The carbon paper lines can wash off if they're not too dark. So if you don't press too hard then they will wash out. But they should all be covered by the embrodiery anyway.
Hello, I can't advise you on this because I don't know what fabric your cardigan is made out of or what shape it is or what kind of pattern you want to transfer onto it or what tools you have. In the video you just watched it does talk about fabric which is the most important part of transferring a pattern. For example you can't use carbon paper on wool.

I use a tailors chalk pencil and that works really well
Is the carbon paper reusable? or should you use a new one everytime you transfer a pattern
Carbon paper is usually re-usable.
