I’m Amanda and Frank is my co-pilot. We are new to youtube but have lived in a van for 7+ years. I am a photographer and forager. We enjoy hiking, camping, climbing and being outside as much as we can. We have countless stories and lessons to share and look forward to becoming better videographers, thank you for coming along.

oh hey there.....
you are wonderful!!!!
Thank you for getting me to 10,000 subscribers, going to be doing my first LIVE STREAM Friday 4:30pm PDT.
Join me to hang out, I'll be answering question and talking a bit about Franks health situation and everything I'm doing to help with that and what's to come for him.
Congrats on 10K ,..... 1M next ..
Awesome to watch you and your dad working together. These are precious times to be cherished forever. ❤
What a great Dad to teach, guide and support you in your van life. And who shows up when the van dies? Awesome Father.
Just awesome.... can tell your Father is a true professional....and a great, patient teacher!
My dad is 74, I am 47, I still hand him tools and generally assist when we are fixing things.
Brings back Old memories. I have done this 3 or 4 times; only I did not have Help. This will always be a good memory for you ... of your Dad. He is a gem.
I think your dad is a really cool guy . You are very fortunate to have a dad like that
You’re probably already tired of hearing this but you have an awesome dad. You are truly blessed! He’s blessed to have a daughter like you as well. 🥰
Frank did a terrific job supervising you! Gotta love that dog!!
I am overwhelmed by the number of parts that go into a vehicle. This series fills me with so much appreciation for my mechanic.
And every vehicle is different, some brands have parts I’ve never heard of. It’s incredible to be fluent in most vehicles. I’m definitely a Chevy/GMC gal and don’t give me anything too modern.
I'm pretty sure no one here needs this reminder, but I'd like to take a second just to say that Frank is awesome!!
Commenting about a video, 35 minutes before it starts: It's not that I don't have a life, it's just that this channel is so much fun.
I appreciate that Mike! I'm stoked people are excited for my videos
The personality in that dogs face and movements is just awesome. If he ever needs a real good place to stay, I would take him in a heartbeat. Lost my best boy a few months ago suddenly and unexpectedly and let me tell you my world stopped turning for a while. Not to bring you down but every day, every second is precious
I like that you have useful information in your videos. Unlike some RUclipsrs who sit around and chat for half of an hour just to create content to make money, yours has real life stuff and it is appreciated. Besides, you have an awesome dog that we get to see ❤️❤️.
Ex pro mechanic here, you are super lucky to have such a wise person to teach/help you with a big job like this. You can see your father’s experience in all the little details, I think you two did a great job! This experience will be priceless for future repairs by yourself. Frank is possibly the cutest supervisor ever btw!
Good to see a father and daughter relationship like you two have absolutely great... Your father must be so proud of you.👏👍
I’m always so impressed with your knowledge and abilities, Amanda!
Very patient father and teacher. Your very blessed to have him as your teacher. Peace.
I did this same thing with my dad in my early 20’s. This will be a cherished memory you will never forget. Spending time with your dad and learning. You both Rock!!❤️❤️🦋🦋
What an awesome dad to help you with such a great big project!! You're lucky to have him...and yes the good ole dad jokes! Lol. It's nice spending time with family and can't wait to see the truck up and running!!
I have been a HD mechanic for over forty years and it looks like you guys got this so far. 👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟👍🌟
Seeing the brand of tools being used. I believe dad knows how to build a sbc 350
You have an awesome dad! Great job 👏. Nothing else rocks more than a lady rolling up her sleeves and doing a complex job with pops. Lucky guy that takes your hand...🙂
Really great that you got in there and "scraped your knuckles," so to speak, and did much of dog work, to make this project happen. Good deal.
Beer and RUclips! Awesome night!
10000!!!! Congratulations!!🎊🍾🎉🎈🎈🎊🍾.
I’m geeking out so hard. This is such a cool learning experience. I know working on a vehicle can be VERY frustrating at times, but getting that firsthand knowledge and SEEING how everything fits together … that’s amazing. I’m so glad you have a dad willing to help and patiently teach.
I’ve watched a few “van builds”, but THIS brings a whole new level. Watching the two of you work together so beautifully just warmed my ❤️ NGL, I’m freaking impressed. Your productions are really good Amanda. Always soothe my soul. Hi Frank!
So proud of you! And what great memories you are creating with your Dad. Thank him on our behalf please. We are enjoying this endeavor!
You are so lucky to have your dad helping
You will literally know Truck inside out by the time you finish this engine swap. Oh the amazing places you will get to see when you are back on the road!
Swapping an engine with your Dad. That's Badass
This is like alien technology to me, but super fun to watch it come together
Wow! This the engine swap is coming along so well!! Great daughter-dad duo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
SO impressed Amanda.
35 years ago did this with my dad. While he worked I did body work, then when he was off, we did the engine. No small feat girl. YOU! Did awesome.
This sure is helping me appreciate the complexity of engines.
💥💥💥 yay 10,000!!! I loved your bad dad joke! The look on your dad's face was priceless.
I found this channel by watching Foresty forest. What a cool series of engine swap in the old van
what a great dad you have and Im impressed that you've taken on this project...
You rock it girl and dad is so cool! You talk 4 degree's celcius, then a wall of wood, cracked me up! Frank is holding the ball waiting like a good boy. Lovely much love from Texas 💜
If you ever have a big project like that, you need to have me come and Frank sit and play ball with him. 😁
I see now why good mechanics are so expensive and impossible to find . Frank is so photogenic.
Engine almost looks like a heart from that angle💚
Ditto to all the comments, about your dad being AWESOME!!!
I like how you do a recap. That brings continuity. Also, I wish I had mechanical aptitude. 👏🏻
Doing a great job, and also thanks for not putting in any fill music, love the natural sounds of the process.
What a super-treasure for you to be able to do this work with your Dad!♥️♥️♥️
Loving all the knowledge that comes from these last few videos, but loving the green engine even more!!!!!!
That is a big Joe well done good luck . From south Sarasota , FL we thank you !!🐅

Wow so old school love it!! I did same thing with my dad when i was 18. A million years ago 😢😢😢
Your dad is so cool to help you !!!
Thank goodness for the men and Fathers who know what they're doing!!!! It's a blessing to have them! You've done well, keep it all up☺👍💟🌻
Have to say it’s so inspiring to see you embrace learning about the mechanics of your van!! Most of us would leave it to the man and run the other way!! Kudos and thanks for all the effort you go to in your videos. 👏🙌❤️
Oh Frank's disappointment just after 4:00 is so real!
What a great job. You’re so blessed to have such a great Dad. Goldie in Jacksonville Florida
LOVE the color of the engine. Cant wait to see how it turns out and how it runs and drives.
I LOVE the green engine block!
All the hard work will pay off You and your Dad are getting close to completion. Then back on the road again. Always looking ahead.
I love your videos! You’re doing a stellar job on the van. Shout out to your dad for helping and teaching you. He’s a good mechanic!
Congratulations on getting to 10K !!! 👏👏👏

Inspiring people make great dog owners.
That was a classic 😂 dad joke! Goodonyas, and props to pops!
Frankie clips! 👍😎🇨🇦🐾 Great job on the engine, Amanda and dad! ⭐
Your experience brought back memories of my first engine rebuild. First time getting black greasy hands, you know, dirt with a little grease, working its way into every swirl of your fingerprint, … yada, yada
i was 19, bought a clunker for college, 350 miles away. Old Ford Galaxy with a 240, a straight six. Dad let me do everything, except install the piston rings ….. Got the engine all back together, in the car, and drove out the driveway. So smooth starting up, i drove around the block. Used up a quart of oil 😀😆😂🤣
i learned Two lessons on that project. Hard work isn’t fatal, just dirty. And even Dad’s 🤔 can install piston oil wiper rings upside down 🤣🤣🤣.
Yes, i got to tear the engine down again. Installed the piston rings right way up myself, and was out of beer money for a month for the extra gasket sets again. 🥲
Best time with my dad, ever, btw😘
Ah the romance of the automobile. Its truly amazing how each part depends on the other. Pretty soon, you’ll just need to plug it in to the wall.
Wow look at you, Henry David Thorough!!
You have such a great attitude! This must be such an exhausting, tedious, and nerve-wracking process, but through it all you (and your dad) just seemed so chill. It is great to see.
GREAT engine footage!! Believe it or not it reminded me a lot of surgery. Your dad is so calm and appears to be a great teacher😎Hey to Mom and Alice and of course kisses to Frank 🥰🥰🥰🏞 I like how you show real life in a van and I'm so happy you have such a supportive and loving home base!🥰
A informative video, thank you. I too have a GMC van with a 5.7 L. 1975.
A bit more work then a '73 air cooled VW Beetle.
Frank has been very patient.
Great job it's a big Jod , FOR any one ! Good luck we , Thank you from south Sarasota , FL .
You're a very smart young lady it's nice to see... Not many could do a motor and a lot of other things you do... Get some rest enjoy a couple of days y'all been working hard on that van...❤️🤟🍺
Wow! Amazing. You always manage to wow me.
you and your dad a team/wow/you going to have dependable van-oh yea-oh yea/nice-nice-nice/your family is great to do ALL this for you/an you are a great one too/all that hard work for a good van too/thanks much
Way more entertaining watching the engine build that that guy who climbs mountains lol
Great to know one can get parts for a older GM van at Napa.
Bravo to you and your dad you pulled off a engine repair and reassembly in a better time than most of these so-called repair shops 💪🔧🔨🚐🐶
So the engine is kinda the same color as Frank's ball ha ha. Love you videos!
Awesome job ! Just finished putting a new orange engine in my 93 chevy... not an inch to spare😁 next get Dad on board for a 4x4 conversion so you can keep up with foresty 👍.... your dad rocks💪
Amazing project. What a great gift. A new heart for Truck
Wow! Wonder Woman! She works on vans.....
Nice bonding with your dad! I must say that I have really wanted a wrenching buddy in the past 50 something years and recently had to sell 2 vans, 1994 astro and 1995 GMC Sierra due to lack of good help....
In other words, count your blessings grrl!!!
Your smile makes me smile. Keep it up. Looking forward to you getting the engine swap complete and seeing (hearing) it running. Also congratulations on 10k subscribers.
👍🏻 I'm enjoying watching you three working on your van. It's a lot neater watching engine repair than doing it myself. Hi Frank! You're a great supervisor! 🐕
Amanda, you and frank are awesome
Amanda does awesome stuff, what more can I say. Carry on !
What an accomplishment! Such a massive project…your mum and dad must be so proud of you😊 And I’m sure Frank is extremely proud of you. Loved the nose boop at the end too❤️
Whata purdy engine. Getting there little by little. Be proud of yourself. Also, I’ve never seen a slackline like that. Looks complicated but I’m sure you’re used to it by now. The one I have is just two pieces with a crank thing to tighten. Interesting. Also looks thinner so I’m sure it’s actually more difficult to balance on than mine which I can still only make a couple steps before dropping. Good job with the supervising Mr. Frank, even though he wanted a break with his ball. Cute.
Looking forward to your next post!
Always enjoy the stuff you do.
I think it's awesome watching you put your van together
Won't be long now on your be back on the road looks good
I did all this to my van also but the pay off is awesome I could not afford a new engine but I found one that was sitting long time and documented low miles I did wiper motor, starter, alternator, fuel pump, carburetor, distributor, coil, steering column, all relays, antifreeze, transfluid, exhaust, battery, brakes, rotors,I mean alottttt.lol I have it on my RUclips if you get bored I have the first video of my van naked and all the way till I took it on a multiple state trip and back ....love you channel
So special the relationship with your Dad. It’s a beautiful thing to watch the ease that the two of you have together. Your both blessed. Give him a big hug with a I love you in his ear for all your fans.
Right on! Excited to watch the new engine install.
Once again I am proud to say you have taken on a task and have learned and excelled at repowering your rig.
Very cool, those are gonna be great memories.
Really enjoying this engine swap series. Fun stuff!
