Exactly, I don't think that's the reason. I feel it's more of an ETA issue, in many areas I've been to, I've seen Blinkit showing faster expected delivery time. And of course, blinkit as a name is somewhat more popular.
Its only till they are giving Zomato gold at less price, other wise swiggy has better delivery, and price. One plus point with Zomato is real reviews you can check photos etc.
Tbh Zomato and Blinkit's UI is way better than swiggy and swiggy food delivery UI is somewhat okay but the instamart one is RIP and they don't have most of the commanly needed items available most of the time as well and also their delivery time is way more their packaging of instamart items and Blinkit's packaging with designed reusable bags they are way ahead of swiggy.

I've had food issues quite a few times and always got it resolved with swiggy customer care in app help. It worked for me and got the required compensation.

Quite often, when restaurants send spoiled food, zomato takes responsibility, and refunds money. In Swiggy, the chances of refund is relatively low. For a rs 200-300 order, paying Rs 10-15 extra is an insurance for a better service and refund in case something goes wrong. Hence, zomato wins it.
It’s not just blink it app. I’m restaurant owner and believe me managers of zomato are way ethically driven with 24x7 support. Also zomato merchant app is updated with user friendly features as compared to swiggy.

In banaglore blinkit non packaged item ( vegetables, fruits etc) quality was not upto the mark... swiggy instamart quality is much better than blinkit... Zomato has better gold pass benefits, Swiggy has better restaurant selection and customer support. Both are equally good and I select based on the offers available at time and delivery charges.

Zomato is always costly (at least in Bangalore). The cost of the food is same in both, but the GST and other charges are more (by 5 to 10%) And blinkit is absolute robbery...they charge Rs 30 as high demand surcharge)
As a restauranter Zomato charges us : 28% commission and an additional 2.5% for payment gateway. While swiggy charges : 26% commission and an additional 2.5% for payment gateway. I haven't used Zomato advertisements yet but swiggy charges a whopping Rs 6.5/ - per click which is pretty much basic and it goes all the way Rs 12/- per click A tax of 5% is also added to the customer in the firm of gst Additional we give to give discounts to the customers inorder to get an order. Which is making the final price alot more. Our competitor restaurants are running even at a loss and sometimes the increase the food quantity and cut back on quality Any suggestions of what we should do, to overcome this. Started preferring Zomato over swiggy due to the bad customer service from swiggy. Orders from swiggy get delayed more frequently than Zomato and the last zomato order that was delayed was long ago where they even compensated me for the delay. Swiggy just asks you to wait and doesn't even help out when you get very cold food due to a delay which was their own fault. Once I even got spoilt food sent by a restaurant and swiggy customer care did nothing about it. Zomato wins easily here and even I have to pay a bit more, i'm happy doing so to avoid headaches that swiggy causes.

I used to order fried rice and chilli chicken after every 2 months. I started ordering from swiggy bcz of its orange colour,ui( my favourite colour) and better discounts. Since i used to order from 1 restaurant and after like 1 year that restaurant got removed from swiggy for some reason. And then in Zomato i found the same restaurant and started ordering from it. I personally don't like red colour but the ui is good so yeah this is how i adapted. But now also i check in swiggy if by any chance i get that restaurant.
I never ordered from Zomato even If I were getting in lower prices. Reason being that zomato has many bad stories realted to delivery boys and many bad food.
