Interesting, I own several Hammerstorms now, and the inconsistent barrel molding is not a shared experience. They all function fine, and perform better than a Hammershot. But I am SO glad someone besides me finally noticed the insane number of sling mounts on the darn thing!

The thinness of the walls in the cylinder, and the inconsistent shooting that you reported, is probably why Nerf opted for a five-round cylinder in the Hammershot. I think if they want to update the Hammershot, they need to keep the holsterability (is that a word?) but move it to the Elite line and get a better-looking grip.

Hey people thinking of buying this! I bought one of these Nerf blasters and I want to tell everyone how the blaster is so far. First of all, it BROKE IN 2 MONTHS and trust me, I don't throw my blasters around or use them roughly, but, the hammer spring just started to get really weak and it shot around 30 fps and also half of the time the cylinder will not go back when I pull back the hammer so I have to manually move the cylinder which is sometimes a hassle. If you don't know how to fix Nerf blasters then I don't recommend this but if you know how to repair blasters, then I recommend this.

Slice off the entire bottom, right up to where the front orange meets the yellow. If they could keep the barrel seal consistent then those things together have just made a better hammershot.
2:09 You can hold the trigger and 'fan the hammer', not sure if you put that later in the video... It's pretty painful but it works as an adult with no shame in having one of these.
I literally got mine yesterday at target it was the last one there. Even the website didn't say it was in stock. I absolutely love the fact that it has barrel attachment point and 2 tac rails. I have always wanted a more modular hammershot.

Nerf was on the right track, but really messed up. If they could reskin it in the accustrike series, with less goofy plastic and consistent barrel diameter, this would be an awesome blaster
I wish they made this thing for normal N-strike Elite,but cut away the useless plastic on the top and bottom,because this pistol could out perform the hammer shot for generally the same price to create.
I see lots of modding potential in this blaster. Mostly aesthetics. I wouldn't mind just cutting it to where it looks like a long hammershot. 3D print a better cylinder. Maybe a better body that just has the slim bits it needs. And paint and internals.
