stones on the house. That way the pillars won't be any bigger really.
I love you guys y'all are amazing give anything to meet y'all from North Carolina saying hello y'all are awesome
Tell your son congratulations on his engagement been through so much and I'm going through the same thing much respect
Your such a wise and inspirational lady.Thank you
The old saying is you have to crack a few eggs to bake a cake. Or make a mess before you put it right.
Looking forward to seeing it finished
Beautiful home and patio. Thank you for sharing.
Stone them same as the house !! Looks great!
Dougo doesn't mess around to get a job done. He brings in the big equipment. It's go big or go home.
He brought the big equipment and went home!!🤣
I think Dougo really loves destroying stuff!😂
Way to go Ames, yard work is always a “work in progress”. Great attitude!!!
Dougo done a great job!! 👍👍

cedar shake on post or some sort of warm wood feature post to break up all the stone

I’m trying to get enough comments to get Douglas to change his mind on the stone for the columns. Lol

Cover the pillars with stained cedar planks, create some color and texture contrast with the stone?
Morning Amy , I was thinking about your comment on your columns, have you thought about using the same rock on the pillars as is on the house
