Tbh Zomato and Blinkit's UI is way better than swiggy and swiggy food delivery UI is somewhat okay but the instamart one is RIP and they don't have most of the commanly needed items available most of the time as well and also their delivery time is way more their packaging of instamart items and Blinkit's packaging with designed reusable bags they are way ahead of swiggy.

As a restauranter Zomato charges us : 28% commission and an additional 2.5% for payment gateway. While swiggy charges : 26% commission and an additional 2.5% for payment gateway. I haven't used Zomato advertisements yet but swiggy charges a whopping Rs 6.5/ - per click which is pretty much basic and it goes all the way Rs 12/- per click A tax of 5% is also added to the customer in the firm of gst Additional we give to give discounts to the customers inorder to get an order. Which is making the final price alot more. Our competitor restaurants are running even at a loss and sometimes the increase the food quantity and cut back on quality Any suggestions of what we should do, to overcome this. From a consumer who orders pretty much everyday - keep the food quality and quantity consistently good. Poeple will try number of stores , but if your quality (not dripping oil in name of Dal makhni etc) and quantity is right - then you'll win in the long run. My relative started a restaurant business during covid, was running in loss , but basically just stuck to good pricing and good quality. Don't depend too much on discount codes , offer value to customers and you'll be good.
It's also because Swiggy is used to banning people like me and my 2 friends 😂😂 of course we faked the order damaged to get refund but still it seems like a permanent ban because it's been around 2 yrs and none of our accounts have been reactivated and since then I've been a zomato customer

I choose Swiggy, because they always get the address right with minimal calling. I like UI of Swiggy Better. And I find offers on Swiggy better than Zomato. And I like that Food Delivery and Grocery are in same app. It has always been Swiggy for me.

the reason i shifted to Zomato from swiggy is zomato gold and the review section of zomato..but the reason of sticking to zomato since then has been their excellent customer care service.

It’s not just blink it app. I’m restaurant owner and believe me managers of zomato are way ethically driven with 24x7 support. Also zomato merchant app is updated with user friendly features as compared to swiggy.
I never ordered from Zomato even If I were getting in lower prices. Reason being that zomato has many bad stories realted to delivery boys and many bad food.
In banaglore blinkit non packaged item ( vegetables, fruits etc) quality was not upto the mark... swiggy instamart quality is much better than blinkit... Also, swiggy customer care is far more cumstomer oriented than zomato if something goes wrong... Only reason why zomato got ahead bcoz of their recent zomato gold lower prices compared to swiggy..
For every order, i keep desired items in cart, check final price after discount coupon and place order. 75% of the time, Swiggy was better.
