Adding this "thumbs up" to your most recent video in hopes you will see it; as I watch some of your older videos (most recently How NOT to frag frogspawn), I come for the coral and aquarium advise (currently with my first saltwater tank, 4 mths old, largely based on advise you have given and my research), but what really makes your videos entertaining is the dynamic between you and Emily (sorry if I misspelled her name), you make an adorable couple. Good health and happy reefing to the both of you, and your nano future reefer.
Hahaha that's awesome! I thought about dressing Leon up as a clownfish and the wife as the girl at the dentist's office... alas, we were not going to any Halloween party so we'll shelf that for next year, lol.
Ah man I'm planning on getting Bangaii Cardinals in my macro tank too! I heard they're perfect since they're strict carnivores so perfect for a macro tank.
A few of the Banggai babies will survive in that tank without any care. I now have 11 (all adults now) and I miss having a peaceful tank. You can check any of my recent videos.
At this point a lot of cardinals are tank raised if not most so with that they are pretty hardy. I've had groups of 3 or 5 in the past. One of my fav fish in this side of the hobby.
Did you see at fintastic they have Birds Nest and pocilopora for $5!! Most are really healthy looking and they also have some Acros . I went there yesterday and they had such a good selection of corals!
Hey! I’m new to the salt water hobby and I’m looking for a good light for a 10 gallon, I really wanted the one you got for your nano series but they are discontinued. Did you have any lighting recommendations?
I've wanted to use Vibrant since buying it after watching BRS do there test, but had some people have bad results so I've been alittle nervous using it since Im running 3 nanos. I got a UV sterilizer so hopefully that helps. I also made....a bunch of purchases this week with BRS, I'm going to wait til I get everything at once and keep my fingers crossed that I won something
I used Vibrant two weeks ago in my aio 20 gallon. Worked great for the bubble alage, but noticed some small amounts of cyano after. The cyano has since died but it had me kind of scratching my head.
@@Messier87_M87 same here, I have a bit of cyano at the front of the tank, it's not bad so I didn't raise any alarm. I had to make sure my Nitrate and Phosphate are detectable or I may be seeing Dino instead!
I’m super late coming to this video! I have a pair of Banggai cardinals that I have had for 6 months now and they are spawning every 2 months so are well settled but they still wont take any dried food - just frozen food. Any tips?
I’m getting a 24g saltwater cube and have been in the hobby for a year. I am thinking of different fish and love the frog fish videos when you had him. Would you reccommend them and what’s the pros and cons?
The biggest con is definitely feeding. When I had my frogfish, it was a constant buying and keeping of ghost shrimps and the occasional damsels. If you are OK with that or is successful weaning your frogfish onto frozen food, then the frogfish is pretty straight forward to keep! One year seems to be a mark that most wartskin frogfish perish though, for whatever reason. If you decide to try one, good luck and please keep me posted!
I use fishofhex's nitrate and phosphate dosing products. 👍 I believe Brightwell also makes them if he is out of stock; and if you are handy and need more, telegraham has a video on how to make these solution (but you will get a LOT).
Great content again , check to see if 1 of the cardinals had a square jaw, almost like a bulldog , if so, that’s ya male , ive had success with them and maroon goldbands, but have to separate the male after he lets the fry out as they don’t eat while holding eggs and that randy female will fart a load of eggs back in his mouth quicker than he can get a decent meal
@@JohnG-gu5wo Filefish is a risk, I added it also because I thought it looks cool! A sure fire way to get rid of the Aiptasia is Berghia Nudibranch, they make super quick work on the Aiptasias but they also starve very quickly once the Aiptasias are all gone. Salty Underground is the go-to place for them online.
Check her out on Instagram at @missaveragereefer! We haven't seen her as much these days due to lock down. Her tank is still up and she makes occasional updates on it. ☺
Very good video my friend and loved it..Thanks for sharing it,
That costume really gave me a good laugh. Thanks.

That green bird nest was chunky!! I and absolutely gorgeous. Looks just like mine big and sitting on frag plug! Lol
Dip or no dip? That is the questions 🤔 living life on the edge lol. John really hooked it up with those colonies!
I love the way you go over your whole tank. You keep it interesting.
Thanks buddy, I was afraid that I ramble too much, lol
I agree!
@@InappropriateReefer don't worry it's what us reef nerds do! I'm always talking about my tank.
Happy to see the Vibrant is working! Keep us posted!
My wife and I did those costumes year before last except I was a clown fish, and she was the anemone! 😂😂

Thank you Fred! 🙏

Vibrant is good stuff. Keep up with the manual removal of bubble algae when you do your water changes.
Top Video 👍 Greetings from Germany
Love the costume
Vibrant did the same with my tank bubble algae turned silverish and by week 7-8 completely gone.

I use five drops of Vibrant in my little 10 gallon AIO per week, no problems in the four months I’ve used it. I only have LPS though, no refugium.

Big Fan. Tell Steve and Dustin Marquis said hello. Can’t visit often since I moved to Pittsburgh from DC. They help me get into saltwater.
Will do!! 👌 Tropical Lagoon got me into Frogfish keeping!
Please please get some more tang it would be awesome to see some Bristol tooth tangs in there
Did the middle light of the aqua knight die?
Sir just be careful with the Vibrant.. It kills my 4" clam. But vibrant really helps me with algae.

Get another pipefish and breed them! XD

My cardinal fish only eats frozen, it doesn’t seem to care for anything else
Have you tried not feeding anything but dry food for 2-3 days? When they're hungry enough...
Your cardinal fish just may be high maintenance. 😉
You've spoiled it
My frogspawn looks nothing like that. Yours looks more like my hammer.
Please don’t frag your Bangaii Cardinals lol. I don’t think they would frag well!
On a side note, Vibrant, once every two weeks, at directed dose per system volume, will get you results.
How to frag it?
