  • Welcome back to our custom motorcycle build series, where we're converting a stock Harley Davidson Sportster into a hardtail beauty. In this episode, we tackle the welding process of our Lowbrow Customs hardtail section onto the Sportster frame section, using common tools and without a proper garage.

@@coleyellowbirdwelds I like how he doesn’t need any fancy gear - just basic tools and an old plastic garbage can, lol.

I’m glad these videos exist. I thought it needed to be tig welded for the plugs/rosettes?
Was that flux core or solid wire?
Love me some mag wheels , cool build so far

Thank you for the kind words! I'm using a Hobart Handler 140 (MIG with solid wire with mixed gas 75/25) welder for the entire build (including frame plugs), it's been a game changer from the cheapo harbor freight flux core I did have for about a month before I returned it.

NGL, that near fumble @1:12 made me nervous. I know it was "secure" but it moved a little too much for a moment.

@@Bedevere the hardtail has been holding up! Probably the most solid part of the entire build honestly
