Although I haven't heard of any fake Molten BG3000 basketballs on the market, it helps to know what you should look for, if you have any doubts about the authenticity of your ball. This is specifically for a size 7 ball but does include the barcodes for size 5 and size 6 BG3000 balls too. Hope it helps
Just got mine and it's great and came back here to check if I got an official ball or not. It's identical in every way, especially the barcode, except for those numbers at 7:10. Mine goes MS1121. I hope it just means it's from a different batch but doesn't invalidate its authenticity. Thanks for this, it was very helpful :)
Why is the genuine molten have a smooth texture on the writing and the barcode. If printed, shouldn’t it have a rough texture instead of smooth one?Because the smooth one can sometime messes up the grip and shot
Hi Hew Min The Molten GG7X is an indoor ball. I don't know of the Spalding ball you mention. If looking for an outdoor basketball from Molten then the BG3000 the best model
Hi Shane Marshall, we have been waiting most of this year for the BG3000 ball to arrive. We placed orders in October 2021 but they keep getting delayed. I am hoping for a delivery within the next few weeks however, on the trade b2b site it says the next available stock is arriving 22nd July. We don't know at this time if another delivery is coming before, if so, we will get earlier. I hope this helps
There’s like 0 molten bg3000’s for size 7 anywhere I look, and even in the link I clicked there was only size 6. Where do I get one then? Pls respond sir
Hi Dexiurim I have checked and Molten will take stock around the 22nd July 2022. Sportsballshop will have stock the week after this date. I hope that helps.
Hi Jon they have an rrp of around £30 www.sportsball.co.uk/molten-bg3000-basketball/ this review site tells you more about the ball. If in Uk they are available from our Sportsballshop website or via the Amazon link
Most of the Molten basketball range is available on www.sportsballshop.co.uk. Although stocks are low as I write but more are due into the UK in June/July2022. There has been a shortage for 12 months acrosss all brands, as many cancelled orders through covid to conserve money. Factories were then slow to restart manufacture which has had a knock on effect. Shipping costs and raw material prices have also mean't some brands delayed ordering to see if prices went back down. This hasn't happened so by delaying ordering, they made the stock situation worse.
Hi Ng Yu The BG3340 isn't listed on the Molten website (www.molten.co.jp) so I can only assume this isn't a genuine model number and may be a spoof Chinese image claiming to be an official ball. The Molten BG3000 is a genuine model numbe and is a great outdoor basketball
@@ngyu1980 Thanks and you are correct It is on the Official Molten China site. I ddin't realize they had a different range to the rest of the world. It looks like these balls are manufactured in China where as the balls we get are manufactured in Thailand, in most cases. It appears as if the BG3340 is an indoor/outdoor ball so would be very similar to the BG3000. Thanks for commenting and educating me.

I just recently got one and inflated it. Lots of the sides connecting the black strips to the red and white patches look very imperfect. You can even see some of glue on the separation spaces. If I recall, the leather is pretty soft on my friend's one and mine is pretty hard Do you think I got a fake one? Thanks

The BG3000 ball is synthetic leather. People don't like change, these balls are excellent but they are different and spo the new style grip will take some accepting. It was a bold move from Molten to change the grip style from the traditional pebble grip
@@SportsBallStu I just played with it and I think it might be because the ball has a really unique feel it can be a bit misleading. Looks like an indoor ball but has a v hard feel to it. I hope it breaks in over time tbh.

Do you recommend BG3000 as the best Molten ball to use outdoors? I don’t mind the texture change as long as it grips well
Hi Xander yes the BG3000 is the highest quality outdoor basketball from Molten. It is a decent ball too
@Basket BALR I haven't used the Libertia ball but it does have the old style grip and has much more appealing colourway
Whats the Difference between BG3000 and BG3200? Is the BG3200 also good for Outdoor use?
Hi Robertson Silvestre We do not have the BG3200 in the UK so cannot pass comment I'm afraid. In fact I have not heard of this model

just bought the BG3000. Better be good
I hope so 🤞
