Why does the weather station have to be so high? Isn't it possible to just put it 6 feet away or something where you can change the batteries in the future?
Shouldn't have to change the batteries for years. The more in the open it is, the better data you will get from rain sensor, wind speed, and direction. Also your house will leak heat in the winter, you don't want that messing your reading.
