Thanks for this video! I suspect my 5.7L Vortec has a spun rod bearing, so I'm considering pulling the motor myself and putting in a good take-out. What sucks is that I have a gravel driveway, so I'm going to look into getting some bigger wheels for a HF engine lift.

Thanks for showing all that goes in to getting to the engine I bought a 99 with the Vortec 5.7 it has a blown head gasket or a lower intake leak. Cool video- new subscriber!

Thanks a lot friend. I hope this helps. The vortex 5.7 is a very good engine in my opinion. I know it can be intimidating to start a project like that but you should be able to do it and save a lot of money.

I have a 2007 and the front end is easier to remove
