That was so much fun to hear some Swedish. I think the painting style on the bread board is called kurbits. There is a Swedish Wikipedia page that says the kurbits style is from Dalarna. In English it seems to be referred to as rose-painting. Other names for it are dalmålning and rosemaling. It seems to be a Norwegian - Swedish crossover painting style. Thanks for the video.
That’s so cool you’re second gen American. My mom was born in England but I was born in America, so I’m second gen too. Would love to know more about your multicultural upbringing in your videos. 🤗
That's so cool!! I'd love to start opening up more with sharing this. A lot of the ways I grew up were a bit "different" haha and have helped to make me unique.
I love your outfits! I love the Hobbitcore style but I prefer to wear black, gray, and jewel tones and it's so hard to find inspiration outfits that aren't shades of green, brown, and cream (like Rachel Maksy lol).
i think i have some fabric thats really similar to or possibly the same as the mesh floral stuff you grabbed at 4:30! its so pretty. someday im going to make a teuta matoshi inspired dress with it
Those were great folk style costumes. I used to make "trachten" style modern clothing because it suited me so much better then regular style stuff.
That's really awesome! I love the style!
