Missed you, Cassandra! Glad you are back - your videos always brighten my day and share so much good information. I’m praying things continue to improve and that you and your family receive the strength and comfort you need 🙏🏻
Hi Sandra! I know its been a while. My family experienced an situation that threw us all for a loop and required a lot of time and mental focus to address. I'm happy to say that we've turned a corner and things are settling down again. I'll be sharing the content from the videos I had to abruptly stop due to those events. Thank you for keeping me in mind!
@BecomingaFarmGirl I will definitely put you and your family in my prayers. We have had lots of loss of family here so I completely understand the pause when things get thrown for a loop. Huggs know that you are thought of.
Melissa! THANK YOU, sweet friend. The moment isn't quite right to share details just yet, but the clouds from the recent storm I've been in are starting to part. I cannot tell you how much this touches my heart!
I receive joy, peace and inspiration from watching your videos. You are indeed a blessing. I am praying for comfort and peace for you and your family as you navigate a challenging moment. I don’t expect a regular posting schedule for someone working a demanding full-time job - I am just grateful when you can.
If you aren’t the cutest thing on you tube! My husband and I also are dreaming of a small homestead. Bit of course we are a bit older than you and your husband. God bless you and thank you for all you do.
OMG!!!🎉 IM SO GRATEFUL AND EXCITED TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!! Greetings Cassandra! I pray this message finds you and your family in the Best of Spirits and Great Health! I have recently found your amazing and inspiring channel. I have binged watched all of your fantastic content ❤ that I am so in love with everything you do. You just don’t know how much you have personally helped me. I thank God for your beautiful spirit!!! You are literally heaven sent my sister! Because of you, I literally just planted my Kitchen Garden in my new Green Stalk planter that will find its new home on our Balcony. She is a beauty in Blush Pink from the Mother’s Day sale edition. I hope I can accomplish a nice garden in this Arizona weather 😅 Thank you so much for coming back! Blessings and Prayers to you and everyone supporting your channel/journey to becoming a farm girl! With Love 💕
Awww, friend these words are incredibly kind! I am so proud of you for starting your vertical planter--they are game changers for growing lots of food in a small space. I've had a recent personal setback, and its been challenging to keep "all the burners on" (my full time job, the demands of the situation, etc.) BUT I should be posting with more regularity now that the crux of the situation has subsided. Keep becoming a farm girl!
I have a little corn trick that always makes me laugh a little- I don't have a kernel stripper but I have a bundt pan. I just shove the small end of the corn cob into the hole in the center of the bundt pan and use a knife to slice down around the cob. The center hole holds the cob in place and also catches the kernels in the pan. It also makes for one more way to use a rarely used pan in my house!
It is good to hear from you Cassandra. I will be praying for you and family. Always take the time you need to take care of your family. We are rolling with you!
I pray that God touches you & everyone in your family with his healing hands. I hope this gives you all the comfort and strength to keep moving forward. Sending you & your family love, hugs & prayers! 🙏🏿🫶🏿💐
I appreciate your prayers so much! The last few months have been rough with a very trying recent family event, but GOD is good through it all! I receive this prayer with appreciation more than you know!

Hello sweet friend! I have been praying for all the folks impacted by the recent storms. My folks are also in Florida and while they did not experience severe flooding/damage we know many that have. So many are going through very challenging times. You and your loved ones are in my prayers!
Another quality informative video. I am so glad that I found your channel. You have truly transformed the way I look at home making. Thank you for all that you do.
New here after homestead conference. Love you there. I'm currently going through iron infusion after our area was hit by Helena I'm in Greeneville TN. I'm so glad I saw you at the conference because now while I can't be out on our mini farm I'm benge watching you on things I can do in the home I have yet to try. Thank you thank you. Many prayers for what you are dealing with personally. Here's a big hug from TN .❤❤❤
Hey Lady! I'm so happy we met at HOA! Please know that I have been praying for the all of the folks that were impacted by Helena since the very start and I will continue to do so, especially calling you and yours out loud by name. In turn, I appreciate the prayers and when the moment is right, I will share. Even in hard times, GOD is good. My nana used to say that we are all either coming out of something or about to go into something, which makes the times of peace an extra blessing. Thank you so much for your prayers!
Hello dear Cassandra!! I’m one of your subscribers who have missed seeing your channel!! I get so much useful information about canning, meal prep and saving money!! I get so much satisfaction and joy from making things for myself- and I love the taste & results of homemade foods!! Thank you for sharing your content with us!! I’m praying for you and your family and all those affected in your area!! Take care and stay safe!!🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍
Hello sweet friend! You are too kind. Thank you so much. took an abrupt break to help with a family matter. Now that things are stabilizing, I'm so glad to push out the content I was working on. There is NO better satisfaction than realizing that you can create delicious, nutritious meals and avoid the markup of premade (and lesser quality) food items just by keeping the timeless techniques that were in all American kitchens just a few decades ago! You have been missed!! I'm glad you're back but you do what you gotta do and we'll all be here waiting patiently. Take care of yourself and yours first! Hugs
You knocked it out of the park with the recipes this month! These all sound SO GOOD. Wonderful to see your face again, I've missed your videos! Sending love your way ❤
Glad your back friend! Hope all is well with all of your family, your community here was worried for the family and you and your husband. We missed you!
So happy to see you! We've missed you! I do know life happens, so I've been praying for you. Oh yes, love the video. As always, very informative and entertaining! Can't wait to see you again soon! Take care and God bless!❤🙏

Hey, Cassandra, have been wondering where you've been. Glad to see you back. I've got too much quinoa in my pantry right now, thank you for helping me figure out what to do with it. Lord bless you!
I always look forward to your videos, and this one is so full of inspo and info! I've never heard of corn cobb stock - that is downright brilliant! Thanks for sharing all that you do with us!
I like these recipes. You are an amazing teacher. You are precise on each step. Your presentation is always estheticly pleasing. I want to try every recipe. Shopping in season is important and saves money. Preserving the food is the key. I enjoyed the way used all of the corn. Thank you Cassandra!
Hi friend!. Just Tuesday I was looking up everywhere to see if you had posted anything(I was worried) but I'm glad to see you were probably just busy. You never dissappoint. I love your videos as they are packed with content from recipes to ideas and tips. I hope your hubby and parents are doing well. It has been quite the year here in FL.
Honey, you are right about Florida! I pray that you and yours were safe during Milton. My folks are in the northern part which wasn't hit too bad (but there was significant flooding in some areas). My family and I recently experienced a tough situation that I'm not yet ready to share, but it required a lot of my attention and focus. I'm going to be pushing out content that I was working on prior to everything happening in hopes of getting "caught up". Thanks for the well wishes!
Hello sweet friend. I appreciate your prayers more than you know! I hope to share details about the situation when the time is right. For now, the darkest of the storm clouds have passed and I'm in a much better spot to shift the time, attention away from that situation back to the channel :)
@@BecomingaFarmGirl You do what you need to do for your family and your own mental and physical health. As Richard Marxx says. WE WILL BE RIGHT HERE WAITING FOR YOU 🥰🥰🥰
Cassandra I am salivating at your corn chowder with shrimp. That looks heavenly. Texas corn season is July and August. Croissants look easy. Hope they freeze well. Have a good week and take care of yourself. Prayers for you and your family.
Hi Donna! Always good to see you lady! Let me tell you, that chowder will have you lickin' the bowl! As you saw, it's not a complicated recipe and the addition of the quinoa adds a boost of fiber and protein. It's officially chowder season! Thank you for the prayers! We've needed them as of late.
This video was for September. It must have been prerecorded. I am glad to see it. As usual it was excellent. You are the top RUclips provider. How you put so much into one video is amazing.
Hello friend! I cannot tell you how touched I am by your kind words and prayers. We all go through trials and neither me or my family are exempt. I believe the hardest moments of the situation has passed and now I am in much more of an accepting phase. I hope to share with the time is right. And yes, between full time work and the weight of the recent situation, it was all encompassing. I love my farm girls and missed everyone! I appreciate you so much!
So happy to see you. I have been watching for you and hoping all is well for you… great video. I love the idea of roasting the corn cobs before making broth. I put up around 50 jars of corn broth each summer to use for all my winter soups. Roasting them first will be my plan for next year. I recently canned my end of summer tomatoes into pasta sauce. Because I had just watched Ruth. Zimmerman make fresh pasta sauce using her fresh roasted tomatoes, I decided to try canning it that way. Wow, talk about a game changer! Everyone raved about my lasagna made with that sauce. I love watching you wonderful RUclips cooks. I’m learning so much from you. Thank you.
Love your channel ❤ You're absolutely amazing!!! Love how you take the time to share your honest opinion and NOT edit out real life, in my kitchen, here's what happens situations. Keeping it real girl is why I always look forward to new videos as well as look back to previous ones for reference. Ok, so... I'm not sure if you're familiar with using basil seeds in place of chia seeds in your recipes. The benefits are wonderful in comparison. I thought about it when you said you over plant basil every year on purpose lol as if that's possible.

This is the first time I have seen your channel and I am very impressed. I was happy to see that it is fig season. I used to pick figs off of my grandmother‘s tree and we would can them. I need to give it a try.
It's soo good and filling! It's a great way to reduce the carbs and add tons of extra fiber and protein making this an incredibly creamy, savory and nutritious meal!
Thank you, THANK YOU!! An urgent family matter (one that I will share in time, but not just yet) happened and its been all encompassing these last few months. I'm in a much better place now and I'll be posting videos of footage that I've been holding on to. I appreciate you!!
Glad to hear from you. Hoping all gets better smoothly for ya! Could I freeze these then bake at a later time ya think , the croissants I mean. Doing batches of frozen breads for the family for Christmas think these would be loved.

Hope all is ok so happy to see you....I did my first Green Stalk this spring/summer and most of it failed so badly I just don't know what Idid wrong then with all the storms we had it was flown down and broke apart but fixable.....I was hoping when you are up to it you can give me some tips to start again I really took care of it but this years weather/storms /heat and then broken was unexpected ....Thanks Cassandra and God bless you and your family....Julianna North Carolina
Roasted cobs have unbelievable flavor! I took an abrupt break this summer when my family experienced a very rough situation (I'll likely share details in a month or two when the timing is better). Getting through that required a lot of my time and took a toll on me. But hey-that's life-we all go through trials. The clouds have started to part and things are looking up again. Thank you for such caring words!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this, Linda! While I'm not ready to (yet) share what its been, its taken a toll and I had to "power down" for a last few months. We're in a much better place and I can't wait to push out some of the videos I had filmed prior to everything. THANK YOU for your prayers!
Hello sweet friend! Thank you for such kind words and your prayers. I too, will keep you in mine as you also are navigating a difficult storm with your husband. I've had to remind myself to take things hour by hour when the enormity of the situation feels crushing. We will all experience trials in life and its the Lord, good friends, and family that get us through. I hope to share details at a later date when the time is right.
@@BecomingaFarmGirl thank you for your prayers. You take it as slow as you need. I am not there yet myself. I just don’t have the time to deal with everything and take care of him, figure out his extraordinarily busy plumbing business and daily living chores. Thank God and you I had two years of gardening and canning/preserving under my belt because it has fed us throughout this trying time. Just remember to hug yourself and allow some grace, keep your chin up and know you are loved. Take care my special friend.
Nikki! Hey lady:) Yes, corn silk tea is delicious. Once I stumbled across how even the silks can be used (a few years ago) I know see them just as precious as the cob and other parts that I used to just immediately compost.
Hello Shelia! Thank you so much for your prayers. I abruptly stepped back because of a family situation that I will likely share about in the next month or two as we continue to get a bit more removed from the initial shock of it all, but it did take a toll on me mentally and emotionally. I'll be pushing out videos that I had footage for before everything happened. thank you so much for the positive thoughts!!!
Cassandra, LOVE your content SO MUCH! Do not worry about when and how much you post. We’re here for you whenever you can! I am having trouble printing the last few grocery guides as it says I need access to do that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to access them?

You are so welcome! Thanks for the encouragement!
This is the first time I have seen your channel and I am very impressed. I was happy to see that it is fig season. I used to pick figs off of my grandmother‘s tree and we would can them. I need to give it a try.
Welcome aboard, farm girl!
God has given you a talent, This is amazing. Thank you
The quinoa chowder looks amazing! I'll have to try it.
It's soo good and filling! It's a great way to reduce the carbs and add tons of extra fiber and protein making this an incredibly creamy, savory and nutritious meal!
You are amazing! Thank you for sharing. Cheers.
So good to see you
Glad to see your beautiful and enlightening videos. Thank you so much!

Miss you, dear. Prayers and love ❤️
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your prayers!! Thank you!!
I like fresh corn 🌽 I grew some summer before last. The corn 🌽 in the stores for that price are GMO. Organic corn 🌽 cost more per ear of corn.🌽
Always good to see you friend! Yes, you are right about the distinction in price!
Girl, i was JUST thinking of you a few days ago! Had to check my subs. I read the comments and just ditto all that.
Thank you, THANK YOU!! An urgent family matter (one that I will share in time, but not just yet) happened and its been all encompassing these last few months. I'm in a much better place now and I'll be posting videos of footage that I've been holding on to. I appreciate you!!
Sweetheart, it is so good to see you. I was thinking just the other day that it had been a strangely long time. Are yall ok?
Glad to hear from you. Hoping all gets better smoothly for ya! Could I freeze these then bake at a later time ya think , the croissants I mean. Doing batches of frozen breads for the family for Christmas think these would be loved.
Girlfriend, spending a day with you is like liquid gold!!
Miss you glad your safe. God Bless

I like the idea of roasting corn cobs. I have made jelly with them but I think I will try this next time. You’ve been missed btw.
Glad to see you! 🥰
Great to see you.
I'm praying for you and your family
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this, Linda! While I'm not ready to (yet) share what its been, its taken a toll and I had to "power down" for a last few months. We're in a much better place and I can't wait to push out some of the videos I had filmed prior to everything. THANK YOU for your prayers!
Missing you terribly….prayers for you and your family….hope mom and dad are ok…almost lost my husband this summer…big life changes ahead❤❤❤
I like making cornsilk tea. It’s especially yummy with apple peels or chamomile.
Nikki! Hey lady:) Yes, corn silk tea is delicious. Once I stumbled across how even the silks can be used (a few years ago) I know see them just as precious as the cob and other parts that I used to just immediately compost.
🙏🏿 🤲🏾 Sending you love, peace, and blessings .
I appreciate this more than you know!!! God bless you and yours as well. I hope to share soon, when the timing is right.
i like you, thanks for ALL this info!
I've missed you. Thought you were just busy. Keeping you in my positive thoughts. ((Hugs)).
Hi Friend! Whew, knowing that you are praying for us is balm for the soul. Thank you so much!!! And oh, here's the direct link to the guides: docs.google.com/document/d/1hySNbPb5Jtk7AjrVZJMQPAT4goGJPCsvcHez41AHdlg/edit?usp=sharing
@@BecomingaFarmGirl you really are my FAVORITE person to watch on youtube. Thank you for always giving of yourself, even when life is throwing you challenges!
I still can't print these darn things! still says I need access even when I click the link above. I'll keep working on it, and they are SO lovely and well made!
Nice to see you bsck friend and 👋🏻👋🏼
I've missed you! Is there any way to get the older grocery guides? I've looked for them on your website, but I haven't found any. Any chance of getting the older grocery guides? I have the past years worth.
Those are crescent rolls, not croissants. Rolled the same way but croissants are different. Looks tasty!
You’ve been missed!
Missed you!!!! ❤
Thanks for sharing 🙏Shalom❤
I found your channel about a month ago and watched all of them! Loved them!! I signed up for your emails and was excited to receive it yesterday but when i click on it it, it tells me i need permission to access. Not sure about that!!
Do you have any tips on pressure canning? I am never sure on how to use the weights and I cannot travel to get the gauge checked because a kid dropped it.
Long time no see, I was getting a bit worried.
It was hard to understand what you said about the corn silks when you were talking about them being sticky. What did that mean? Ty You are pretty amazing!
So far it seems like I’m the only man here but let me tell you that this woman is the reason my girlfriend is constantly annoyed with me because I no longer listen haha… no dinner tonight??? Shiiiiiiii I’ll just make some cinnamon toast KRUNCH with a K 🤣🤣🤣 (my first video that I seen from her)
Lol, you are too funny, Isaac!
Missed you. Hope everything is going ok.
Hello friend! My family experienced a personal trail earlier this summer and it took us out for the count for a while. Trials happen to us all, but I'm starting to feel that the dark clouds have parted and I can reopen my responsibilities/time to my videos again. I hope to share details in the next month or two, when the timing is right. You are so intuitive!

Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤
You are very welcome my friend!
Just curious, do you leave the onion paper on?
👍
I haven’t received this months grocery guide that you’re using in this video. Have you sent it out? I don’t want to miss it.
Hey friend, here it is: docs.google.com/document/d/1hySNbPb5Jtk7AjrVZJMQPAT4goGJPCsvcHez41AHdlg/edit?usp=sharing
@@BecomingaFarmGirl thank you!
I signed up for the Grocery guides but the confirm email says I will get canning recipes. ?
I brought some green apples organic from Kroger and they was not very sweet, but they was expensive! 😭😭😭
Hey friend! Yikes, a sour apple isn't my favorite either, but Granny Smith and Green Dragon are green variations that are sweet.
