Nearly abandoned mall in Atlantic City becomes a place for peace and quiet solitude

Almost all the stores in the Playground on the Pier are closed today. Of the 80 stores listed on the directory, only 13 remain open.

The Ocean One mall was amazing in the 80’s and 90’s. The arcade in the back was amazing. They ruined it all.

Yeh i used to hang here when we stay at Ballys i remember we were there where starting building it must have been 2006 i liked sitting on those chairs looking at the view, it was place to chill for me while he played poker for hours. the fountain but wow only 3 stores left now.

I worked one summer in Atlantic city 1996. Ocean One that place was called. Great place to go through, food court, many stores, 2 good restaurants, looked like the top portion of an oceanliner. I was in AC late May. Won't even bother going in.

I worked there when it was ocean one mall. I worked at Crabtree and Evelyn.

Ocean One with Beefsteak Charlies on the third level. That was when it was great!

They had a great fountain display there it cost millions , all gone
