I have 8 Norwegian Elkhounds, all amazing in their own way. Intelligent, loyal, sometimes stubborn, always huggable. Somewhat rare these days, used to be more common. They love Winter and snow.
I think you mean her family is blessed to have such a cool dog. My boy Baldurdash is such a sweetheart. Loves everybody. He knows he's a great dog, but he's cool about it. "...like you were walkin' onto a yacht..."

My 3 year old Norwegian Elk Hound is so smart that he puts himself in time out. Best boy ever.

I swear these two look like they could be my dog's parents! One of his parents was a Norwegian Elkhound and the other was a Walker Coonhound Mix. 😄
